I purchased this jacket because I was tired of being cold at my son's hockey games. This jacket is definitely warm and so it met my expectations. It is a bit bulky and on the heavy side, but if that's what makes it warm, I can live with it. I don't really like the way it bunches when I sit. But I can live with that as well. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Overall, l think this coat is pretty nice. I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 because I am not particularly fond of the fleece/Sherpa collar around the neck. I would have preferred the collar to be the same material as the inside of the hood. I also thought the faux fur around the hood could have been fuller or fluffier. The coat is a perfect fit even though I'm quite full in the bust area. I ordered a large. I'm 4"11 around 175lbs. The hem of the coat is above my knees. I'm also happy with the coat having several pockets.

I'm from FL, so going to NYC for Christmas I knew I'd need a really good coat! This coat was great, super warm, lots of pockets, great length. The best part was how waterproof it is, rain just beaded off. The only part that needs fixing is the hood. There is a large gap between where the fur buttons onto the hood. I eventually had to get a hat as my forehead was so cold despite wearing the hood. Overall I would totally recommend this coat!!

This is a great jacket. I was looking for something for the western Pennsylvania winters and i think i finally found it. This coat is nice and long so it completely covers my rear end with no breeze getting it. Its definitely good for those below freezinf temps. I wore it on a 40 degree rainy day and was sweating. One thing to note, which may be obvious, is that its a thick coat. I feel that I can move well in it but its thicker than my other winter jackets. Very cozy and warm. Im excited for all my future winter adventures in this coat. As far as sizing goes i usually wear a small but doing my measurements I decided on a medium. I think a small would have fit fine but it wouldnt have had room for heavy winter clothes/layers.

Overall, I really like this jacket. It has kept me very comfortable on the days that are 15 to -20. You definitely don't need to "layer up" underneath, but I run a little warm. The jacket and the sleeves run a little big, but these two things did not deter me from keeping it.

Although the Malbec color looks like a deep burgundy in the picture it is brown brown brown. To be honest there are no pretty colors for this coat. As for size, I am 5'6" 150lbs and ordered a Medium based on reviews. I normally wear a M/L. It is way to small. It is tight around the middle an cuts under the arms. The double zipper is amusing if you don't know what you're doing go to YouTube and watch the quick LLBean video on how to use the double zipper. It's actually pretty nice. Also, I will say that this coat is heavier than I thought. Here in Georgia there might be one week a year that you need a coat like this. But it sure is nice to have one. Haven't decided if I want to keep it yet and give it to my daughter who is tiny. I am afraid that she may not want it due to the ugly color. But if you like brown/ this is you. :D

Fit is what the picture depicts. The warmth is outstanding. The outer layer really protects from Chicago winds. 4 stars due to color. Not quite the color shown online.

I ordered my reg size, M, the coat bulged out in the middle, very unflattering on. But hey, it is super warm. I'll be returning because I would like something that doesn't make me look like a potato.

It's a very nice Jacket. Unfortunately had to return it. I don't know why people say it runs small. I ordered xxl according to sizing chart and the jacket was huge. Overall it looks nice

This coat is great for the Chicago winters- it's windproof, water resistant, and very warm without being overly bulky. I like the surplus of pockets on the outside of the coat, and there's one zip pocket on the inside which is nice as well. My main issue with this jacket is the neck/hood area- the neck area is lined with a very soft, but not at all waterproof, fabric. It gets wet and moist very quickly if it's exposed (which, it will be exposed unless you full zip up and put the hood on). Unfortunately, the hood is a bit hard to keep on- there's no buttons or drawstring to tighten it, which means that it easily blows back if windy. I live in Chicago near Lake Michigan, so it's windy a lot here making the hood pretty tough to keep up for a prolonged period.

Very cute warm jacket. Kept me warm in below zero temps. Good fit. I appreciate the double zipper as it's funny to sit in unless you can open it up a little bit.

Keeps me warm. The size runs big, hence had to return original order and purchase a smaller one. On the down side, hood is not comfortable and doesn't really look good.

I really like this jacket. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it is bulkier than I expected. Overall is a great purchase and I would recommend. It keeps me very warm and I love the brown detail contrasting with the blue. I have received a lot of compliments.

I'm 5'9" and a slender build. I have comfortably worn a medium in the past. I had to return the medium for a large because it was too short in the arms and tight across the shoulders. Otherwise, it's a nice coat and very warm.

I love this jacket! Warm, well made, covers my buns! Love! But those darn button on the hood NEVER stay hooked. I always look like the flying nun! I've bottom 100 times and still any moment at all they pop. If you don't care about the hood at all than definitely go for this! I LOVE it!

I purchased the Icelandite jacket in black. It is a beautiful, warm coat. For me though it was too large overall. I'm 5'1" and got a medium. The jacket was overall just too big and also too long so I had to return it. It would have been warm on the coldest of days.

I love the jacket, but i returned it, is more for super cold places than the usual Washington DC weather. It has a great fit and is heavy for good cold weather.

I purchased this jacket a few days ago, it was almost perfect! I wish it was a bit longer, and that the sleeves were lined with Omni heat. The hood is on the small side but that was not a deal breaker. Everything else is great, the soft cuffs, the fleece on neck area, waterproof. No Velcro anywhere! The pockets were nice and lined with button and zipper closures. I felt this was true to size.

LOVE this coat. Excellent quality and design. Would definitely recommend! I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs and the Med fits well, with a lot of room for layers underneath. I'm always freezing and I've finally found a coat that keeps me warm in the coldest weather. The hood is just the right sizeother brands come down too far over your face.

I bought the "Icelandite Turbodown Jacket' for my trip to Iceland and its holding up to its name. I've been wearing this just about everyday and its truly a lifesaver during the intense cold frigged nights and sharp winds

I spent a long time reading all the reviews before deciding to purchase this coat online, I was unsure of what size to order because the sizing reviews were so different. I'm happy I decide to gamble and go with a Medium! (By some reviews, I was in between a Medium or Large) I wanted/needed room to wear a sweatshirt under and I was afraid it would I've been too tight. And to my surprise, it fits perfectly! It's perfect with layers or no layers, it's not heavy in my opinion! It looks great on me and isn't too long or too short for a parka. I'm so happy with my choice! I almost ordered a second in another color. I'm about 5' 5" and about 145lbs.
