This is a beautiful shoe. It's very narrow. I always had more of a narrow foot, until I got into my 60s and I believe my feet are spreading out a bit and losing the cushion on the bottom of the feet, hence looking for a shoe with excellent cushion. These fit the bill for cushion and for excellent arch support. I believe they would be excellent for walking on anything slippery, also. I have not decided whether I will keep them or not. They are so tight, that there's no way I could wear a sock. I'm just concerned what will they feel like when my feet get swollen, as they tend to do sometimes. So, I need to wear them around the house more before I decide. Merrell does not offer a wide in this shoe, unfortunately.

So disappointing. Merrill use to be the shoe I could count on for good arch support. They must have sold-out to another owner. Their name is no longer synonymous with quality.

This is about the Andorra color, not so much the shoes themselves - which seem very cozy like other generations of this style. The color in the photography appears (at least on my 3 different monitors) to be a deep rusty red. In reality, it's more of a faded mulberry or mauve(?). Not at all what I was expecting, which wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker, but the actual color doesn't appeal to me at all...

I bought these for house slippers as recommended by my podiatrist for plantar fasciitis. They were comfortable right out of the box, having replaced the fleece liner with Powerstep insoles. I could also use my orthotics if I wanted to. They offer so much support for long days in the kitchen. They are so comfortable that I just ordered a pair in black leather for work!

I have worn this style of Merrill shoe for years. This is my 4th pair. Even happier with this pair as size 10.5 available....Previously wore size 10 that did the trick but wished for 10.5 to wear with heavier socks when conditions warranted. They feel great, support my foot fine and look as durable as previous pairs. Thanks Merrell ....keep those 10.5s in stock.

I wanted these shoes last year...but they were sold out. I was determined not to miss them this year...so it's August..and I ordered...can hardly wait for winter! I usually wear a 9..but because of the fuzzy inside, I ordered a 1/2 size up...they fit perfect...and I could wear socks, if I wish. They will probably be my go-to shoes, because I can just slip into them - even though I have a zillion boots! From a shoe-aholic!!

If you are reading this, then you've checked this Merrell Encore out and are wondering if they are worth the price. My answer is absolutely YES. I have had another Merrell Encore Ice that I have worn for 10 years or more. I then went to Ugg slippers and swore my allegiance to those slippers for several years. This year, I wanted a more robust sole for getting the newspaper and taking the dog outside for a brief walk I ordered these shoes and could not be more pleased. They have an arch that is truly the deal-maker, as well as soft, insulating sheep fleece. Great toe-box room, with more of the foot covered by the mule-type shoe. I think these are on sale now and I almost want to buy a second pair. I wear a 9M in almost all shoes. 9M in this Merrell fits me perfectly. Try it!

i HAVE NO RUGS ON MY HARDWOOD FLOORS AND I CAN WEAR THESE SHOES WITHOUT SOCKS WHEN IT'S LITERALLY FREEZING OUTSIDE. THESE ARE PERFECT SLIPPERS FOR THOSE OF US WHO NEED GOOD ARCH SUPPORT AROUND THE HOUSE. THEY ARE WORTH THE PRICE!

I bought these shoes once before and wore them until they fell apart! I use them as house shoes in the winter and love, love,love them. I have a high arch and narrow feet and all the problems that go with them so arch support is very important to me. These shoes provide good support but I could use an orthotic if needed. I usually wear an 8 half but the 9 is perfect size. Stays on foot. Doesn’t flop around and you don’t walk out of them either. The inside is soft and fuzzy which is great on cold days with no socks. I never wear socks with them. Not needed. Good for indoor or outdoor if you are running to the store in jeans and a sweater and don’t want to change shoes. They can handle weather and don’t look like “slippers.” Yes, they are a bit clunky with your p.j.s but comfort and zero foot problems = happy!

These have been a go-to Merrell style for me for more than 12 years... Unfortunately, that's not so much the case any more. With the past several seasons' updates, the style seems to have grown more inconsistent: fit and size vary a lot even within a given shoe size. This example: I knew I was between two sizes so ordered both (10.5 & 11). I also ordered 11 from another source. The 10.5s were too small - not surprising. Of these, one pair felt much shorter than the other. The size 11 I received from Zappos felt super narrow; I really had to push to get my foot inside (without socks). The "other" size 11 was relatively huge in comparison - very roomy - it feels like a completely different size/style. I'm not sure I'll keep the "other" 11 because they may be too big, but I'm returning the Zappos pair because they're so tight and unwearable. I love Merrell shoes/quality/support when I can find a pair/size/style that fits. Unfortunately, the consistent inconsistency can make that a challenge. Thanks, Zappos, for taking some of the frustration out of the equation.

I hadn't worn clogs in years, but I got these on a whim. They're terrrific! In response to the reviewer who expected a rusty red clog and found the color was more mulberry, I wish the color were LESS rusty and More mulberry. Still, my experience was AAA++++. Extremely comfortable and warm. My cats like to sleep on them.

Merrell clogs used to be my go-to favorite, although I haven't purchased a new pair in awhile. Sadly, I am very disappointed. While they are comfortable, I feel the gray rubber heel looks very cheap. But the primary reason I'm returning is due to the overwhelmingly strong chemical smell. At first I thought it was due to the packaging and shape holding insert, so I tried letting the clogs sit out for a week, hoping the smell would dissipate. It did not - the smell is too strong for me to want to wear these shoes. Thanks Zappos for a great return policy!

I love these shoes! I have them in 3 different colors. They are a great fit and comfortable. After while the fluff with wear down, but just fits a little looser by then. I use one pair for indoor house slippers on wood and tile floors. Super comfortable and warm.

These are very comfortable and perfect for a narrow foot. I realized that after wearing them for a full day the 10N seems to run a bit short, so I would recommend ordering up a half size.

I always order a size up in Merrell when I am planning on being able to use heavy winter socks. This was perfect a half size up.

These are my indoor slippers that I wear for hours every day. They are VERY comfortable! Not very attractive, though, but doesn't matter in this case.

Very comfy and warm. Like the easy on/off style. I ordered the Andorra color. More muted in person, a beautiful rusty wine, more neutral than I expected. Runs slightly small to me. I went with a half sz. bigger than usual and they’re fine w/sox.

These are SO comfortable! I now have them in 3 colors and wear them all the time, inside the house (because they're as comfortable as slippers) and also as casual shoes out. I find that the plush lining is comfortable to wear with bare feet, but sort of mashes down to accommodate socks as well. My foot is narrow, but I wonder whether the plush wouldn't conform to wider feet as well.

I had a pair of these in the past, but they were too small. That was a size 8.5. I decided to give them another try, so ordered a 9.5. Therefore, it was disappointing that the 9.5 were no wider than the 8.5, just longer (which meant too long). I have wide feet plus a bunion, so need a roomy toe box. These do not offer that for wide feet. The arch support is also disappointing (ever since I discovered Oofos shoes, I have been spoiled by Oofos amazing arch support). So these shoes are going back. To sum it up: if you have wide feet, bunions or other foot issues that require good support, these will not fit the bill.

I settled on these after trying multiple pairs of house shoes. They fit well and keep the feet warm.

Right out of the box, these shoes are so comfy. I prefer shoes with a generous toe bed; these are a perfect fit. These are just what I wanted for chilly winter days. I love the gray color and that the soles aren't so thick. Dansko clogs are comfy, but they make me feel awkwardly tall. All winter shoes should have a soft faux-fur lining like these so your feet can snuggle!

Love these shoes! This is my 6th or 7th pair. I’ve had black, brown and grey - all great colors. I wear them indoors year round and I wear my black ones outside in the winter. The support is great!

Bought these for our daughter as a slipper she could wear outside. She absolutely loves them. Warmth and comfort all in one.

I initially ordered the color falcon since I thought it would be grey; however, it is blue. I returned them for the color stone which is brown. Since I can use brown I am keeping them. They run a tad bit larger than Danskos but since they come in half sizes, that was not a problem. They are warm and comfortable.
