I work in a hospital and walk an avg 5 miles/day on concrete. These shoes have enough cushioning so that I rarely have foot discomfort. My second pair of Hoka’s. They do make a loud screech/squeal if they make contact with the floor a certain way (embarrassing). I wish they could place the color shading differently so that they look more like ‘normal’ shoes, as I have been made fun of by coworkers for having such thick soles. It’s worth it for the comfort though!

I love how responsive and cushioned these shoes are. I had Clifton 3s, purchased last year, and liked them. I think these are a better model.

Love this shoe. Walk in them daily. I have a knee that needs to be replaced; wearing these while walking, the knee pain isn't as bad and has buckled much less than in other shoes. I feel like I have a bounce to my step with the cushioning. Actually have purchased a couple more pair because we all know, they will change something about them next year...prefer to put the struggle of finding the right she off for a bit. ;) Use to wear Altra's - so glad I changed to the Hoka One Ones Clifton 4!

This is my first pair of HOKA shoes. When I put them on in the store, they felt like magic.....and they still do.

I have been distance running for 35 years and can say indisputably that the Clifton 4's are my favorite shoe ever. I tried the Clifton 3's and -even though I do not have a wide foot- found the toebox to be way too narrow. I had blood blisters on the sides of numerous toes by the third mile of their inaugural run and returned them. But the ride was so comfortable that I gave the Clifton 4's a try since I heard this issue had been addressed. It has. (And I bought the regular width- not the wide.) After a few weeks of wear I still marvel at how great my feet and legs feel on my runs - even the 20-milers. I had wondered if the adjustment from a shoe with a high heel-to-toe drop (Brooks Ghost - which I still think is a great shoe) to a low drop would be uncomfortable - but it hasn't been an issue. And the shoes are incredibly light. Great cushioning but very responsive - not at all mushy. I've read that some people find the arch to be too high. It is higher than other shoes. But I always replace the standard inserts in my running shoes with inserts that have very thick rubber arch supports and I found that I still can use these in my Hokas without rubbing or discomfort. My arches are probably even happier for the extra support. I'm not sure how long the thin rubber treads will last- I'd like them to be a little thicker. But I've put over 200 miles on the shoes and they're still going strong. With free return shipping after a month of test-wear - you can't go wrong giving the Clifton 4's a try, and you might even find your new favorite shoe. For reference- I'm a 45 y.o. female, 5'4", 118 lbs, 3:20:00 marathon, 1:29:40 HM.

Loved the shoe, couldn't stand the squeaking. Super-comfy arch and springy step. Fine if you're on carpet, but vinyl, concrete and outside - super squeaky. I knew I couldn't stand that. Friend says her shoes squeak, and it has diminished and she puts up with it. Sorry, I won't.

I purchased the Clifton 4 through Army/Air Force Exchange. This is my first pair of Hoka and I love them. I did try a pair on a few years ago, but they were too big and wide. The Clifton 4 is a perfect fit. I was worried about the fit, after reading reviews about short length. I compared the size chart to the running shoes I currently wear, and decided to go with a size 8 women's. My usual runners are 8.5 B. I used all factors to decide: 6 men's, 40 E.U. which is comparable to half size larger in other brands. Some reviews recommend going a half-size up and I suggest reading Hokas size chart to make your decision. Anyhow, I took them out for a short run, out of the box, and they feel super. I'm getting used to the cushioning and like them a lot.

I am a nurse and am on my feet (on concrete floors) for 8hrs a day! This shoe feels like I am walking on air! It's light weight and has the support that I need! I have a heel/bone spur and this shoe provides comfort all day long! I will most certainly order this product again! N

I am added running to my workout routine again for the first time in several years. The Hoka running shoes makes all the difference. I love them and am on my third pair. This is my first pair of Clifton 4's and so far my absolute favorite!

As a power walker with Morton's Neuromas I look for shoes with great support and cushioning. When my Clifton 3's got too soft, the Clifton 4 provided the right subtle shifts in design to keep me on the road logging the miles I wanted without pain.

Didn't think the Clifton 3 could be improved, but these are great. Light weight, comfortable. I use these for dog walking and are my every day shoes. My feet haven't had any problems since I started to wear Hoka one one shoes. I do add arches to them, but that's my feet needing a bit more. I don't wear any other brand of shoes any more.

These shoes feel as if i am running on clouds. My running coach recommend me switching to Hoko Cliftons for my plantar fasciitis. The day my shoes came in the mail I rushed out for a run and my FEET felt amazing. I didn't have any pain in my feet or calves as I usually do. These sneakers are light and have great support/cushion for distance running. I am very happy that I have starting wearing Hoko Cliftons.

I workout hard and since turning 40 have had a slew of foot issues. 4 years later and $500 orthotics later I kicked the fasciitis but still had exceeding foot pain. Since I got these shoes I can run pain free and the pain the following day is so much less! I'm thrilled with these clouds hugging my feet and grateful I can still go get it!

Fits great! I have some posterior tibialis problems and these have worked great for me. First time I've ran without my feet hollering at me at mile 2! There's enough room for orthotics without them fitting too tightly.

Great shoe. I have knee issues (one needs to be replaced). Over the years, I have had different shoes, but since wearing these, my knee has not given out on me - don't get me wrong, I still have knee pain, but a that's not going to go away until the knee is replaced :) It's important to know what type of pronation you have when making your shoe selection. I am a neutral pronator to slight under pronator (supinator) and this is a great shoe. Actually ordering a second pair so I always have a fresh/dry pair.

Best running shoe I have ever had. I am a Hoka Clifton fan. Very light and plenty of cushion with enough stability. My feet never hurt now. Only issue I had is I wear a size six in Asics, NB, Brooks, ordered a 6 and was way to big, this time I ordered a 5.5 and a perfect fit. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes.

Incredibly comfortable shoe with great cushion and stability. The toebox is slightly narrow compared to my other Hokas. I ordered my normal size and it fits well. The shoes are well constructed and the color choices are beautiful. Recommend to any runners, gym rats or walkers.
