I haven't tried it in the really cold of Montana, but seems like it will be warm. I love the length.

I'm a huge fan of my mighty light jacket, but the sleeves ran short and I couldn't use the thumb holes. Having broad shoulders I always size up and the 1x was perfect across my shoulders and upper back. I can also use the thumb holes and I can comfortably fit my bulkiest sweater under the jacket. At 5'9" the length hits just above my knees.

Longer on me than expected, but I am happy with that. Only drawback is that the hood is not detachable. I really appreciate the inside zippered pocket.

This coat looks great and is very comfortable. I especially like the length. My only complaint is that it's not quite as warm as I was hoping it would be.

I wanted longer coat. Nit as warm as some but was looking for something nit to loht or heavy. Nice fit

This jacket is a good length, it's warm, but seems to run a bit smaller in the chest and arm area.

The coat fits great but I'm not a fan of the bright silver lining. It doesn't show it in the pictures that I recall.

I love this jacket so much. Very warm but yet still light weight. So comfortable and I love the longer length.

I like the coat.. it's definitely light weight and soft. We haven't had any really cold weather since I got (I know weird for WI) but I think it should be good for colder weather, since it seems to keep me plenty warm. The only thing I really wish it had was snaps and a zipper... I don't like to use the zipper unless it's REALLY cold outside. I usually use one snap to keep it out of my way, but I can't do that with this one. I like that the pockets all have zippers and having an extra one inside by the chest area is awesome! Also I sized up and I'm glad I did!

Very comfortable, but the 1X fit more like the traditional XL I had purchased a few years before.

Length and thickness ideal, inner sleeve attaches to outer sleeve and extends a little too far down.

This fit well in bust, waist, and length. I did not fit well in shoulders - too large and sleeves - too long. The color is rather ghastly - unless you look good in yellow. It is called chalk, yet it does not have blue tones, rather it is very yellow ivory.

Nice quality jacket I just wanted a longer one so I sent it back.

Very nice coat, lightweight but very warm. Love the bright color.

I love the fit of this coat. It's not huge and puffy, yet it's warm and comfortable in the car. My only issue is the "water resistance." I was out playing with my kid on a snowy day and the coat seemed to soak up all the falling snow. It even changed the color of the fabric so I could tell it was soaked. Left it on my radiator in the house and it dried quickly, but I'm disappointed in its inability to keep me dry.

Definitely will want to size up as this runs a little snug especially if your heavy in chest area

The fit is very true to size, no sizing up or down needed. The color is beautiful: dark nocturnal. The hood is so cozy with fleece on the inside. There is no cord to tighten the hood, which surprised me. It repels water perfect. This being my first nd Columbia coat with Omni heat it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The jacket feels kinda thin, with the Omni heat to keep you warm the thinness is great for ease of movement and not feeling too bulky. Besides no cord to tighten on the hood the only other complaint I have is the zipper feels and performs very cheap. I have had this jacket less than 24 hours and have had several times where I had problems getting it zipped or unzipped. That’s super disappointing considering the reputation of Columbia and how much I paid for it.

The color was not true to the picture, it looked royal blue, but it's actually a grayish blue

Pleasantly surprised by how warm this jacket keeps you without being super bulky. I bought my normal size, 2X, and there is room to wear a light hoody beneath and still feels good. Only slight issue is I washed as directed on the tag but arm length slightly shrank, probably fine for most women but I'm 5'10 with long arms... Thankfully it has the thumb thing so that fabric comes to the end of my wrist.

It's really a shame that a Great Coat like this has a STICKING ZIPPER. If you plan on selling the coat next year PLEASE do something about the Zipper or you may get a lot of RETURNS. Question Would I recommend to a Friend: Only if the zipper is corrected otherwise NO.

Cute coat. However I would of returned for a small size had it been available. Will keep to wear with sweaters.

I love this coat. The length is great (I'm nearly 6 feet tall and this more than covers my bum) and the fit is great. It's a little loose, which lets me layer up on a cold day or a trip to the mountains. I definitely need to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath or the arms get a little sweaty and sticky. I'm sure that's related to the Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining, which really does keep you warm. But, not hot! I think the fit is a little big. I typically wear a 2x or 3x, so I originally ordered a 3x. I was swamped in the 3x. I returned it for the 2x which is still a little roomy. You might be safe to size down if you think you are between sizes. I would have given it 5 stars, but for the cost of this coat and the reliability of the brand, you'd expect the zipper to work the first time. I read a review before purchasing that said the zipper needed to be broken in. It really does. It took a few weeks of regular use before the zipper starts easily. It's like the zipper catches at the place you insert it into the other side. You really have to force it and try over and over to get it to go. Very frustrating. Now that it is broken in, it's great and I love it. Oh, also, if you have long arms or big hands, the thumb holes feel a little short at first but then stretch pretty comfortably.
