My purchase of this winter jacket was finally decided by its versatility. It did not disappoint when I received it. The liner can be removed if the extra warmth isn't needed, & can also be worn separately. The fur lining on the hood can be removed if desired. The outer jacket is water repellent. I love the slightly fitted style of the jacket. It is very flattering & not too bulky. Overall, this is an ideal winter jacket designed to provide the right amount of warmth in varying types of winter weather.

I'm not use to cold weather, so when I decided to leave for Paris for a whole year I needed to buy a good jacket and this one definitely keeps me warm.

I purchased this for myself! I purchase quite a bit of Columbia products as gifts for family, but seldom for myself. I purchased the coat in the Black Cherry and I love the color. I am a fan of the Omni heat lining. I really like the fact that I can "cinch" the coat in at the waist, as I feel it gives the coat a dressier touch when that is desired. The fit is perfect for me and I like that I can lighten the coat by removing the liner. Nice job, Columbia!!

Great interchange jacket! Kept me warm during 30 degree weather with rain, wind, and snow. Wish there were pockets on the inside of the jacket. It is waterproof to a certain degree. If you're out for several hours in the rain, it will soak through to the second layer but you will stay dry. I had a vest and base layer underneath so didn't need to worry about the being cold when it dipped to the 20s. There's enough room to wear a sweater underneath. For reference, 5'5 and 140.

Beautiful jacket! Although it's more purple than maroon loved it either way. True to size and a little room for a thin sweater.

I bought this coat for winter sadly it was at the end of the season so I'll have to wait till next winter to wear it. It's very beautiful, it's basically 2 coats in one. Can't wait to try it out.

After reading other reviews I decided to order a size up from what I normally wear. And I'm glad I did! It fits perfectly. I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs. I usually wear a large jacket but ordered an XL. Not sure what to call it but I love the part that goes between my thumb and forefinger to keep the sleeves from riding up.

I ordered this coat to keep me warm in the harsh winters in Wisconsin. I was amazed with the construction of this jacket. Quality made with warmth that has surpassed all my other jackets. From the high collar to the sleeve that keeps all the cold air out.

I love this jacket! It feels lightweight and not bulky. I like that it is 3 jackets in one. I don't need to have several jackets, just this one.

Bought this coat in "beet." The color is more like a lovely raspberry parfait. I just love the color! It fits perfectly. The price was amazing (bought on sale). The quality fantastic. Love the 3-in-1 functionality.

I really love this coat! It is very warm. It does run a little small. I bought a large and I probably could have gotten an extra large. I normally buy size large in coats.

Love this coat! Love the color I chose too. I live in northern MI, very cold walking to classes. Wind can be wicked, and the hood is perfect and beautiful. Warm but not bulky. I am short, only 5ft 1", and still looks good on me. I wanted it to cover by lower section to stay warm

Needed to replace Columbia knee length coat that could not be repaired. As most winter coats are sold out this time of the year, I chose to try this interchangeable parka. At first a litte skeptical as it is really a raincoat with a hood and a removeable inner jacket; which seemed very thin. The first day I wore it, it rained and I had no umbrella. To my surprise it was absolutly waterproof! Later, I wore it again and the temperature went up and I was too hot! In remembering that I could remove the inner jacket to wear separately, I did so and it was perfect for the warmer temperature. Together they perform well, except when its below 30 degrees I still need to layer a wool sweater to be comfortably warm. The hood you can remove, however, it is not attached in a way as to keep the cold drafts from seeping through when wearing up on your head. And mine didn't have a drawstring in the waist; I turned it inside out and tried every cord I saw, but no drawstring. Overall, I would recommend it for the versatility; however, if you live in the Mid West with fluctuating temps, add a layer when needed and you should be warm enough. I still have to get a longer coat as my thighs/legs need coverage for our varying and unknown weather conditions.

I live in San Francisco and I bought this jacket to take to on a cold weekend trip to Chicago (temperatures around 32F/0C) it was perfect. The long sleeve with the thumb cuff hole was great to slip in my gloves and block the wind out. The inner jacket is going to be idea to wear on its own in SF. I'm 5'8" and 150lbs. Fits me really well.

I needed a versatile jacket for temperatures between frigid and warm here in the Mid Atlantic. Sometimes my down coat is just too warm. This jacket is beautiful (I got the Black Cherry) and made very well. Pros: * Three jackets in one * Plenty of pockets that are more than deep enough * Two-way zipper * Hand warmers * Adjustable hood (both back and front) * Waist adjustment * Removing and installing the inner coat is very easy Cons: * The zipper on the outer shell is VERY difficult to get started sometimes * Definitely not warm enough for temperatures under 35 degrees unless you're moving around a lot * The cinches for the waist and hood are difficult to use if you're not looking at them and the loop that's created is extremely inconvenient - especially in the pockets * The waist cinch is inside the zippered pockets (see above) * The zippered pockets have the fleece in them but the zippers are metal and would be cold against your skin Overall, the pros outweigh the cons so I won't return the jacket. I wanted everyone to be aware of these slightly annoying things. I do love this jacket and would buy another if and when this one needs replacing.

This winter has been brutal and I was looking for a jacket that could handle it. I have found my new favorite jacket. It fits very well. I was concerned that adding a hooded large sweatshirt would make it too confining, but I was pleasantly surprised that I had no problems with movement. I have also worn a a different hooded sweatshirt and still had no problems with movement. On other days when I have worn the jacket without a sweatshirt I continue to be very warm and comfortable. I have no issues with this jacket.

I'm in love with this parka. I'm 5'8 and 167lbs, and I usually wear a M. I originally went with a L with the intention of layering, and the L wound up being too tight with the Omni-Heat layer, and fit perfect without it (but of course it wasn't as warm). So after much back-and-forth, I went ahead and bought the XL. It fit perfect. I spent about a week traipsing about Anchorage, spending about 90% of my time outside, and this parka really held up. It kept me warm and dry, and the pockets were very functional. I was actually surprised at how much crap I stuffed in these pockets (mittens, hand warmers, sunglasses, wallet, phone, beanie, etc). NOTE: Yes, I did keep both sizes. Without the Omni-Heat layer (which can actually function as a jacket on its own), the L is a perfect everyday winter parka -- running errands, going shopping, etc. The XL is now my main parka for the times where I spend a large amount of time outside and need the extra warmth and to layer up more.

I first bought this jacket for my daughter who was planning a trip to Iceland. She said the jacket performed excellently. She was warm and dry throughout her whole stay. With her endorsement I bought one for my other daughter and one for me.
