I bought this coat to replace my north face 3 in 1 winter parka. I was disappointed that they don't make my coat anymore, however I'm super happy with this style! It's so warm and flattering. Thank you Northface for honoring your lifetime guarantee on my last coat! I received a gift card for the full amount after sending in my old coat that had defects. I will definitely be a customer for life:)

This jacket is warm, stylish and has some nice extras- Cozy sleeve lining, adjustable side pulls, extra pockets with zippers.

This product was sold old last year, and I have been waiting until it became available again. It was worth the wait! It is not bulky, and the side snaps give it a more fitted silhouette, which is what I look for. It's the perfect length to wear with pants and skirts, and will keep me warm during winter here in the Northeast.

I was always scared of buying these bc I didn't want to look to big and bulky but this jacket has straps on the waist that add a waist and it's super sexy in black. Honestly feel super comfortable and stylish in it! Love it and worth every penny!

It hasn't gotten cold enough to wear this coat in low temperatures yet, but it seems promising. It feels warm without being too bulky. I'm particularly excited about two features: 1) The sleeves have an extra cuff that folds over my hands and 2) the set of pockets that seemed to be placed in the perfect position for my hands. Excited to wear this coat in my first NYC winter!

I've been wearing the same North Face Ptak for the past 6 years and it's still in good shape. It was the first parka I invested and being from the Midwest, once you buy your first parka, you never go back. My friend actually told me about this new parka and said it was a major upgrade from the old type of north face parka because the new ones are even warmer. When I saw her in it, I saw how cute it was too so I had to try one myself. I absolutely love it. It truly is 10x warmer than my old parka, which I already know will be amazing for Chicago winters. And for being a heavy, thick parka, it's actually really cute and stylish. It had straps on the sides that pull in the waist so it still gives you a figure. I also love the fur on the hood. All around a really nice quality parka and I can't wait to wear it this winter.

This is my second NF coat (the last one I bought was back in 2012). I am a photographer and I am always out and about in all sorts of weather. The Outer Boroughs parka has a lot of pockets, which is extremely convenient for me. It is a bit heavy, but very, very warm. Perfect for me! Looking forward to wearing it this winter.

OMG This is the best winter coat ever! It is so comfy and stylish. Fits true to size, Large is what I usually order and this wasn't too tight or too loose, nice fitted look that is flattering, loads of deep pockets. Kept me cozy and warm through -60 degree weather and wind chill. It was so warm I really only needed it when it was below 0. The hood is long enough and covers the sides of my face, I didn't need a ski mask with this. Overall it is for some serious harsh weather and will make you feel warm even in the coldest temps! Didn't feel too heavy, also breathable. I mean I don't know what else you go do to make this a better winter jacket?! Maybe if some propellers came out and flew me to florida during blizzard season xD 10/10 Also for the love of all living creatures, open this package carefully and without scissors/box cutters! It will cut through the goose lining (that happened to me in another north face jacket but they did accept an exchange at least)

Cute and warm jacket- the pockets weren’t my style though and I decided to get the Arctic II parka instead.

I luvluvluv this parka for it's warmth and comfort plus style but am hugely disappointed that North Face hasn't figured out how to contain the down feathers in the jacket. Every time I wear it, so many feathers shed and attach to my clothing. Very annoying considering the price of the parka and the reputation of North Face clothing. I am considering activating the warranty.

I love this jacket! It is so warm and cozy during Chicago's freezing temperatures. The color is gorgeous and the zippets are very strong and wasy to use. The sinched in sides make it figure flattering and definitely not boxy.

Super awesome parka! I wore it during the polar vortex in Chicago and kept warm. I especially like the cuffs that turn into mittens.

I bought a NF coat similar to the Arctic Parka in 2013. I was almost tempted to buy the Artic Parka II (hello, cheaper price) but chose the Outer Boroughs due to the amount of pockets, ability to adjust the waist, the length and the longer sleeve length of the inner liner. For reference I am 5'6" 118lbs, I bought a medium in Dark Grey Heather (SO relieved they had got it back in stock!!). This was based on my previous fit of my other NF coat and it remains true for this one. There is a smidgeon more room but when I layer it's perfect, not restricting. Unlike my previous NF coat it isn't nearly as voluminous however I am much warmer. TNF PLEASE add just one more snap to the waist and it'll be perfect!! While it is quite a pricey coat, the quality is great and it will last for years. I truly beat the heck out of my other NF coat.

Great Jacket. Its nice and elegant. Although I ended up going with the Arctic Parka ii, because it offers the same warmth (same goose down fill power) for much cheaper. If you prefer this style over the Arctic it is certainly worth buying.

love this jacket but it is leaking feathers. Kind of heavy. very long

I bought this parka in December and was concerned about the size after reading previous reviews. I normally wear a medium and a medium fits perfectly. For reference I am 5'6" and an athletic 130 lbs. This parka is very warm and perfect for wearing in the snow as it is waterproof.

I find North Face fits small in general. This time I really sized up to be able to have that little puff of air around myself that creates warmth and room for a shell if I really want to. I wear anywhere from small t now large. Fit is what matters. I have the arctic model which is slightly less warm but for most winter temperatures is fine. I have bought that in a small and medium. Both now belong to my daughters. I can still fit in each but I prefer a little more space and will sacrifice a fitted look to get warmth. None of these coats are high fashion, also not really flattering but that is not the function of a parka when it is really, really cold such as we just had. I agree sleeves could be cut with a little more space in general. I thin zone heating should be evaluated in these coats as well. You are likely to become colder along the spine and upper chest as well as upper arms. No coat I have ever had has done an excellent job with this. I will continue to buy North Face because I can count on the quality and service. Good luck finding a fashionable PARKA.

I bought this coat to replace another north face coat which I had worn for the past ten years and was always warm with. That coat was similar to the arctic ll parka for sale This new coat is definitely not as warm, I am warm in mild winter temperatures but as soon as it gets to -10 and below I am cold, the wind cuts through the fabric, and I don't feel much warmth, as well feathers leak onto my cloths when wearing it, in comparison my old north face coat rarely leaked feathers and kept me warm at -30 degrees

I bought this coat back in early November and was a bit worried Inwouldnt get to wear it because it is so warm, that I get too warm at times for this coat. Now that it's January and very cold and I have a puppy with outdoor needs, I wear this coat all the time and it has even kept me comfy warm during this nasty polar vortex the last few days. Highly recommend this coat if you want to be toasty warm in the cold winter months

Love this coat. The only complaints are that the dollar is a bit stiff and I sometimes feel like I'm wearing a neck brace... BUT it's sooo warm, the built in mittens are useful, the hood stays up and is very insulating. It also looks as good in the city as a down parka can. Since this polar vortex just started, I'm very happy I've got this!!!

I used the size chart while buying online. The size chart was very thorough. I received the jacket and wore it once. I noticed the sleeves were slightly tight in the shoulders. When I bent down to put my boots on the jacket felt slightly tight and a bit stiff. I would have exchanged the jacket for a slightly bigger size, although it was sold out when I looked on the website again.

All round, great, warm and stylish parka. The only drawback is the hood, it's to small and hard to keep in place without zipping all the way up.
