I love this coat for so many reasons, #1 its lightweight and still just as warm as any heavy bulky coat. The temp can be below zero and I protected and I don't feel weighed down. Great product!

Very light weight and warm! It does run small. I usually wear a XL and had to return the coat for a larger size. I ended up with a 2X which is a size I've never worn. However, its a great coat!

I have looked for a long time for a longer coat that is lightweight and warm and I have finally found it. This coat is wonderful. I have already worn it in Wisconsin weather that is cold, snowy, rainy and windy and I kept so very warm. This coat is well worth the money. It is sometimes hard to find a great fitting jacket that is warm and for a full figured gal!! Great job Columbia!!

I have had several Columbia coats throughout my life however it has been years since I've had one. I ordered my coat online. I read several reviews on several coats to make my decision. This coat is lightweight and comfortable. The material moves very well with the body and does not feel heavy. The coat is very warm! The day I received the coat I wore it outside in 40 degree weather with 17mph gusts with only a light t-shirt under the coat and I was very warm! I do not ski or do outdoor winter sports however I do a lot of walking and work outdoors for hours at a time which is what I will be using this coat for. I am 5'7" and the coat comes just a few inches above my knee which really helps with warmth as well. I had absolutely no problems sitting down or getting in and out of the vehicle with the length. I chose to purchase a 3x. I wanted to be able to have room to wear a jacket (blazer) or a hoody under the coat and not be stuffed. I wear a size 22/24 shirt and pants comfortably and a size 18/20 shirt slightly snug so I wasn't quite sure if I needed a 2x or 3x. The 3x is perfect!!! Not too tight and it doesn't feel like I'm struggling with extra material or "swimming" in it. I am well endowed in the backend and with the length of the coat I was worried it would not fit comfortably over my back side. It fits perfectly. It's not tight at all and covers all my backside. Ordered in Nocturnal which is navy blue and true to it. There are hand warmers attached to the sleeves at the end which go over the thumb and cover your hands all the way up to your first knuckle where your fingers start. Even if you don't wear the warmers on your hand and leave them around your wrist it is still comfortable and keeps the cold out of your sleeve (they're honestly pretty smart technology). The inside of the coat is "sparkly/shiney" with small dot pattern in a chrome silver color. The only part of the lining that has fleece is the hood and there are a total of 3 pockets; 1 inside and 2 on either side at your hips. There is a double zipper feature to help sitting if need be (I did not need to adjust the zipper at all when sitting down) and the coat zips all the way up to my chin stopping just below my mouth. The coverage is nice in case you forget your scarf. Columbia has not let me down yet in the 15 years I've been purchasing their products. I highly recommend this coat and hope this review helps you!!!!

I always love and wear Columbia jackets, coats undergarments for the freezing NY weather. This coat is my third coat in 15 years and i love it, it keeps me very warm and i could go out in freezing temperatures.

I do love this coat! The purple I ordered is a really beautiful color. It's a deep plum, nothing too bright, so it goes with everything. The torso is quite warm even thought the coat is very light, even thin. One criticism I have is the construction of the arms. It's a constant issue with all plus-sized clothing - they increase the body size and forget to add to the arms. Thus, the arms fit a bit snug so you do feel the chill despite the Omni-heat lining. A little more down fill in the arms might help too.

This jacket is so light it feels like I am wearing nothing, but it keeps the MN chill out. The jacket's length is perfect for keeping the lower half warm, but also keeps your work clothes clean as you are scraping snow and ice off your car. When the jacket is fully zipped the hood of the jacket keeps your head warm and does not collect wind, or blow back when the wind is howling. I do wish there was one more pocket closer to the top of the jacket.

I can't express enough how much I love this coat. It's not bulky and heavy, yet amazingly warm. I've worn it for several outdoor events when we needed to stand out there for several hours in 20's (midwestern winter!) and I was never cold. The hood is fabulous. The cuff has the hand slot to put your thumb in. I wasn't sure how I liked this, but after using it, I'm hooked! I also love the double zip that you can open from the bottom if you want to for sitting. You won't be disappointed with this coat! Note, I did choose true to size, BUT, if you were a lot of clothes that are very bulky and heavy, you might want to size up. In the end, I went with my normal size (I chose 1x and I wear a 16-18W normal).

This is my 2nd Columbia Jacket my first with the Omni-Heat. The Dark Plum color is very pretty. It is extremely warm don't have to layer anymore with this coat. I ordered the biggest size 3X before Black Friday only wished I had ordered one in a 2X now it's sold out. But the Columbia CSR found another one that is similar to this with the Omni-Heat (Mighty-Light Jacket) I hope I will love just as much as I do this one.

So light yet so warm! Perfect for 30 degree weather but unzipped you can easily wear this coat in 40-50 degree weather. I love the thumb holes and extra zip pocket. I would say this coat runs true to size but it's snug across my chest. I wear a 16 in jeans and a 16/18 in tops. I tried on an XL in the store but decided to order a 1X. The 1X is just slightly bigger. Overall I love it! So thankful Columbia carries plus size!

I bought my coat a little big (2x vs. my normal 1x) so that I would have plenty of room when wearing large sweaters and layers. I probably would have been ok with the 1x but the size I bought isn't too bulky or too large so I was happy! I LOVE the fit of this coat. It's warm and puffy without making me look bigger, inside the hood is a nice and comfortable lining, the length is perfect and the thumbholes are a plus! I would buy this coat again and again!

By far this is the best coat I have ever owned. It's so warm and yet doesn't make you sweat. The style is perfect for any occasion and is easily highlighted with a scarf and hat.

I have this coat in 1x. It's so nice to find a plus size coat that doesn't look like a poncho but comes to mid-thigh. It streches well to bend down and snap on dog collars. It's very warm but I can wear it on mild days and be fine, too. The thumb holes add extra warmth since cold can't reach my arms.

This is my first buy in many years from Columbia and so happy an acquaintance had the same coat, so I tried her's on and fell in love with it. All the warmth of a heavy winter coat, but this is very light weight and not bulky like so many others. Love the length, it will be great for being outside this winter in Northern Lower Michigan enjoying all that winter has to offer.

I love everything about this jacket. I was looking for a jacket that was a bit longer than other winter jackets...this one is - it covers the bumm so keeps me warmer. Love the lined sleeves and the thumb holes so air doesn't swoop up the arms. It keeps me nice and toasty warm. Love the color choices too. I am extremely happy with this jacket. This is my second Columbia purchase and I am sure I will buy more in the coming years.

Beautiful and comfortable winter coat

The coat is just what I was looking for. I had a similar one from Michael kors but the sleeves were way too short. Bugged me every time I wore it. This coat is perfect and with the sleeve and thumb things works great. Also pretty warm 24 degrees today and it didn't phase me..

I had a Columbia similar to this but an older version and loved it but I gained weight and needed to get a new one. I passed the old one down to my daughter and bought this one in blue. If it's possible, this may be even more light weight than my old one. I love the color, the weight, the zipper that can be used from the bottom or the top and these new cuffs with thumb holes! (Didn't have that with my old one). This one has the reflective material inside as well. The one thing I wish it had was another inside pocket. There is one up near the top but sometimes it is nice to have another one. Great purchase!

Lightweight without sacrificing warmth, this is a great long jacket! The long cuffs with thumb holes are super, the color range is great and the two-way zipper is everything I wanted in an everyday long jacket. Thanks Columbia!
