I am so thankful for these Merrill 'slides'. I can insert my orthotics. They give me the support and 'cushioning' that I need for low back problems. I can walk for miles in them! And I like and need the low heels.

I loved my Merrell Nova 2, and I wore them until the insides started coming apart and the soles started wearing away. I kept polishing them so they looked good. I also have the Merrell Chill (the slide with the fuzzy interior) and one of the other Merrell clogs.
But when trying to replace the Novas, I found that they are discontinued. The Encore Q2 fits the same, but I could not get myself to like the styling change in the sides. They didn't look like the styling I wanted.
So I ordered the Keen Kaci after seeing them on Zappos. They do what I wanted.

These shoes are needless to say not the most attractive shoes, but being on my feet all day these shoes really help keep my Morton's Neuroma pain under control. I'd buy them again!

These are great. I was heartbroken when I learned the Merrell Nova 2 was no longer being made - I've worn them for years. But these are very similar and do just I what I need.

These rubbed against the side of my foot behind the arch -- a really unusual place to rub. My foot is wide but the front of the shoe was great. I've had Merrell in the past and loved the shoe.

I am exchanging this shoe to a 1/2 size smaller shoe. I love Merrill Shoes (only ones I can comfortably wear due to plantar fasciitis). However, this particular shoe runs so large that wearing a pair of thick socks doesn't solve the problem. I need the wide width which seems to be ok, but the length of the shoe is too long in back of the heel.

Returning. The fit was great in all the usual places except the heel. With every step I took, the shoe came off my heel. Had this been a true mule with no back, that would be okay, but the back of the shoe is about one inch high, so I know the constant rubbing on my heel would be very annoying and perhaps cause a blister or callous.

The shoes are well-made for this price-range. The European sizing is really only whole American sizing, so if you need a half-size, order a Euro size down: a 37 is a USA 7, a 38 is an 8. Shoes also have a burnt oil odor, which seems to get better if left in the open air.

I'd been purchasing Merrell for years, but several years ago the comfort started to flag ... the sole didn't feel a cushy so they weren't as comfortable. This show is ok, but the top comes up just a little further and after wearing for a while begins to bother the top of my foot. I actually too the insteps out and just put them in my older "Nova" model (which I gather is discontinued, but was the most comfortable).

I ordered these shoes last July, knowing that I wouldn't wear them until Fall and Winter, because the style was exactly what I was looking for and I own many pairs of Merrills that I love. Now that I am wearing them, I'm so disappointed. The right shoe squeaks very loudly!! It's embarrassing! I assume I can't return them because I don't have the packaging and it has been six months. I was hoping that the squeaking would disappear after a few wearings, but that hasn't happened :(

I find this to be a very comfortable shoe that stays on well for a slide-on. However, upon wearing for a few hours, the shoes began to squeak; maybe more like a croak, with each step. Very annoying. I have had the same thing happen with other manufacturers, so maybe it has something to do with the leather? the construction?

This is the second Merrill Slide I have purchased in a week. I returned the first one because they were much too narrow, and now again with this pair. Merrills used to be wider. Not sure what is happening.

I have ordered this shoe several times in the past and worn them until they finally died. However, this time there is an issue with the sole squeaking with every step. Both shoes were squeaking so I figured I got a defective pair. I ordered a second pair and one shoe is squeaking. I have to return my go to shoe.

I love wearing Merrells, but these weren't a good match for me. They have a very low arch and the rest of shoe bed is essentially flat. With a mule, I prefer to have more support to offset the open back.

I buy at least 2 pairs of Merrell Encores each year, & have been wearing them year-round forever. I'm *totally* disappointed by the redesign. The top now has an extra piece of leather on each side, which seems to make the vertical distance from sole to top of foot higher. My foot now sloshes around in the same size that used to be a perfect fit, yet anything else would be too short. The toe box is also more square, & is now actually wider than on my running shoes. The extra leather pieces turn it into an ugly, clunky loafer in front. I hate to give up on Encores, but am returning mine until they're redesigned. Only positive is that quality appears good, as usual. *Merrell, tried-&-true is not a bad thing. Go back to what works!*

I have had the Merrell Encore Groove clogs, size 7.5M, for several years, absolutely love them, and thought I would get a new pair. These looked like the closest to the Grooves. Because of reviews I read that said these run small, I ordered these in both 7.5 and 8. The 7.5 was the right size. BUT, the arch was not in the right place and the shoes felt narrower than the Grooves. Also, I prefer the flatter heel of the Grooves. I am returning both pair.
