The most uncomfortable thing I have ever worn, helps with the cold but part of me would rather freeze than be that uncomfortable and restricted

Great coat! It's nice and warm and great quality. The only thing that bothered me was the hood color. I thought I was getting a grey mixed with white hood lining. It was more brown toned when I got it. The picture is a little off from the item I received.

This is a great, heavy duty parka. It is slim and doesn’t make you look like a puff ball. The coat is water, wind and cold resistant. I love it. Tried on at least 10 different parkas from several other high quality brands and this was by far the best style wise. I highly recommend it. A seamstress can easily remove the belt for you if you don’t want or need it. I love the coat!

I thought long and hard before buying this coat, but decided that being outside so much in the Michigan winter made it worth the investment! I'm usually an XS but sized up to a small to allow for some additional layering underneath. It's a heavy coat but worth the money. The insulated hood is a nice bonus. I also really like the I built in cuff gloves!

Bought this jacket in anticipation of my first New England winter. So far I love it. Warm, cozy and fits true to size! Would definitely buy again!

I have had this parka for a year and I can confidently say that I am very disappointed in this purchase. I wear dark colors all year long and it was so disheartening and frustrating having to constantly remove the tiny feathers coming out of the cheap lining. It came to the point that I had to carry lint remover sheets in my purse and office desk and spend 15 minutes or more removing EVERY SINGLE ONE (please see image of my wool base layer after spending a cold, NZ winter day in this parka). It's embarrassing to do so, and even more so when taking off said parka and people noticing said feathers flying around. A clothing item this expensive should not be such a hassle to deal with. I'm going to give this away and get my outerwear from another brand.

This coat felt about 2 sizes too small. I could barely zip over my chest and there is no way I could have fit even a moderately thick sweater underneath it. Overall great comfort and style. Ordered a L, typically a M-L. 36-38G chest, 170lbs, 5'7".

I just got this parka and have been wearing it in 35-45 degree windy, wet, and cold weather in Alaska. It is supposed to take the place of my old poofy down parka with the same 550 goose down fill but I am not sure if it will hold up to that coat warmth wise. Regardless, it has been keeping me comfortably warm in the current conditions and is a great wind blocker with the length of the coat, the hood, and especially the mitten cuffs. Hats off to whomever invented the cuffs. The hood seems to stay in place nicely and actually looks cute too, I love the waist band and that it's adjustable. Pockets are great, there are quite a few of them however they are placed outside of the down fill area so they do not provide warmth from your own body or the insulation, except for the protection of the wind. I really love this coat and It is way better than the Arctic Parka II which I exchanged for this coat but I am not sure if it was worthy of the price as far as the warmth goes. I wish I could tell you how it pans out in 20 degrees or 20 below but right now I am so happy to have it and it looks really nice on me. I have a lot of freedom of movement and the adjustable waistband keeps my heat in. It worked great when I fed my horses in the icy wind, taking the dog for a walk, and I was telling myself that I could actually wear this hiking and even snowshoeing. It kept the wind OUT. If it was split in the back it would be absolutely perfect for riding my horse. TNF I would recommend a split in the back for people who ride horses, bikes, motorcycles, etc, that can be snapped shut, to increase the fluff of the down, and for at least some of the pockets to be inside the down insulation. Otherwise this is the perfect parka that looks nice and does it's job too! Even though I am not sure about the warmth the coat provides by itself, it is designed well for layering so I should be able to stay comfortably warm come 25-30 below.

Beautiful quality jacket. I decided to splurge on a new winter coat and I'm very happy with the purchase. It's really well made, warm, cozy, and I can't wait to wear it this winter! Only reason for 4/5 stars is it's a little tight around my hip area but I had on 2 layers and a scarf :) definitely recommend this jacket!

I was searching for the best northeast beat down the cold and wind, polar-vortex-proof, come-at-me-winter jacket, and this is it! I tried on probably a hundred coats of every possible brand, and when I tried this one on, I knew it was the one. It's like climbing into a warm bed and being able to stay in it and protected wherever you go and no matter how cold it is. The way the hood and neck fits so perfectly, there is no need and no room for a scarf. There's room for a hat under the hood but I found I didn't need it. I love the pseudo mittens that cover you in a pinch, but they're really not a glove replacement. I love all the pockets, too. My only complaint is that in order to get the right fit for the rest of me, the top (around my chest and arms) fits like a glove, which feels nice, but it's a little uncomfortable wearing a sweater underneath. I'm 5'10", 145lbs, and have a Large. I bought it almost a year ago so it's been winter-tested. It's pricey but worth it.

I wanted a really warm coat for winter activities and walking into work. I love the mitten feature on the sleeves! Its not as bulky as i thought but i trust beung 550 down fill and one of the heavier rated coats that it'll do the job!

I really needed a next-level coat for the NYC winter. This is perfect because it's very warm and windproof. I also like the snaps in the back so it can be adjusted. The built-in mittens are a huge bonus.

I'm so excited to enjoy the Northwoods in this cozy, comfortable, and stylish Parka! I love the longer length and the ease of the zipper. It's obvious that it is well made. I also feel like it frames my shape nicely. It gets very cold in Northern WIsconsin and I say BRING IT ON!!!!!

I am 5'5", 114#, 34"-35" chest. Ordered a Small. The coat fits great everywhere except it feels tight under the arms and chest when wearing just a T-Shirt. I recommend ordering up a size if you are Busty. I reordered a Medium, hoping this works.

My sister bought an older version of this jacket for herself last year and I wore it once and loved it. I searched and searched and couldn't find it. I am outside all the time either at work with my kiddos or just out and about and I need a jacket that will keep me warm. This is definitely the jacket for that purpose.

I tried on both this And the Def Down. I am 5'6 125. In Def Down I fit a size small with plenty of room, but in the Outer Burroughs I needed to go up a size to a Medium due to the shoulders being so tight. I like the fabric of the Outer Burroughs, it has a smooth texture. The Def Down felt like corduroy and I could feel the fabric snag on my rough hands. I wore the Outer Burroughs at an outdoor event in the 20s and didn't feel cold at all for over two hours. I can't wait to test it on our Sub zero MN days. It also has a very flattering cut.
