Great shoe. Nice looking. Very comfortable. BUT IT SQUEAKS WHEN I WALK! I'm taking them back to the store. Everyone was laughing at me at work when I would walk by. Embarrassing.

I bought these last year as I always buy Merrill's. Wore them in spring of this year wore them until sandal season came on, they squeaked a little. Put them on first time this fall and YOWZA everyone knows I'm coming down the halll! I work in a doctors office so comfort is very important. I will be calling customer service for a new pair or my money back!

I have worn these shoes for well over ten years. In the last couple of years the soles seems a lot harder and not as slip resistant as in the past. I have taken a couple of mean slides and, with regret, no longer wear them. I am very sad about this and wish Merrell would improve the quality of its soles so they are slip resistant. Thank you

I'm upset. I've been wearing the Encore Slide for at least 20 years. It is so comfortable and my most favorite shoe. I ordered the same size I usually wear, 6.5 Medium, but it is now more narrow across the forefoot and a bit shorter in length. So I exchanged it for a half size larger, but it was way too large. In desperation I ordered the 6.5 Wide. It fits across the forefoot. I compared it to my older medium width shoe and the width of the sole is about the same, but the top part of the shoe toward where you slip in your foot is much higher & bigger. The wide width is too loose above my arch and is flopping on and off. I give up and am sending it back. I am so disappointed that Merrell has changed the design and my favorite shoe no longer exists.

I used to buy a pair of the Encore in black every year. I don't understand why they had to ruin a great shoe with their redesign. Don't want a two tone shoe or one that isn't as comfortable as the Encore was before. Will look for a different shoe elsewhere!

They are not made like in the past. I have been wearing these for 20 years and these did not fit in any way. They were wider and the top was cut way too high, it did not fit my foot at all. I returned them, but I have not received my credit yet.

I rarely write reviews but this shoe has been such a disappointment that I must. I loved the prior version, I think called the Encore. I have bad feet with a high arch and also need a wide toe box. I called or chatted with product support and was told that the Q2 was the updated version. Whatever they did to the updated version is awful for my feet. It is too big. I bought the same size I have been wearing in the prior version but the Q2 flops and slips. It also actually hurts my feet. You can't tell this with just a few minutes walking on carpet so I wore it for a few hours until my feet started aching so much I had to take them off. I have tried all manner of things to get them not to hurt my feet. I have worn thicker socks, used my prescription orthotics (not needed in the prior version). Now I have two problems. I am stuck with a pair of not inexpensive shoes that I can't wear. And, when my current pair of the prior version finally wears out completely, I don't know what I will buy. I am reluctant to try a smaller size of this updated version. Stores rarely carry the wide toe.

Thought I would try a shoe w/o a backing, It was not comfortable, didn't stay on my foot, felt too big. I returned the item .

I have worn Merrell shoes for years & love them. This shoe is not cut like others. The back of this shoe is to short & is very uncomfortable. My foot slids out so I am returning it. You need to return to your older designs.

After making several purchases of the size 6, I found the same problem with the right shoe.

This is not what I expected and I am deeply disappointed. For many years I have been wearing the Merrell Encore Nova 2 with great success. Unfortunately Merrell is not selling them this year. So I bought this shoe and am not able to walk in it. The sole is so hard that it made my feet ache after an hour or so of wearing it inside. I have returned the shoes to Merrell. Merrell please bring back the Merrell Encore Nova 2.

I have had this shoe for one week. they squeak when walking and have already broken down to the point of unwearable. I have worn this type of slide from merrell for about 15 years and this pair is in worse shape than some I have had for over 5 years.
