I am in love with this coat. My friend bought it last season and I envied it so much that I had to buy myself one. I was a bit hesitant because it is an expensive coat, but I applied the student discount and it felt worthy because I was saving money. I was considering buying the Arctic III model of this jacket, but was more drawn to this coat because it has pockets. It's fashionable and so, so warm. I go to college in upstate New York and have to walk across campus multiple times a day in 20*F or below weather. In this coat I can do so in any attire - even a shortsleeve - and I know I'll be comfortable. It's also weather proof!! I highly recommend this coat.

I really love this jacket. I reside in NYC very close to the water and this jacket keeps me very warm. I can even leave it open and be warm.

It is the perfect coat for frigid Vermont winter!

I am so pleased that I bought this parka. I wore this coat during the cold snap in Chicago last week and it kept me warm and comfortable. I love the built in mittens. This parka is very flattering and is not too puffy. I bought the Arctic II parka as well but found this to be a nicer coat (more fitted, better hat). I am 5' 4" and 120 pounds. Size small fit perfectly. Best purchase of the season! Highly recommend. Thank you TNF!

I use the coat on a daily basis and absolutely love it. No other coat has even come close to the level of warmth this North Face coat gives. I can go outside even in the dead of winter and I will feel absolutely no cold. This coat is truly amazing.

This jacket is going to be perfect for cold midwest winters. It is a great length and a great matieral! The only thing I don't love is around the neck because it is so high when I zip it up. I'm sure this will come in handy to protect my face on stormy days but otherwise it is a little too high.

This is a very warm jacket. It's true to its size. I ordered xsmall first because I'm a petite person but it was too tight around the shoulders so I had to order small which is a good size for me. I had a bad experience exchanging the xsmall to a small because Northface doesn't have any exchange policy so I had to pay again for the Small size. Customer service representative was not helpful first and second time but When I called third time our issue was resolved. So be careful when ordering.make sure you go to the store and try the size you want.

Use this jacket for cold weather.

I bought this jacket for an upcoming Green Bay and Chicago visit when I noticed the temperatures were going to get to 30F and below. Not used to the weather, being from South Florida, so needed something to keep me warm. It fits to my build. It was a little tight with one layer of clothing at the chest area (34C) but was comfortable nonetheless. In Green Bay and Chicago, I was kept warm when it was snowing. It is bulky and a heavier coat but no complaints because of the warmth.

I bought this jacket for a winter trip to Canada! I'm from Southern California and searched for a while for the warmest (and cutest!) winter coat. Based on the warmth ratings, I ended up deciding between this one and the Arctic Parka- I chose this because I felt it was a bit more stylish :) I tried it on, and I love it! I haven't worn it in the cold yet, but I couldn't keep it on for more than a minute in my house because I got so hot! I usually wear a size small or medium, and I got a medium. It fits, but isn't as roomy as I was expecting. I think I'll still keep this size and be able to layer underneath, but it's pretty form-fitting. I love the dark grey color, the faux-fur hood, and all the pockets!

I just got this jacket and no regrets. I was a little worried about the price, but it is worth it. I have another northface from about 8 years ago, but it was not as warm as I'd like . This is very warm. The insulated collar and hood is perfect. I like the fleece lined pockets. I think this will last for years and years. I got a large and I am 5'7'' 160 pound, 32 chest, but large hips. It fits perfectly. I live in Chicago so it will be perfect.

Like this parka the quality is great. I moved from south to PA, I think this item is good enough for keeping me warm this winter. And I think it looks good as a winter gear. I'm 5'2 and 88 lbs and I like its length. It won't be too large for me.

After reading the reviews I made a decision to purchase this beautiful parka and I don't regret it. This parka is well made with great quality materials, very warm and stylish. I'm 5f7in and 138lb and I ordered size M. It fits perfectly and roomy enough to wear a sweater under. The sleeves are little bit on the long side but it's ok for the winter weather. Nice coat !

I was a little hesitant with the size but it fits great for my 5ft frame. My 2 complaints are the collars being too big & the delivery option ... Otherwise, I love the jacket!

It is very heavy but I love it . It's so stylish and I'm looking forward to using it in this NY freezing weather .

I decided to buy a good quality jacket this year. Winters are getting colder and I definitely needed to invest in a jacket that allows me warmth and comfort. I am definitely loving my purchase!!! It's a gorgeous fit looks nice at the waist. It's big and thick, I feel very snug.

I bought this coat to replace the Juneau Parka that I bought about 5 years ago it's the same thing but an upgraded version this coat as well as all other North face parkas are very durable especially in New York City when you have to travel on the Subway and the weather sometimes is unpredictable you will be ready to go anywhere with this coat. And just like the discontinued Juneau Parka it has all the pockets which is one of the main reason why I bought this coat.If you are apprehensive about the price just think of it as a long term investment you will pay for the use of this coat over years because there are workhorses. For example you buy the coat now you won't have to think about buying a coat for another 5 years.

Bring on our Michigan winter, I'm ready!!

I love the style and fitted shape of this winter parka - exactly what I was looking for, as I don't like large, puffy, and heavy winter jackets. It's a great, stylish, warm, and very comfortable winter coat for windy and cold NYC winters. The only thing that surprised me is that the XS size was too tight on me, and all of my winter jackets have always been XS size. So I exchanged it for S size and now the fit is *almost* perfect. The S size seems just a bit too lose. However, this parka is so beautiful that I am keeping the S size with a bit more room underneath for thicker winter clothing. Another reason why I love this parka is that the fur trim around the hood is faux fur - another thing I always look for in a jacket. I don't want any real animal fur on me. Highly recommended.

Perfect for winter weather.

I am 5'-9" 150lb and usually I would have purchased a Medium but I listened to all of the reviews and ordered a Large - I am so glad I did this as it fits perfectly. I started wearing it recently as the weather started to get windy and cold and all my friends were asking me where I got it. As we were walking outside in 20F degree weather, I was perfectly cozy while they were freezing. First of all, the jacket is WARM (and most importantly waterproof). Second of all, it is cute. I love that the fake fur on the hood doesn't look "cheap", which I was afraid of. I was also surprised by the extra features - a hidden pocket on the inside of the jacket (usually only men's coats have that), the "waist clenching" feature on the back, soft/warm/cozy material at the neck, and the "mitten-sleeves". Anyway, I am very happy with my purchase and I think it was worth it. I purchased the navy one.

The zipper was hard to work. The pockets were too low for me to even put my hands in. I am 5’ 3”. I like the look of a non puffy coat though.
