Ive traveled with this pack across the states and it definitely worked out well. Convenient to access all my goodies, cords, chargers, tablet, journal all pretty easy to grab. It is an upgrade from my brief case, the back pack straps are comfy and neat when wearing the pack. No flappy ends, wide strap yoke, plenty of air flow across the back.
I did a custom order and the pack is as I expected based on the website depiction.
Ordering was okay. I missed an addition, I messaged the next day and they had no ability to add the change order. They only option was to cancel the whole thing and start over.
Check out required me to use the shop app which really confused me on shipping. When I asked about a work around I got the classic non answer of "if you dont see anything in 30 days, let us know."
The quality is worth it, and arrived as quoted. Placing the order felt kinda like a message in a bottle experience. Throw it out there and hope for the best, you are on your own.
I would buy again, hoping to not make any errors, you only got one shot!

Love the idea of able to customise so that my bag could be the unique one rather than crashing it with someone else. However, I don't like the backing of the bag as compared to the standard off the shelf ones. Those standard has a softer backing making it more comfortable to carry it and also easier to slip on the rail of the carryon luggage.

Love the product for the most part. A few things that would make it 5 stars though would be to have the compression straps not interfere with the zipping of the main compartment. I'd also like to see some sort of padded bottom for the laptop compartment. Everything else I've loved and been using it everyday and for travel as well.

Good bag. Only negative is the outer pocket doesn't open wide enough to make it easily accessible.

This is a great backpack for DAILY use. Computer compartment is convenient and other pockets keep stuff organized. I was hoping it was going to be a bit bigger to be an handle a change of clothes for overnight trips but alas it's a tight squeeze that another 3/4 -1.25 inches width could probably make it work.

I use this backpack to carry my laptop and iPad to work everyday. I love all the pockets that it has for organization. I also love that the water bottle pocket is tall because my old backpack had a small pocket and my water bottle would fall out all the time. The backpack is very comfortable and has a lot of space.

I use this to pack up all my work stuff and shuttle it between the house and the office. Because of covid that's only 1-2 times per week right now, so it's possible that I just haven't used the bag enough yet to be aware of other pros and cons.
But here are the pros I know: the organization of the main pocket is great, plenty of spots for cords/phone/etc., room for a notepad, a little zipped compartment for change or other small objects. The bag is comfortable and light, and stands up on its own (instead of collapsing into an amorphous mass if the laptop isn't in there). It also looks nice and streamlined, so I feel like an adult instead of like I'm on the Magic School Bus.
The cons: I don't love the material - it feels a little plastic - but I'm guessing that will help with water resistance. A bigger issue, and one that other reviewers have mentioned, is the pocket on the very front, which is very irritating to access due to the lip over it. Again, this might help keep water out of the bag, but I can only put very low-frequency things in there because my hand (which is SMALL!) has trouble dealing with it, even unzipping it is a pain. Also, the "water bottle" holder on the side of the bag is maybe fine for very thin bottles, but I use a nalgene and the pocket is nowhere near big enough to hold it. There's also no room inside the bag, but that's not unexpected. I use the water bottle holder for an umbrella instead.

I can fit my MSI 15.6" workstation in the padded laptop pocket , plus a 15.6" dell precision AND iPad pro (in the little sleeve in the main compartment) in the bigger main pocket with room to spare. The bag doesn't sag with all this weight, the straps stay comfortable. Good padding everywhere. Love the look, love the customization, love the materials, love the customer service.
Only reason this bag isn't 5 stars is the stitching on the front is a little wonky. Not anything that would affect the usability of this wonderful bag, just an aesthetic thing.

Love the backpack, great color and design, looks professional for business trips, it has a few design flaws: the chest strap is way to high, around my neck, kind of hard to get to the front pocket and there is no sleeve for my carry on luggage

I use this back pack every day for work. The quality of the bag is very good and am especially impressed with the quality of the handle on top of the back pack. I like the design and slim look of the bag. My only criticism would be the front pocket, it is a little too tight for my hand to reach in comfortably.

I bought my bf the Authority bag for his birthday. He loved it, so I decided to get a timbuk2 for myself. I carry my laptop (13" macbook pro), notebook, folder, lunch, water bottle, and book each day. I'm very happy with the quality of this bag. One thing I would suggest, is it is almost impossible to tell the difference between the different fabrics (asides from the colors) on the website. I compared the fabrics to my bf bag, but otherwise I would not have been able to tell the texture/water resistance of any of the fabrics online. Pros: I chose this bag over others because I has all the features I was looking for, seemed big enough to fit all my stuff, but still looked relatively sleek. I love the trolley sleeve and wanted a water bottle pocket (it doesn't fit my Nalgene, but I can clip it to the side with one of the buckles. The lap top sleeve is very padded, as well as the back panel and straps. It's very comfortable to wear. The front panel of my bag is the canvas material because it is the only fabric that came in white and I was worried about water-resistance, but I wore it in the pouring rain last week and my stuff was fine. I may spray it with water proofing in the future. Cons: The buckles are kind of annoying since they block you from unzipping the bag all the way. They should be attached on the other side of the zipper in my opinion. The bag seems too tall, and not deep enough (from front to back). I don't carry that much stuff, and I struggle to get it all to fit. The annoying part, is there's plenty of room on top of my stuff. It seems this space should be allocated to make the bag half an inch deeper. Since it's packed tightly, this makes getting things out of the front pocket difficult. I wish there were a smaller outside pocket to put my wallet. I either need to dig it out of the front pocket (hard to do) or upzip two zippers if it's in the inside pocket. Another note, the front pockets share the same space, so it's hard if both have things inside.

This backpack was exactly what I expected it to be. I bought it because I wanted a small backpack that would fit my laptop and a couple textbooks and meet all my other random stuff organized.

I use this for college. So far it has been great because I am trying to carry less stuff around campus. The only downside to the bag is that it has not side/hidden/ easy-to-access pockets to carry my wallet or student card in. It is on the smaller side but that is what I was looking for. It also looks very good, compact, and high-quality. The buckles are hard and not some cheap plastic. I have only had it for about two weeks now but so far, it has been great.

As a small commuter pack this is a good choice. The roomy internal compartment comfortably holds my lunch box, a book, and a thin jacket. The laptop sleeve is too tight for my chunky old work laptop but it fits modern ones like my 13" MBP just fine. I also really dig the material, it feels like it will hold up nicely in the rain and wear-in a bit like waxed canvas.
There are a few annoyances, though. The front pocket zipper has a pronounced lip over it, which makes it very difficult to actually open and use the pocket itself. I don't see myself using it very often. And while the metal clips for the cinch-down mechanism are nice, if left unbuckled one of them will clink against the plastic zip pull of the front pocket and that gets really irritating. Also I immediately removed the sternum strap because it rides far too high for my taste; a pack this small doesn't really need it in my opinion.
Overall it's a nice pack and seems well-constructed, but it's a shame the front pocket isn't more useful. Nonetheless, it fits my stuff and is a good form-factor for riding the bus so I'm happy with it.

This is a great backpack, been using it for about two weeks. Quality is there. But the straps barely fit. I am larger than average. I wear a 42 long jacket, if that helps, and the pack rides pretty high on my back. The strap across the chest is level with my neck.. had to take it off entirely. If I was any larger I'd have to return it. But the straps are wide and comfortable to make up for their shortness, and I can bike to the office comfortably.

First, I really like the overall design, form, and most of the details. Except:
1) Cross chest connector between straps is way high. Choking high. Why?
2) The front zip compartment is really hard to get into. I think it's because of the rain flashing over the zipper and the inclination to keep the look taut. So maybe not solvable. But I think you could introduce a pleat and an elastic element.
That's it. I'll probably get another someday.

So far I love this bag! It's smaller than my previous backpack but packs a huge punch. I'm 6'1 and the pack hangs out on the upper portion of my torso, which felt weird at first as I wasn't used to it, but that's not a negative criticism by any means. The material is durable and rugged while maintaining a nice, classy appearance. I love that the laptop compartment is nice and tight so things don't slide around. The main compartment is a perfect size in my opinion; it holds everything I need it to but is efficient and compact. I am able to fit several books, a Macbook charger with extension, and a sweater with some room to spare. The front-facing outside pocket is great as a sort of miscellaneous compartment for things like wallets, keys, USB/Thunderbolt cables. A perfect place for when you just need to quickly throw something and forget about it. And I love that this pocket has a key hook so I don't have to spend 5 min trying to find my car key fob at the bottom of my bag. The straps are incredibly comfortable and there is ample padding. I was telling a friend that the backpack feels so good when you wear it that I don't want to take it off. My only complaint is that the pockets in the main compartment are too deep. I will place an item in them and can't reach it because it goes so far down. I also forget about things I put in there because I can't see them. I would rather have smaller pockets and be able to organize things properly than more real estate and never want to put things in there for fear of being lost. That's the only reason I give this 4 stars, and I truly love everything else about the pack!

It's a great pack that runs a bit smaller than other backpacks I have tried. It is more spacious than it appears though, and can fit a decent amount. Overall though the bag is quite tight. The water bottle side pocket struggles to accept standard bottle sizes, and the outermost pocket is rather slim as well. There's a flap over the zipper to protect against water intrusion that also results in you having to do some maneuvering to get inside that pocket.
All in all though it's a well made and comfortable bag for daily use.

good backpack and will serve my purpose. not too big, not too small; the color is awesome. only complaint is the straps, not very comfortable if you're a big guy. i'm 6'3 and can barely get my arms in. if you"re a Keebler Elf it'll fit perfect. i use it as my work station from the road, so i typically carry by handle and keep in truck so not a big deal

This Back Pack is awesome. What a great value! I love the easy access for my laptop and the buckles on the side that I use to secure my light jacket when days are warmer than predicted. It fits every thing I need to bring to work on a daily basis.

Love the structure and how minimal this backpack is, it's a perfect size for those who are petite! This pack is great for those who carry a light/small amount of items. However, when it does get overstuffed, it's very difficult to zip up and hard to reach for items in the front pocket. I also wish the water bottle pocket was a little bigger. Other than that, the bag is very high quality and comfortable!

This bag has some really stylish finishes. I also think it is the perfect size bag, as it is on the smaller side. It has plenty of pockets and storage, which often can be issues with smaller bags.

I really like this bag. First of all it is small and compact, but it has plenty of pockets for storage. There are very nice finishes, which make look expensive and clean. I love the size of the pack, and compared to other small bags, this has plenty of pockets and storage.
