The zipper will go up if both parts of the zipper aren't all the way down to the bottom of the coat, but then you can't unzip it. Twice mine was a few mm above the bottom, & I had to step out of the coat to get out. I love how warm the coat is, & that it has the bottom open zipper to reach your pants pockets if needed. I finally found a coat warm enough for me.

Great features! Love the warm pockets:) the hood is big which is nice when in wind or snow:) Only downside is that it attracts a lot of fuzz/hair easily:( Overall a great product and I would recommend it!

It's good for really cold weather. Very heavy duty- warm and rain proof. It's on the heavy side.

Not crazy about the faux fur trim, can do without. Sleeve cuffs too thick, and does not keep cold out. How do you control all the static from the coat outer shell? My long hair always doing the electricity display.

very warm, feel well protected. color is between dark red and violet, not red as shown in picture. 4 packs, 2 on waist side, on lap side. I'm 164cm and 55kg, XS is enough for me.

This coat is perfect for the cold MN weather. Disclaimer: I wear it layered over another sweater or lighter fleece jacket. I think it'd be warm if I just wore it over top. I just wish the green was a little darker. It's more like a washed out soft green which isn't my favorite, but I've gotten tons of compliments on the color!

I ordered it last minute before a trip to Iceland. I have purchased Columbia jackets before & have always gotten a size bigger in order to layer. I got my typical L size but it was too big. You can tell it's big on me but I didn't have time to return it. Other than the sizing, the jacket is amazing! Kept me super warm. I was literally sweating every time I wore it!

Did not enjoy this coat. The picture makes it looks nicer than it is. When you zip up the coat, it feels really tight. The coat is not fitted so you can fit layers underneath. The length, hood, and tapered sleeves are nice.

Something is not right with this Jacket. I have multiple Columbia jackets and this one is the one I hate so much. It is not equal in its dawn and the size is not right

Having all my "big winter coats" be made from down for over 30 years, there is nothing that can match :( Positives: lovely light pink color. This has a great storm flap that snaps (win) over the zipper. The sleeve openings for your hands can be tightened up by snaps and they have a knit cuff up inside the jacket which is very comfortable . The zip pockets are useful, the big cargo pockets are only for looks. It is long, so all my assets are covered but not so long it impedes walking or getting into a vehicle. Negatives: the fur trim is unattractive, small and looks better off the jacket. The hood doesn't come as far forward as my N@rth F@ce jackets' hoods. So not as useful when it's wet snow. The lovely attempt at a belt in the back to give some silhouette is adjustable with Velcro. But doesn't have enough Velcro to tighten up the belt as much as I need it to be done. The jacket is BIG. I bought an XL as I wear a 12-14 in misses and have hips to cover. I could fit a full out wool double breasted blazer beneath this jacket. I have lots of room. Think blanket. Sadly the most negative is that it is not as warm as my down jackets. Standing outside in 20 weather (no wind) while my dog does her business, I could feel the cold seep down and through the top of the shoulder and arm area.

Not designed for small women, but it might look good on a taller woman. It is fluffy enough to be relatively warm, though I'm not sure how it would do below freezing. I returned it primarily because it was too large for me. The only thing that fit correctly was the torso. Otherwise, it was too long overall, the collar was too tall, the sleeves were way too long, and the armpits were actually a little too cramped for me to wear a midweight layer under it.

I feel like this coat will be very warm. It's longer than I thought and bells out at the bottom. The inner liner makes it very crinkly and loud when you move. The color I went with looks more purple in person.

I'm 115 lbs, 5'2", and I tried both a small and an XS. They both made me look like a child in my mother's coat. I'm athletic with strong arms and larger hips/butt area, and the small fit better than the XS because the XS felt too tight in my underarm area. But both coats went to my knees in the front and past my knees in the back. The sleeves went past my finger tips, and the stand-up collar went up so high, it felt like it could block my vision, and it added to it looking too big for me. Other than sizing, the quality was ok. The outer fabric was a little rough, but not too bad. The fleeece around the sleeve cuffs is such a cheap fleece, it will be pilling within the first wear. The amount of down filling seemed decent, but companies are using less and less of it these days, so I don't know how this would stand up in true cold weather. Overall disappointed, but it might be a good coat for someone at least four inches taller than me with long arms and a long neck. Or someone who doesn't mind looking like a child in an oversized coat.

I do like this jacket. Couple of issues, arms are way too long and the jacket itself is extremely heavy. I wasn't expecting either of those. I have purchased many Columbia winter jackets and though they were all warm jackets, none of them was as heavy as this coat is. I wish it had come in petite. One feature I do love and that is the two pockets that sit on the rib areagreat for putting your hands in to keep them warm.

Very bulky and unflattering. Especially in the arms. Seems warm and well constructed though so I think it's a good coat. I will be returning and trying something else.

This was a very nice coat with one exception. The hood seemed somewhat shallow so it did not seem like it would keep my head warm. There was also a large gap where the faux fur snapped onto the top of the hood which was not aesthetically pleasing. If you don't care about the hood, these won't be a problem for you, but it doesn't work for me.

I am 5'2" size 4. I ordered small & it fits fine in body area but arm pit area are a bit tight. The length is above my knees. The website recommended to order one size up but I checked the coat in store it looks big enough.

For the amount paid, there are way TOO MANY loose threads. Also, unless you're as straight as a board, the bottom is very narrow.

For reference I'm 5'2" 118 lbs. If you intend to layer under this jacket I recommend sizing up as it's a pretty true fit. I bought an XS (my normal size) and wouldn't be able to wear a really thick sweater or loose fitting sweater underneath. The design is super cute and definitely warm but the arms are awkwardly super long which caused the extra fabric to bunch at my armpits and make it feel tight when it wasn't. Will be returning but maybe it can work for you if you have really long arms..?

I want to love this jacket more than I do, but the fit is off. Otherwise, it's a decent jacket. Fit: It's entirely too small around the bottom for anyone who is pear-shaped. The top fits well, and gives me plenty of room for thicker sweaters. I hadn't even tried to zip it up until it got pretty cold in Ohio, then found out that I have to pull pretty hard to get the bottom to zip, and then I have to unzip the bottom third of the jacket if I want to walk around in it or bend down. Warmth: 10/10. Warmest jacket I've ever owned. Quality: 7/10. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the zipper feels pretty cheap. Because the jacket is tight, I'm worried I'll break the zipper. There are also many little loose strings all over the jacket from the stitching. It was fine when I got it but the stitching has come loose within a few weeks. Overall: 3/5 Columbia, please quality check your items and update sizing charts for each jacket. There's no reason for a jacket to fit the way this one does. I would have bought a large if I knew the dimensions were wonky.

I have a women's Barlow pass jacket in XL The specs are nearly identical to this one But I wanted to be able to wear a thicker sweater. I called CS Who explained they have actual sizing of coats on their end, and online is just generic. My old coat was 49.5" around the chest and this coat is 52.5 Which seems like a perfect fit. However I can't even close this coat but my old Barlow coat atleast buttons. I even purchased other coats in a size 1X and XXL but they are all too big. If you're lucky enough to find a coat that fits, since this jacket is identical to my old one, I know you will not sweat in this jacket do to the reflective lining, you will not get wet since it is waterproof, and it is also very warm It's time to find a new coat company but if you're lucky enough to find a coat that fits, since this jacket is identical to my old one, I know you will not sweat in this jacket do to the reflective lining, you will not get wet since it is waterproof, and it is also very warm
