I tried a manduka before making the leap. Its not as sticky as some other major brands, but I like that. Its an adjustment but its good overall. It rolls out nicely with and is a lovely color.

I purchased my pro mat almost a year ago. Did the salt scrub 2 times after I first got it; it helped a little but didnt make a huge difference, but I mainly attend hot yoga classes so I used a yogitoes towel pretty much every class (awesome grip when sweating, highly recommended!) and I think that even though the surface of the mat was covered by a towel, the movement of my feet and hands were abrasive enough against the surface of the mat over time to where I can now use it during hot yoga without a towel. I dont know that it necessarily took a year to get to that point as I only just recently stopped bringing my towel and discovered how much grippier my mat is. My hands dont slip during non-heated classes, and theres very minimal micro slipping of the hands during downward dog when very sweaty. I think the time it took to get to a grippy state is worth the wait, and I like the idea of the closed cell surface so my mat doesnt turn into a bacterial cesspool even after spraying it down as pretty much every other mat will. To those complaining about the slipping, hang in there and just keep showing up on your mat, itll get way better!

I love this mat ! Im so glad u was able to buy this solstice ( split color ) in the black / mauve on sale - I had the YWA collab split mat ( black / tan ) I bought a couple years ago but I stupidly bought the long one ( weighs 10 lbs and hate carrying it to class) I almost didnt but this new color split bc I rationalized it was the same mat. I finally gave in and so glad I did! I use this solstice mat all the time and its my choice now to go to class. I love the mid line bc I can use it to line up my warrior 2 etc !

I was so disappointed in how my mat arrived. My last Manduka mat was the full bloom that I purchased from Altitude Sports. It arrived in a nice box and unboxing it was so exciting. The mat is gorgeous and its the nicest mat Ive ever had. So much so I decided to get another one to have with me at the cottage or to take on road trips so I can have one wherever I am. I expected my experience purchasing through Manduka to be at least as wonderful. When my box arrived the tape on both ends was ripped open and it had even started to rip slightly along the top. When I picked the box up I couldnt believe that I could see inside it and there was nothing around my mat to protect it. When I opened the box the mat felt grimy. On top of that at first I thought I was sent a solid color instead of the limited edition root that I had ordered. Upon closer inspection I saw that it was in fact the root it just has a much more subtle design than the full bloom. All in all Im disappointed to have paid so much for something that arrived in such careless packaging and had such a subtle design. I know the pro mats are amazing so it will be used. I just wish the experience had been as wonderful as my first pro mat was.

Bought two mats and a set of blocks as Christmas gifts and have not received them. Its been almost 30 days. Customer service just gives you the run around. Buy from another company.

So disappointing, I bought this with high hopes of a grippy comforting surface and i got the exact opposite. I dont consider myself and excessively sweaty person either but its actually impossible to mindfully practice yoga on this mat because i move inches at a time while in a pose, vinyasa yin any kind of yoga it was awful. Ver disappointed in the lack of grip considering the price and reviews. Unfortunate that so many studios also carry this mat as the complementary mat included with classes.

I dont think give a worse review, I would be better off practicing yoga mat less which was devastating to discover after the cost of this mat. Ive never experienced such a slippery yoga mat despite multiple treatment attempts.

I ordered a black mat and they sent a green mat. Reached out to customer service as soon as I received it but still have yet to hear back. Going on almost a week now

Far too heavy for the studio. I wished the differences of the mats would come clearer at the website. Also the return process is very complicated

So stylish, and its obviously high quality fabric. I gave 4 stars because it's slippy but hopping the problem solve by itself in time

Never received my purchase. After a delivery attempt, my package was at a UPS pickup point that was half an hour from my delivery address (there are pick up points every 200m everywhere, why stock it in one 30 minutes away from the delivery address ?) - I contacted the aftersale service that was very bad : couldn't offer a proper solution. I specified I would pick up the package at a certain date. When I arrived to the delivery point, the package was returned to you

Great quality!

The color is beautiful, size and thickness are perfect and it did not even have a strong new smell. I salt-prepped the surface, as suggested. So far Ive used the mat in two warm yoga classes. The reason for the 3 is because the mat isnt as grippy as Id hoped. When in down dog or other hands-on-mat poses, I slowly slid out. I ended up putting wash cloths under my hands and that worked ok. I think/hope once it gets worn in, its be more grippy.

Love this mat. It's nice a thick, very grippy, and incredibly high quality. I bought it as a gift for my dad after years of loving my own.

This is my second Manduka Pro mat. I have one at work and, now, one at home, too. The mat has the ideal thickness and firmness for me. I also like that it is longer and wider than other mats I've used. I don't like a sticky mat, and this mat definitely isn't. In fact, its greatest challenge is that it is a little slippery, especially when new. The mat I purchased earlier was the same, and I'm confident this one will become less slippery with use, too. Finally, these mats are almost indestructible. I expect both of them to last me many many years.

I absolutely love the Pro yoga mat 6mm! The texture provides perfect traction, keeping me stable in every posture. The mat is sturdy and thick enough to protect my knees, yet still lightweight enough to carry around. Love it!
