With some online help decided to try this brand for its light weight and cushioning. Have chronic lower back pain and a bone spur on my foot was also causing some pain. My morning walks sometimes takes me through trails and pavements. The shoe has been a great help and I no longer dread getting into sneakers. Able to increase my walks to 7 miles without trouble. Looking forward to breaking the new model, Clifton 4. The dual color and the chevron stripes on the side makes it look much more stylish. The only downside I may point out is the fact that fine sand particles have a habit of messing up the soles and white sides of the shoe, which requires cleaning from time to time. Otherwise a big fan.

I have been having trouble finding the right running shoes for me. And I finally found them! I love these shoes. I'm training for a half marathon. No blisters, and my feet feel great after my long runs.

It is my 3rd model of Hoka after Odyssey and Clifton 3 and the best! I like the change in toe box design and overall comfort.

The best comfortable shoes i've ever had. I earned a lot of praises from my coworkers because of it's style and uniqueness in design plus the color combination is awesome. I'm already excited to purchase again. Super love my Clifton 4

Let me preface this by saying, I'm not a runner. I'm just a person who is abysmally difficult to fit for shoes. I'm a severe supinator with wide toes (Roman style) a high arch, and a tall instep. I bought these a few days ago from my local running shoe store (Portland Running Company < 3) in size 9.5 wide and in the last 5 days, my knee pain has almost disappeared. I walk much more quickly in these shoes with a longer stride and more stronger push off through the toe. Best of all, I don't feel like all of the effort I put into walking gets wasted via absorption into the padding. The responsiveness of the cushioning gives a great bounce to my step. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I love them. And I'll probably buy more. I might even start running... maybe.

I'm in love with the Clifton 4, I have the 3 and was afraid of this new version but I give it a go and it was the right decision, this shoes are like running in clouds ( as always in any Hoka shoes) , so comfortable , light, the toe box is great , not narrow , and the construction of the shoes is perfect , I enjoy every single mile in this shoes , can't wait to buy more colors. Hoka One One did it again , just outstanding !!

I love this shoe!!! I have fairly narrow feet and this shoe fits like a glove. It is almost impossible to buy narrow running shoes. I'm sure for people with wider feet, this shoe would be too narrow for them. Other Hoya one one designs are too wide for me. Finally, i have a athletic shoe where my feet are not sliding side to side!

Have only worn them once so far but really liked them. Good cushion, plenty of room in the toe area, most comfortable shoes I've purchased in a long time. New to this brand, will see how they hold up.

Run road and treadmill. 5k to marathon- Finally Clifton wide, Now I wont have to take 3 week stretching the toe box! Lightweight and cushioned! Fits half size large for me. I wear a 6 and had to get 5.5. Wish it will be offered in other colors but this is not bad. Not wide in heel area which is good that it hasn't slipped. Thank you. Finally !

Bought these shoes for my mom's birthday day. She love them. She started to cry because they felt so good on her feet. She told me that they are helping her with her feet pain. AWESOME shoes ;)

Just received my Clifton 4's this past week, and after 15 mile try out, I love these shoes. I'm 56, an average runner, (perfect week for me is three 5k's a week), and am an under pronator. The Toe Box on my last pair of Bondi's was too wide for me so the width of the Bondi allowed for too much outer roll, as a result the sole wore out too quickly in my opinion (had barely 300 miles in those shoes before it felt like I had no foot support). The Clifton 4 so far is a great neutral shoe, really nice fit, with average width, awesome support, super light weight. Love these shoes, and love to run in Hokas and I've run in Brooks, Mizunos, New Balance and Adidas, and the Clifton 4 has been the best from out of the box, so far. Hope this review helps when making a decision for a new shoe, since they're all an investment in both money and comfort.

My new Cliftons arrived. I was a new Hoka wearer 6 months ago. I have a foot issue and my podiatrist recommended. I am an avid runner but preferred more of a minimal shoe. I remember my first couple runs were a little awkward. They made me feel like big foot. Then it just clicked. And FYI I had the Clifton 3 as my first shoe. It did click & they all of a sudden felt like they were little clouds and feel light on my feet. Funny as now i find it hard to wear other running shoes even just for walking around. I love the new lightweight material on the 4's. I heard reviews they ran narrow & my bunion doesn't think so at all. Took them out of the box & immediately put on an amazing run.

Transitioned from Bondis. Lighter faster shoe with Hoka support and control. Wrap around your feet like a glove.

Just when I thought HOKA couldn't get better, the Clifton 4 arrived. From long runs to tempos I enjoy the great cushioning and support while being unbelievably lightweight. This is my new go to shoe.

After searching the web for the best sneakers to run long distance (half marathon training ) I came across Hoka one ones. The price was reasonable and so far the shoe has been pretty comfortable. I ran 3 miles on the first day of wearing them with no blisters, no sores, nothing. Heading out for long distance run tomorrow so I may come back and edit this review.

I originally purchased a size 9 (my normal size) but my big toe rubbed so I exchanged for a 9.5 and they fit with extra room around my toes. They are extremely comfortable but since I have a high arch, I removed the insoles and replaced with a high arch support insert by new balance and now they are perfect for me. Side note: I have morton's neuroma on both feet. Perhaps for someone with normal feet, these will be perfect all around. Overall, I am very please with the comfort.

I ordered three different Hoka's. I really like the look and they are comfortable. Not much arch support but I tried them with my own sole which worked out ok. The reason I'm returning them is that they're too narrow. I'll have to try a style that's wide.

For what it is, shoe is great;however, this is a NEUTRAL running shoe, and for those who need/desire a shoe with MORE STABILITY, this is not the best match. Returning it for a shoe with more stability for runners who over pronate.

These are very comfortable but unfortunately, I have to send back. When I put my custom orthotics in (after taking out the original insoles) - my heel slips a bit. And if I wear them without my orthotics, my mortons neuroma is painful. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful return policy.
