I have pure frustration with this brand of shoe. I LOVE the cushioning, and ever so much want these shoes to work, but Hoka One One's fit runs NARROW in the toebox. I DO NOT by any means have a wide foot. I have NEVER bought wide's and always have worn an 8 regular in running shoes. I have a normal, if not narrower foot. Every pair of 8 I try on pinches me on my pinky toe (even the wide toebox Bondie style); just enough to be frustrating. And it is also just ever so slightly short, but tolerable. When I go a half size up, the shoe looks too long, although it feel "ok", and somehow maintains the "pinch" feeling, but not has bad as the 8's. There are only a few styles that have wide widths and then they only offer ONE color in it. Somehow, this brand has fallen into that "grey" area of fit that I can't handle. IT's a great shoe, but Hoka One One needs to re-examine their fitting lasts, because I appear not to be the only one complaining about this.

10th pair's the charm! That's how many pairs of sneakers I've bought in the past year trying to find something to make my cranky feet happy before I finally found this miracle shoe! I have arch, bunion, and ball of foot pain, and since this meta-rocker shoe keeps me more back on my heels my forefoot pain isn't an issue (although I still need to use my insoles with the metatarsal pad) -- I can walk for miles and not feel any pain during or afterward. I also have heel spurs and was afraid this shoe would bother them because the weight falls more on the heels, but I haven't had any heel pain at all with these. I usually wear a wide because of bunions but wide-width shoes tend to look bulky -- I love that these have enough extra space at the forefoot that I can get away with wearing a regular width.

These are the best Hokas, so far - still the great cushioning, but with a sleaker look and feel. These are great for running, walking around, an active day. And they look great.

This shoe has virtually healed my Heel Plantar Fasciitis issue. Within a couple of days, 98% pain free.I bought the flops, too & a pair of hiking & ones that were all terrain. These are the most comfortable though, for everyday use. Thinking on buying a second pair!

I can't say enough good about these. They are like running on air- light and soft but with fantastic support. I wore them for a 6 mi run the first day and have had none of the typical hip/leg/foot soreness that I have had with other shoes. These make running so much more comfortable and now I have my husband daughter and sisters wearing them and they are raving about them too. The new styling of the Clifton 4 is sleek and flattering and has plenty of toe box room.

I first heard about this brand of shoes in a magazine article on trending exercise apparel. I loved the look of the shoe on display. I checked my favorite shoe source Zappo’s, to check out the shoe and what others were saying about them. I liked what I read and ordered a pair. I read that they ran narrow. I have an average size foot in a medium width. But reading the reviews I bought a 1/2 larger and a wide width. The first pair I ordered was in black and they fit really well and so comfortable I started wearing them all during my waking hours. I loved them so much I decided to order a couple more pairs. I ordered a white pair in a 9 1/2 (normally I wear a 9 B) and they only had it in a B width and since the first pair I purchased was just a little wide I opted for the B width. I received them and put them on and fell in love all over again. The width was perfect and the comfort was just as wonderful as the first pair. The other pair I ordered was in blue and ordered in a size 9 1/2 and a wide width. Those I returned and ordered it in a 9 1/2 in a B width. I like my athletic shoes 1/2 size bigger to accommodate swelling of my feet after I have been on them all day. I have had, for a long time, a sciatica problem. Since I have been wearing these shoes my legs have not bothered me. These shoes may not be a fashion statement, but comfort is much more inportant to me at this stage of my life. Since I am retired no one expects me to dress up and these shoes go great with jeans and the comfort they provide me is heavenly.

My feet positively LOVE their pillows! I tried a Hoka a year or so ago - but couldn't get them at that time. They have been top of my list until finally (!) I am the proud Hoka owner. What a difference on my knees as i have begun yet again to run - uh - no - waddle. My marathon days are a dim memory. I noted that some thought the heel area was a bit wide. True but an easy fix with a 1 x 2 inch Dr Scholl's felt stuck in the heel area. I'm not in love with the 'color', but the price was right. I have also challenged my husband to just slip into ONE Hoka while he had his other running shoe on. The jury is out at the moment.

After being an Asics runner for 10+ years, I feeling as if the quality and longevity were becoming sub par. A hard core running friend introduced me to Hoka One One's and I LOVE this brand! I'm usually at 10 in running shoes, but I had to return the 10s and get a 9.5 which were perfect! It's like running on pillows and makes my 47 year old hips and knees very happy!

Bouncy and comfortable! My problem feet demand lots of cushioning, and these runners fit the bill. They're wide, but not loose, and the padding at the tongue and heel feel luxurious. Now I can tromp on my treadmill without pain.

LOVE MY HOKA's !! LOVE ZAPPO's !! I have severe knee issues and on the cusp of full knee replacement surgery. Today, after wearing my Hoka's, if was the first time I've been able to walk my dog at my usual pace pain free in months.

I purchased these shoes last year before going on a trip. My orthopedist's P. A. recommended them because I had a stress fracture and was wearing a boot. I wanted to be able to wear shoes some days, so he suggested these. I ordered from Zappos and received just in time for the trip. They were very comfortable, and I didn't have any trouble walking. I also like the colors--very spiffy.

I rarely write reviews, but the Hoka One Ones have moved me. When I first tried them on, I hated them -- they are super light and don't feel like they have much support. I ran and worked out with them for a couple of weeks and realized that over time they mold to your feet. About three weeks in they were the most supportive and comfortable shoes I'd worn in a long time. Now I'm a true believer. My feet are a little wide -- I don't usually take a wide size, and did not find these uncomfortable in the width, though ymmv.

Best running and walking shoe I’ve ever had. Just started running again and these shoes make all the difference. It’s a pretty tremendous difference. It feels like I’m running on a pillow of marshmallows. I have a narrow foot and high arch and my normal size and the regular width fit just fine. They’re not the most fashionable but I wear them for comfort too. The other day I wore them to the grocery store (a dreaded task) and I was smiling because my feet felt SO GOOD. Highly recommend trying these.

The absolute best shoe for anyone with a foot problem and a high arch. I suffer from plantar fascitis and these shoes make it possible to...walk! Wouldn't know what to do without them.

I am another reviewer with a medical issue instead of a runner. In my case, I have plantar fasciitis. I know two people with the same condition who found Hoka One One shoes life-changing. I’ve only had them a day, and I wouldn’t say it is life-changing, but they do seem to help. I am trying to get rid of the inflammation while I wait for new inserts, and I think these shoes do a good job in absorbing shock and lessening the effect on my feet. Based on the photos and other reviews, I was expecting them to look like an orthotic device, and dreading it. But I would say they’re not much more bulky than old school New Balance sneakers - not the newer cute ones, the bulky ones that dads (and me in high school) would wear. I am not crazy about having to wear these 24/7 (too reminiscent of high school) but they wouldn’t receive a second look at the gym. I think they just look like serious running shoes, which makes sense, because that is what they are. I experience them as having no arch support, but that is probably because these were intended for people with neutral or supinating feet and I tend to pronate and have a very high arch. But I put inserts in them, and it seems to be fine.

I have bought many of these Cliftons and I always wear the 8.5 but they changed the profile and it is slimmer and I had to exchange them for the 9.

These run a half size smaller than the Clifton 3's. Haven't spent much time in the shoe yet but initially I like that there is "less" shoe and a bit smaller toe box (which is why I needed a half size bigger.) My toes can still splay but they don't feel like they are sliding from side to side like they did in the 3's. The sole is smaller around the heel so it feels a bit more like a "normal" shoe which I like. They are still a pretty stiff shoe. I like the cushioning but I am hoping for the 5's they make them a bit more flexible.

These shoes are the most amazing shoes to walk or work out in. I found these a few years ago. I am not a runner. I do jog a couple of miles at a time but mostly I work out and power walk. I work out 4 times a week and these shoes have been awesome. The cushioning and support are outstanding. This is my 4th pair of Hoka's I have tried different versions of Hoka and the Cliftons are great. They are pricey but the cost is worth it for the comfort my knees, feet and hips receive. I even wore them around Disney for 3 days my back thanked me for all the comfort.

Felt very comfortable right out of the box -wide toebox but seem to be a little longer- I rotate my sneakers and after wearing them three months they were already worn and falling apart on the bottom. I walk 5 miles a day so I might’ve worn these three times a week and they did not stand up like the ASICs — considering I spent $130 for them they were not worth it very disappointed

This is Mungovan second pair of Hoka Cliftons and I love them! They are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. I have high arches as well as a sesamoid injury and these are the only shoes that are truly comfortable for me. The toe box on the Clifton is wider than most, and the rocker-type sole provides amazing comfort and cushioning. I ordered a half size down and the fit is perfect.

Everything was EXCELLENT from the quick service to the shoes themselves! I love the color and fit. I have had people stop me and tell me how cool my shoes were! I am on my 2nd pair and have ordered a 3rd to have on hand. These shoes are super comfortable. I have run a couple of hundred miles in them!

Have been wearing these for one month and they are uncomfortable. So soft it's like walking on sand almost. And my feet hurt walking in them. I have a narrow six and a half foot and i've wasted $141.00.

There is no athletic shoe that I love as much as the Hoka One One Clifton. I’ve worn them for years a bout of plantar fasciitis. They weigh virtually nothing, have plenty of room in the toe box and come in a pleathera of color options. I like them for gym cross training, everyday walking, travel, etc.
