A super comfortable minimal shoe. It seems to be made very well with good quality materials. I’m interested how well the laces will hold up and if Merrell sells replacements. Size it me exactly as it should.

Bought these to replace my first generation Trail Gloves. So far great. They really fit well. My feet aren't wide enough for the wide sizes in most shoes, but I need some extra spread in the toe box and these are great. I expect they will hold up as well as the last, but only time will tell.

These shoes are super comfortable, light weight and durable. I also dig the vegan construction. Merrell knocked it out of the park with these shoes.

More arch support than other barefoot-style shoes I have used, but it is still close enough to a barefoot-style shoe to be good to use for t'ai chi and martial arts. As a comparison, the size 14 in the Trail Glove 4 is smaller and, in my opinion, more true to a standard size 14 than the size 14 in the Vapor Glove 3, which has less arch support and is more of a typical barefoot-style running shoe.

Had to order down 1/2 size. Not a true “glove”, but has great protection for bottom of foot while remaining lightweight. Don’t like the styling - a bit garish for my taste, but the shoe is truly comfortable. I put elastic no-tie laces on for speed and comfort. They should come that way. My favorite shoe right now.

Normally take a 10, 9.5 worked perfectly. I must wear a light weight shoe due to partial paralysis on my left side. These were better for me than the vapor glove 3, although they don’t breathe as well. The big difference is that these aren’t really minimalist shoes. They’re not Nike, but they don’t nearly have the feel of the ground like the VG does.
The trade off is better support and less chance of hurting your foot on something pointy. For me, this shoe was better than anything else I tried.

The Trail Glove is a minimalist trail running shoe that, according to reviews, is among the best out there. I compared this to the New Balance Minimus 10v1 and a Xero Prio.
Like most other minimalist and barefoot running shoes, the Trail Glove provides no arch support. And that's a good thing. It provides minimal padding on the sole. Also a good thing.
I have wide (11EE) feet, so I ordered a size 12. The fit is snug, but not too tight. There does seem to be a bit of padding in the sole, but not enough to be a problem. The uppers appear to be good quality, and they're reasonably attractive.
Like the Minimus, the Trail Glove has a Vibram sole. I actually liked the feel of the Minimus sole better than the Trail Glove, but the uppers on the Minimus didn't seem well constructed, and the shoe was just too tight. The Prio, on the other hand, was just too wide. My foot slid around inside, so it just didn't feel right.
So for me, the Trail Glove won. I'm just getting over knee surgery, and decided to go with "barefoot" style shoes. Hopefully these will work well.

The TG4. All right. If you are not a user (addict) to the TG2/3, it's kinda hard to understand anything that is written here. I have not found any shoe quite like it. It is truly a category of it's own. If you have loved these, here goes. The TG4 is very ambitious. It works well for me. It is not nearly as thin on the bottom as the the 2 or even the 3. It has a sole. And some "curves" in that sole. They work very well for me. I have a large (usually I require a 15w or 16r in athletic shoes). And this shoe is absolutely perfect in size 15. In TG3 I have been pushing the room. A little. This shoe is absolutely fabulous and I applaud Merrell for taking some chances here. I think they should continue on this road, but simply re-issue the TG2 as some new model. I bought 4 pairs and they have all worn out. And I can't find left over 15's on the internet. But I digress. The TG4 is simply wonderful. For people new to the Merrell "barefoot" concept, it will seem very cool.

I owned the first edition Trail Glove, wore them for over 4 years until they were just trashed. I don't do trail running, I wear them for woodland walks and hiking.
I normally wear a US men's 8.5, and these in an 8 fit well barefoot or with light socks.
The new tongue construction is absurdly comfortable, and the color scheme in grey/ tan/ orange is interesting without being loud and overly sporty.
They arrived on a Tuesday, I wore them around the house for a few hours, and went on a strenuous hike the next day. No blisters, no uncomfortable rubbing, they're ready to go right out of the box with no wear-in period.

There are no rough spots on the inside so I can truly wear them without socks, AND be comfortable walking and doing stuff for an entire day. Truly amazing. There's some nice ventilation in the front part of the shoe. They run a half size large at least. I wear an 11 in all sneakers but I went down to a 10 in these, in part because no socks, and in part because the squared-off toe gives me room to wiggle without extra length.

Excellent barefoot trail runner. This has more cushion and support than any minimalist trail runner out there. It conforms perfectly without seams, edges, or a bulky tongue. Even with the Vibram sole and aggressive lugs, it is very responsive. The tongue design is fabulous. It stays put and is not noticeable...it feels sock-like. The laces stay tied well. No break-in period because these shoes fit more like a glove, but with a Vibram sole!

Comfortable and good looking minimalist running shoe. More protective than your bare foot, but gravel will dig in. Not hard-wearing.

Fit is slightly larger, but not too prominent. The shoe still fits well and provides the needed protection from the pavement/trail surface while giving adequate feedback for a barefoot feel.

These shoes are like a minimalist version of the old Chameleons. They are very comfortable for wearing around as well as walks, runs, etc. my only complaint is that the fabric is starting to wear out after only a few months. I wish Merrell used stronger materials.

I love the style and comfort, they were tight when I first put them on but seemed to stretch and after a day they fit like a glove. Am thinking of buying another pair.

Awesome upgrade except for the heel. Couldn’t for the life of me, get it to lock down. Not sure why, but I’m not the only one. Once these sell out, I hear they will not make them any longer. Check out the knit version for the “fixed” version.
Nice wide toe area and not much arch support at all. Perfecto!

Not enough toe depth for my big toes. Loved the look and the fit was great except for the toe room. Very lightweight with a minimal sole that still gives some protection.

These don't breathe quite as much as the Vapor Gloves and these have more arch support, so these don't feel quite as comfortable, but since the if you do trails on a regular basis or just prefer more arch support, these are probably more ideal for you than they are for me??

The outer material tore in multiple places pretty quickly. Also the laces continually get twisted up for some reason. Other than that they were pretty good.
