The Encore Ice shoes I've bought in the past were 100% sheepskin shearling lining. Since some styles describe faux fur lining, I was happy to see that these said 'shearling' lining. I didn't mind paying for the the real thing. When I got them, the label inside said they are only 60% shearling and 40% polyester. They're not close to feeling as thick and luxurious as my old pair. I'm returning them.

This was NOT what I expected of this product. These are very expensive bedroom slippers. Very, very lightweight. I was going to use them in a harsh winter to walk the dog. I would never have trusted them for that. Secondly, and importantly, I couldn't get my foot into them with a sock on. 99 times out of 100 I can reliably order a size 8. These were TIGHT! They are going back .

I had a fantastic pair of the Merrell Encore for years that lasted and lasted. I bought a new pair with the Falcon color this past November and they are completely falling apart inside. The lining is practically gone and I can actually feel the treads of the underside of the shoe as I walk and am actually getting blisters from that rubbing on the underlying treads - particularly on the right shoe but both shoes inside are a mess. And this is after just a few months. My older Merrells after probably 8 years are in better shape than these new ones. I am sorely disappointed.

I didn't realize there was a difference between the Women's Encore shoes. The Encore Q2 Ice are narrower than the Encore Ice. I will have to return the Encore Ice Q2 as they are too small. I am hoping to purchase the Encore Ice but my size is not available at this time. Maybe next year. I now know what to look for Encore Ice.

Wanted to buy another pair as I have an older pair, well no luck the new ones are made of Faux sheerling which means plastic!!!! As disappointed as could be!

I have a pair of Encore Q2, would love a pair of these. Wish they came in wide widths.

These have always been my favorite shoes for winter but they are not sized the same. It would also be nice if Merrell produced a wide width for women.

Lining defective.

I have 3 pairs of Encore Ice. Two of them were made with pure shearling lining and are still in fantastic shape - they just look well-loved. I bought the 3rd pair so I could have a newer looking pair of shoes. The most recent pair I purchased still said "shearling" as the lining; now it says "faux". I know that this newer pair is indeed NOT shearling because after only a few months of wear, the shoe STINKS like foot odor. I never, ever, ever have foot odor issues when wearing shoes that are truly made of natural materials and fibers. Too, the left sole of these newer pair are breaking down and collapsing. There is a good 1/2 inch difference in height between the outer and inner footbed of my left shoe - not good for knees, hips and backs!! My foot naturally turns in (I was born flat-footed) and all my Merrell have provided consistent support and solid soles that just do not wear out - not these. I used to love Encore Ice; based on this most recent pair, I do not any longer. It's sad and disappointing and shakes my trust in Merrell.
