I bought these almost a year ago, not knowing that the version 3 would be larger than v2. It does not fit me well at all, therefore I will have to return them. I recently decided to try the same model 1/2 size smaller, and (I guess because I'm between sizes) this worked for.me. But I am not happy with New Balance for calling is the same style. It is NOT. It also has a lower heel back, which is not good news for those of us who wear orthotics. Sigh.Why do they do this???

I used to purchase the original 928's and always ordered 5 1/2 -4E and this new model V3 is a 1/2 size bigger and wider than the old version - I returned for a 5 /2E and they fit like the old ones.

Still wish NB hadn't messed with the original 928, which I wore for years because of foot problems. However, the V3 is far better than the disastrous V2, just not as good as the original.

Much better than V2. Be advised V3 6.5 4E is almost exactly the same size and width as V1 6 2E.

I have a pair of 928v2 in a size 9 2E. They are extremely comfortable and surprisingly wide enough for my bunion. So I decided to try the 928v3 in a size 9 EE, which would seem to be the same as 2E, right? Well, for whatever reason, be it a general narrowing of the shoe or a subtle difference between 2E and EE, I don't know, but the v3 in EE was narrower. Bummer. I will probably go ahead and order the 4E in it. That 4E is usually the width I have to order, and I have to order it in men's sizes (I wear an 8 in men's) since most women's shoes don't come in 4E. This one apparently does. Since the v2 is just about the most comfortable shoe I've ever had right out of the box, I will cross my fingers that the 4E in the v3 is as comfy. Why do the styles have to change ever dang year? Huh? sigh.

I’ve tried 4E widths in a couple varieties of NB now and my feet are just too wide for this brand. I have heel pain and the cushion on these felt great but just a couple laps in the house and the toe box rubbed on me painfully. I felt the shoe size was true, maybe even go a 1/2 size up. Sucks to have to send them back.

I bought the shoe for the full cut toe box, which it has. actually the whole shoe has a bit of a looser fit than I expected. The 990 fits more snuggly and so feels more supportive, but again the toe box isn't as full. The 928 is a very firm( stiff as some have said) feel, hopefully that will soften up a little. I do use orthotics so that probably contributes also to the stiffness. The blue color is nice. Arch support is moderate. They also keep my feet warm in the fall weather.

Not bad- the heel is hard and the shoe is not cushy at all. The wide fit is a solid wide and I really appreciate that. Just wish it was not such a hard sole. I"m on the fence with these.

With having a hard to fit foot, 11,2A, I was glad the 12’s ran a bit small since most 11’s run small and they don’t make 11.5. Taupe color is nice.

I love New Balance and have been wearing the 411's when I decided to give these 928's a chance. I bought size 10 EE. The initial try on was good, a bit too wide, but will be fine with thick socks (remember, I bought extra wide). I would keep these shoes except for one thing, there is a lump/ridge in the left sole that hits right between my toe pads and the ball of that foot. The right shoe was fine, great, in fact, no issues. I walked in the shoes around the house and the lump continued. I removed the insert and walked in the shoe without it. It was not any better, the lump was built into the sole. I am sending them back. :-( If I'm going to pay $140 for a pair of shoes, they'd better be perfect.

I really wanted to love this shoe. A New Balance representative had recommended this shoe for my arthritis in my big toe joints. However, this shoe is narrower than other New Balance. I have several pairs of 10.5 B New Balance shoes, but the B width is just not enough on these shoes. Back they go.

This shoe is much nicer looking than the velco strap orthopedic shoes I usually wear, but it is too short. I returned this item. The size recommendation chart is off by about a half size.

They are not as wide as the originals but they will have to do. Sorry they fixed what was not broken. They do not appear as clunky but we who have bad feet with lots of hardware and orthotic devices have lost a friend. I am keeping since choices are very limited.
