I have bought this shoe for a while and like it very much. My last pair did not seem to have as much support as usual. I hope New Balance has not changed how the 928v3 is made. Please do not mess with a good thing.

I used full-length orthotics (rigid), so I need a shoe without arch support, i.e., neutral. Of the 928v3 series, the blue suede is the nicest looking. I have the 928 before they started modifying them to v1, v2, v3. My take is that New Balance cut back on materials, both in quality and quantity. I have a history of ownership, so trust me on this one. The toe box is a bit narrower on the new versions. Great shoe.

It's true to size and width. It needs to have more padding in the heel.

So far so good. The toe box is giving my toes the extra room they need. However, it might be a couple of months before I can tell if I am wearing out the shoe from the inside as I did with the previous pair that we one size width smaller. I do wish they made a shoe with a choice of toe box width and heal width. Even using the runners tie I still feel that the heal is a little loose. On the right shoe which is on my smaller foot, I find that the tongue keeps slipping down and the tie ends up not being on the tongue but under neither it after a while. I have switched to a heavier sock but that might negate the wider toe box. Hope not!.

These are my winter everyday shoes . They offer good support for feet and legs and are warm. I am 81 years old and have bought numerous pairs thru the years. I am disappointed that the leather used has been changed...this leather is much harder and is causing chaffing on my ankles and causing discomfort. I would rather pay more for a better quality product ...I am sure that You know what I am referring to!

Review goal: to be of help to those like myself who wear full-length orthotics. My orthotics were cut specifically for the original 928, before the v1,2,3's. The toe box had become smaller and shallower in v1/2. V3 is better due to feedback from customers. I like the suede shoe, although $5 more than the other, cheaply-made versions. My orthotics fit this shoe, and they are not thin-and-minimalist orthotics. I had to return the other colors because the quality was awful: New Balance has cut corners with quality and amount of material. Leather, stitching, and amount of material were greatly reduced. The purpose was not a "style change" but rather to make more$$$ by providing less. The blue suede seems to be of decent quality relative to the other colors of "pleather" or cheap leather. The sole is quite an improvement on the original 928s. Holding on to my several pairs of 928 originals to take to shoe repair for new soles. It is worth it. Bottom line: orthotics fit in the v3 shoe.

The shoe looks great on, but runs a tiny bit narrow.

This shoe fits beautifully and is a great walking shoe (in fall and summer weather - no traction in winter months with snow!). My one complaint is the tongue. This may seem odd to some, but the tongue has a design flaw. Where the leather and cloths section is sewn together makes it difficult (for me) to get it tied securely. Loosening the shoe lace is also frustrating. The sew area is "in the way".

Hunting for all leather black New Balance shoes. I currently have two pair of 847s, v2 I think, that are a great fit in 8.5 M (I wear them with replacement NB insoles for arch support & etc.) This shoe, at least the pair I received in 8.5M, fit so differently and was so noticeably longer and wider that I actually checked to make sure it wasn't a men's shoe instead. (It wasn't.) Going to try a half size smaller.

I use these shoes for taking long walks in the park or thru the city. They are the only shoes that I can wear on longer walks as they provide the perfect support. I also buy the leather as my toes push thru the nylon. I wish the following: 1. You could provide the same support in the nylon type and just make allowances for toes pushing thru 2. I wish you had more colors than black, grey and white 3. I wish they were not so expensive

I was very fond of the original 928. The leather of this new version is better but it is still too stiff. The original was very soft and bendable. Please try to remake it in version 4. The toe box is perfect. My feet are very wide at the toes with a bunion.

I have been buying this style of NB for the past 12 years because of the wide last. But I miss the original upper design (version 1)..

I wear orthodtics in my shoes and must have Motion Control shoes. I am wondering if this is really going to hold out and give me the the support the 928 v 3 all leather shoe gave me. Fit is a little different- tighter than the all leather shoe.

I love the shoes and they are very comfortable with one exception. My ankle on the left foot rubs against the edge of the shoe. I fixed the problem by adding an insert and enjoy wearing them.

I think others mentioned this, but the toe box is short. This is unfortunate, because a shoe like this is designed for comfort and I expected more generous space for my toes.

These are very attractive shoes and not terribly uncomfortable, but tighter on the toes than other shoes made on the same last. Because they are suede, I am hopeful that they will stretch some with wear to become more comfortable.

I have dreadfully flat feet and these shoes really help keep pronation to a minimum. I have purchased several pair of this model over the years and they really help.

love the shoes. a little heavy, but that is just me...I am recovering from a head injury and charcot foot injury, so that colors everything over...but great shoes nevertheless...

I've been buying this shoe for years. In the olden days it fit perfectly on initial wearing and provided the support and comfort I need. Later models have required a period of "breaking-in" as they rubbed one foot in one place or another such that I had to change shoes after a 1 to 2 mile walk. Sometime it was the right foot and sometime it was the left foot, depending on the specific pair of shoes. It is still one of the best shoes I can buy for my feet so I work through the break in period which can be weeks.

I work long hours on concrete floors, and these are the best shoes I have found this far. I wish their was a but more of firm support, especially at the arch, but they more than do the job.
