Really like the style, fit and quality of the shoe. Not a fan of the "rocker sole"

I got my new balance shoes to help me with a foot issue, the firmness and the comfort has helped me a great deal and the workmanship of the shoe is very good. I ordered my shoes online and they were delivered within a couple of days.
The only negative comment I have about the shoes is That the souls are very slippery in the cold and wet environment, otherwise I would have given them 5 stars for sure.

I was so looking forward to these shoes, for comfort and durabvility. Unfortunately, they don't fit as well as My 993 running shoes--they are a bit too wide and not particularly comfortable.

This is the third pair of brown walking shoes my husband has ordered from New Balance, as he has very wide feet. Two prior pairs came in brown suede, which we liked. This recent pair looks like plastic. We are keeping them as they are comfortable, even though they don't look as nice as prior versions.

Daily walking. So far, they seem good, but I need to walk into them for a week or so. I usually walk 70-100 miles per week and your soft soles do not work for me--I know they are for running, but I have used NB shoes for at least 40 years and I have always found your running shoe to work well (when I ran) and presumed they would be good for walking.

Good fit. Stable. But a very heavy shoe for walking in.

Been wearing this model for about 15 years. As a nurse, I wear out a pair every 6 months. But I had to return the last 2 pairs because there was rubbing at the medial great toes. I've never experienced this issue.
Two pairs that I purchased last year had decreased comfort in the upper, and tongues that are too short.
Purchased the 847. The D width is too narrow. The 2E (my normal width) are essentially clown shoes: giant toe box, where my forefoot swims around. Unfortunately, I'm now looking at competitors.

I have only worn the shoes 5 times but lately, while walking I have started hearing a clicking sound from the right shoe. I am hoping as the break-in time continues that sound will go away. I'm a returning customer as I have 3 other pairs of NB shoes and they are excellent.

Nice shoes have bought dozens of pairs of 12 6E. But there just to narrow anymore and are killing my toes and feet. Wish they would make a USA Version that is wider than 6E

Size 9, arch length is 7.75 inches from the back of the heal (my arch length needs, are for 7.25 inches) therefore the area for the ball of the foot is about .5 inches to far forward. This is a common problem I find in all footwear made "off the shelf" no matter which manufacturer makes them. This came as a 6E width (marketing terms) my basic needs in real measurements are for a 4.25 inches in width. NB width for a 6E measures just slightly less then that, about 4 1/8th inches. (inside measurements). Heal and high instep area is ok.
You need to call them to find out what kind of last is used as their website no longer identifies which shoes has what kind of last. My closes needs are for an SL2 last. Shape for the toes should be closer to a minimalist shoe were it goes straight up the inside to the front of the big toe then arc towards the top of the little toe. Allowing the toes to spread and not get impinged in anyway. Bottom line: its a compromised for us people with extra wide feet. Not perfect but one has to wear something. As for overall fit, none of the suggestions below fits my criteria. If you are only stating the length then true to size, but not if comparing between 5 to 7 fit points needed at least, for a proper fitting.

Good leather shoe with fantastic support. However, this is fourth pair in two years as inside backing wears out after 4-6 months. Shoes no longer made in USA and quality not as good but continue to buy due to orthopedic surgeon recommendation.

I always replace the innersoles with my prescribed orthodics and they are thicker than the factory innersole. With those in place, the shoes feel wider than they should be, the length may also felt a bit longer. I really liked the overall appearance of the shoe but those two things make them not for me. I have been a Zappos customer for many years and appreciate the ability to easily return a pair of shoes when they do not properly fit. Thanks Zapposs.
I'd also recommend:
There are numerous other brands as well as this brand that I like and wear.

They were bulky. Not what I was expecting. I had similar pair that were mesh rather than leather. Just looked too big on my foot. I am a big fan of New Balance shoes, but these just didn't look good on my feet.

I bought these in April (it's now September) because my usual NB 577 was not in stock. I have a narrow foot and these have felt much wider than the 577. The shoes feel closer to what I imagine a medium would feel like and my feet slip around. Although they have held up well in everyday use, I am looking at replacing these before their time.

The new width designations were confusing resulting in a return of the product. I have been a customer of NB since 1974 4E width was the designation. now it is in x's who new.

Everyday. Good for diabetics.
Only thing that would've given a better rating would be communication. No updates on shipping

After talking to customer rep. after I could not find any 990 in my size, the 928 was recommended. Aside from looking like an old man's shoe they are very stiff and after two weeks still don't feel broken in enough to be completely comfortable. I'd love to go back to 990's but new balance never has 10.5 wide in stock.

I only wish you had 1/2 sizes. Been wearing the shoe for years. Size 12&1/2, but settled for a 12. A little tight on one foot. Will have to do.

I ordered a B width and it was still too wide so I had to return it and waiting for my credit now.

The 928v3 is an excellent athletic shoe though the issue is finding them IN STOCK!.....New Balance will get 5-6 pair in stock and then they sell out in a couple days.....Please don't use the "pandemic" excuse....The truth is your production team is dropping the ball. The 6E wide width needs to be kept IN STOCK at all times.....New Balance loses thousands of dollars in revenue to other shoe manufacturers when they do not keep these 6E Wide Width 928 shoes in stock!

Unfortunately, this model was less than I expected , as is was narrower than the 2e wide that I have received from other model numbers ordered from you!
