Fits a little smaller than one might think, but I like that. I am 6'2", 195lb, weight lift regularly and the Large size fit perfect. It is a slimmer fit for under other layers, but not constricting.

This is the perfect mid-weight mid layer. Very breathable, even while putting in work.

This thing as a light insulator for climbing and skiing. I've used it extensively to belay, climb, skin, and ski in. As long as it's paired with the right conditions, it keeps you super warm, sheds the wind, and breathes exceptionally well. I wish the pockets would zip as they're essentially unusable if you're climbing or skiing.

I am really impressed with this jacket. I have only had it for a few months, but I have had a few chances to test it out, and it as performed very well. When the jacket arrived, it felt lighter and thinner than I expected, and I doubted that it would be warm enough in cold temps. It stands up surprising well: 1. Shoveling snow in ~10 deg F. Warm enough, and even when working hard, I never felt sweaty. 2. Running in 0-5 deg F. Warm when starting out, and dry as I warmed up. 3. Multi-day February backcountry trip in the BWCA. Temps ranged from ~15 deg F to -15 deg F. I put the jacket on for my snowshoe in, pulling my gear sled, and I didn't take it off until I was done unloading the Subaru at home. I wore it over a mid-weight wool base layer, and I never felt sweaty the entire trip. Nordic skiing in about 5 deg F with ~10 - 15 mph wind was great. At the top end, some wind was penetrating the jacket, but it was cool, not freezing the skin. With low wind at that temp, it was super comfortable. I slept in it in my 0 deg bag too. It was obviously not comfortable when not active at around 0 deg F, so I threw my down jacket on top of it. I am about 5'9" and 150lb. The medium is a comfortable and trim fit, with good sleeve and waist length. The hood fits well too. This jacket changes my strategy for high effort approaches. In the past, I would have gone with a shell or soft shell over a mid-weight base layer, and I would have sweated, but vented it. With this jacket, I don't really sweat, and can still open it up for more cooling.

The only bad thing to say about it is that it runs a little small.

This hoody has an amazing way of helping maintain a constant perfect body tempature. Weather chasing white water in a kayak, dirt on a mountain bike, or snow on skis, this jacket, worn by itself, or as a mid layer, keeps wind rain and cold out. All while managing moisture effortlessly, and Transitioning between each sport. Not to mention is a killer look in the downtown scene post charging.

Love this jacket, wicks water, provides excellent wind resistance, very warm for how low of loft it is. I used this thing in Maine over xmas, single digits (farenheit) the whole time. It kept me incredibly warm while only wearing this item. I loved it so much I bought a second one!

Warm the moment you put it on. This hybrid hoody is great! Unlike most puffs that take a while to warm up the fleece lining makes this jacket warm from the moment you put it on. Great fit and it stretches with your body's natural movement from scaling a rock face to lifting groceries into your truck.

Way warmer than I was expecting considering the lightweight build. Fantastic hoody. Fits my long armed monkey body just fine.

This is my go to piece for heading out in the PNW. Great for a mid layer when it is cold and rainy, as an outer when skinning up the skin track, and for around town when it's wet and gloomy out.

Where has this jacket been all my life? I took this on a recent ice trip to the whites and it really blew me away. I tend to run pretty warm so being able to dump heat is key for me. The ascendant dumps heat when I need it to but still keeps me warm when I belay up my follower. I also use it for bike commuting during cold snaps. The flex and articulation of the jacket is perfect for those active in the outdoors. I'm looking forward to testing it backcountry skiing in the Cascades in a couple of weeks. Fit - I am 5'9, 185lbs, 42 chest and the large was the way to go. I initially bought the medium but had to replace with the large as this is a trim fit and I am usually between OR sizes. The large gives me enough room to layer the echo hoody and whirlwind hoody underneath without feeling like staypuff the marshmallow man.

This layer won't replace your down layer but once you start moving it is fantastic! The jacket is as warm as I expected but lighter lighter than I expected. I've used it as an out shell on a damp, lightly snowing evening (-1 C) of Nordic skiing and I remain warm and dry. I have also used it under a Gore-tex shell while instructing alpine skiing and found it to regulate my temperature, remain comfortable, and allow me to be dynamic in my movements.

Just took this "Hoody" on a three day trek across the Presidential Range in New Hampshire (Temps 0-30F, Wind 30-50 mph to 60-70 mph with wind gust close to triple digits). I wore ONE thin merino wool tee shirt underneath and that's it! I would add a down jacket over when we stopped to set camp. Otherwise, this is THE PERFECT LAYER! I brought a Gore-Tex jacket and it never left my bag. It's so light and just magical at regulating temps, keeping you dry, and blocking the wind! My comrades were adding and removing layers, including the Gore-Tex. This is all you need (if moving). If the temps were below zero I would add a quarter zip. Otherwise just AMAZING.

I love this jacket. Bought it as a hiking option, and it's versatile enough to wear everyday. Took it as my only outer layer on a recent (mid-January) trip to New York (sub-freezing temps + windchill). With 2 simple layers underneath, it was enough to keep me warm as I walked around the city everywhere.

I have had this jacket for a short time, but it has turned into a daily user in 0-30 degree days in MT, I have used it for running errands and ice fishing and snowshoeing. It definitely holds up more than I would have thought for the size of it. I tend to put on a lightweight wool layer and wool vest with this guy on and I have been terrific. It is not as windproof as I would like for the rocky mountain front, but that means at about 20mph and cold temps it penetrates a little, which is where the wool vest comes in handy. But for the weight of the jacket it holds up extremely well in a Montana winter activity time.

When I first put it on it was amazing how warm and mobile I felt in it. I went for a -12 oC nighttime run in it and a baselayer and felt more than warm, however it breathed very well. Hopefully the inner 'lining' will hold up over time.

This jacket is perfect for everything from going out to eat to snow shoeing. My favorite part is its breathability that never makes you feel too hot but always keeps you warm. Best temperatures 30-55.
