NB is the best support shoe of all brands -- but the 928v3 is not quite perfect. I agree with other reviewers -- Tongue is too short. Bunion area too rough. Supplied shoelaces come untied even when double knotted. Traction pattern too narrow, collects and keeps gravel & mud and then are slippery. After buying leather and breathable versions 928v2 and 928v3, I still prefer my original 928's, though shabby.

Good style of shoe where you do a lot of walking and standing.

They keep me from twisting my ankle and give my feet the support they need. Only down side, the traction. They are slippery when the soles get wet. Please redesign that, and get rid of the blue! Make them ALL White.

This shoe has a high collar and it is uncomfortable. Otherwise, the color is good and it has good support. The toe box is roomy. It is a wee bit large.

I liked this shoe except that it comes up too high on my ankle and causes it to rub. Good shoe for my size 12 AA feet. Perfect for my Morton's Neuroma and has good support for my flat feet. I wish I could have kept it.

The original 928 were better & more comfortable. The tongue is too short. They do feel stable & keep my foot straight & my orthotics fit in them well. They are very stiff & trying to break them in I am on my feet almost 8 hrs a day. Please bring back the original 928!

Love this shoe. Very supportive and comfortable at the same time. I have Plantar Fasciitis. My podiatrist recommended the NB 928 and it is definitely the best shoe I've tired for the heel pain. And I've tried MANY! NB, Brooks and others. However, there are a few things to know before ordering: 1)It runs at least ONE full size too long! 2)It also runs narrow 3)The color is not tan as in the picture, it is definitely GREY. My normal size in NB shoes is 6 Medium. I had to return these for a 5 Wide! And I have never worn a 5! My normal size is 5.5 or 6. Just be sure to order a size smaller than your usual and maybe get a wide. It's a wonderful, cute, comfortable and very supportive shoe. I'm ordering it in navy also.

I have been a faithful New Balance shoe wearer in previous years. I started with 925, then 926, 927, and 928. When they came out with the 928v2, I could not even get my foot in to the size 10.5N that I usually wear. So I ordered the 10.5M in 928v2 and walked right out of them. At this point, I sent them back and went on to Brooks Addiction Walkers that I also have worn in the past. Those fit better, but lately have seemed a little short (but 11N was too long), and also did not provide as much support as the New Balance for my very flat, low volume, feet that overpronate. I am on my feet about 12 hours a day as a teacher, and have been having some knee pain. So I decided to give New Balance another try and saw the 928v3. Some reviewers said this shoe is closer to the original 928. This version is roomier in the toe box, and fits me pretty well, though the heel cup is a little shallow. Also, the tongue is shorter, and the laces are so short that I can barely double tie them. I think for the price they should put in laces of adequate length! For this reason, the shoes dropped a star in my rating. I have worn the shoes for 3 days, and they seem to be getting more comfortable. They are a very rigid shoe and it can feel like you are literally "pounding the pavement." But I need rigid support, so this is the best shoe I can find. I also wear orthotics from The Walking Company, and they have helped give me a little cushioning. If you have flat, narrow feet, these are certainly worth a try. These are the best choice for me. If New Balance would add longer laces, lengthen the tongue, and improve the heel cup, they would be 5 star shoes.

So far, so good, better than v2, BUT, as a replacement for my old WW928 with Rollbar (very important for me) this new 928v3 feels like the rollbar is missing, or smaller. Compared to another model without a rollbar, this DOES seem to have one, but diminished from the original 928. It's still better than no rollbar at all, still a good walking shoe. I use some orthotic devices, and they work well added to the removable footbed in the shoe. In the old 928, I removed the footbed competely, and only added the orthotics. With a diminshed rollbar, the extra seems to work okay.

I have been buying these shoes for several years. I walk and spend a lot of time on my feet. These are nice strong shoes which offer the support I need. The style was recently changed and they look rather clunky. My granddaughters asked why I was wearing boy shoes. I wear them for the support, even if not stylish.

I love the shoes except for the very narrow tread spacing. Soles tend to pick up and hold lots of very small stones. The stones tend to scratch vinyl and wood flooring; and the stones are very difficult to to get out. Also, the soles are thin and wear out too soon.

The 928's are the shoe for me. I have tried the leather but I do not think they feel the same as the suede when I walk. I bought the blue suede because I wanted color but I do not get that roll feeling that I get when I wear my tan suede 928's. I will buy another pair because they do give me the support I need.

I have been wearing this style for well over 10 years. When the v2 came out I was disappointed but they were still better than any other shoe. I do like the v3 better than the v2, but not as much as the original. The tongue is too short, the shoe is not deep enough at the heel and it's not quite as wide in the toe box. I like many others would like to see this more like the original. Also all white leather would be nice.

Nice shoes. Made well. Comfortable now that I have the right size. I had to buy 4 pairs and returned 3 but finally got the right one. Customer service is awesome and refunds come quickly. Version 3 is much .or like the original 928. Stay away from version 2 unless you want really narrow shoes.

The New Balance WW928v3 is a very nice shoe, as it should be for the price of over $150.00! I love that it is made of a leather upper, and I LOVE the color. It is a greyish-beige or a beige-y grey, so it is not true to either color but coordinates well with many things. The leather upper in this color makes me want to keep them. This shoe fits my feet well in my usual size 9.5 W, however when I remove the New Balance insoles and insert my prescribed orthotics, the shoe feels too tight in the toe box on my left foot. Wearing very thin socks helps initially, but inevitably the result is the same - they are simply too short in the toes for my problem left foot, and as such eventually cause cramping. I also dislike very much the wide, flat outsole, with almost no contours. It is almost straight-edged without a narrower 'waist' or 'lifted' portion under the arch, which I believe makes these shoes stiffer and hard to flex. This may be a result of them being designed for Unisex sizing, which I find to be unsuitable for my needs. I could try a 10.0 W, but I will most likely just return them. Thank goodness for Zappos!

There was only one thing very wrong with this pair. I couldn't get the laces through the eyelets. They are stuck, even as I return them. I've ordered Brooks, sadly to say.

I have a couple of different style NB shoes and they fit perfectly. This style was just very different in fit (Need 7 1/2 W). Tried couple of sizes but could not get a comfortable, safe fit . Really like the color and style, but had to return all. Zappos very helpful with returns.
