This product was everything I was looking for in a jacket. It fits really well. It keeps me warm. The reason why I did not give it a five star rating is because the zipper sometimes does not cooperate with the jacket. It will zip completely sometimes and other times it is jammed.

I love this coat and would give it 5 stars across the board if Columbia would fix the zipper. It is a double zipper, and requires a lot of messing with it to get it to zip up from the bottom (problem with the slider and insertion pin, to get the zipper started - the quality of the zipper itself and its attachment to the coat is fine). I tried on several of this coat in different colors and sizes and they all universally were extremely difficult to get the zipper started - I don't think this is a one-off for just a few bad zippers out there - I believe they are all bad. I bought the coat even though I knew about this problem, because I love everything else about the coat, but it really is a terrible problem, and I live in fear of the zipper failing permanently, and then all of the great features of this coat would be irrelevant because it would be useless. It is extremely rare that the zipper engages on the first try. Usually it takes several tries to engage the zipper and get it to zip up, which is not helpful if you don't have a few minutes to stand around messing with it every time you unzip it completely and need to zip it up again. If you don't need the longer coat (with the double zipper), buy the shorter version because it has a regular, single zipper, and it is perfect with no zipper problem.

The jacket is good for medium cold weather, but it cannot insulate very cold weather.

Zipper is tricky as previous reviews. Other than that good fit and style. Love knit fabric at wrists. Don’t understand jackets with open arms as you loose so much warmth there.

I'm 5'8' and it come to mid-thigh. It's warm and puffy not flattering. I ordered a medium and it's way too big. I'm a size 6 in pants and dresses. I'd say there medium fits US size 10-12? Which is really a large. Also the zipper does not move smoothly i foresee it breaking. I'm returning.

This jacket is good for feel like 25 or below (with T-shirts and light knit sweater.) Too hot if it is 32 degrees or in and out of car/store/public transportation. I prefer the Mighty jacket. Another hand zero degrees or below is perfect (with a long sleeve t-shirt and a light sweater.) But if that much cold, it needs a much longer length jacket. Hood keeps warm without a hat, but it's a bit heavy to carry, so overall OK jacket. The Navy is very gorgeous. Dark night color.

This is a nice, packable jacket that I ordered for upcoming travel to changing climates. Unfortunately, the fit was not good for me. I liked the length, but it seemed that the waist came up too high. I think that it would work well for someone a bit shorter (I am 5'8", 142 pounds). I returned it, and am purchasing one of the interchangeable jackets as an alternative.

The jacket fits true to size and is very flattering. Many of the Columbia jackets fit me tight through the hips but this jacket does not. The hood has a flannel lining which I do not care for but it's not a deal breaker. That's why I gave the jacket 4 stars instead of 5. I purchased this jacket in the Dark Nocturnal color and it is a very nice navy color.

I originally bought this coat (Navy, M) in early Jan. Immediately when zipping it up, I could tell that the zipper wasn't going to last forever, I was a little disappointed, but I needed a warm coat (live in the midwest) so figured it would do. Within a couple of days the zipper started to stick - I couldn't even do it up - but other times it would work without incident. I spoke to Columbia and they sent out a replacement for me. This one seemed great, but within a few days the same issue - not as bad this time, and less often, but there is something wrong with their zippers. Other than that, great coat. Wore it in the pouring rain yesterday and I was dry and warm throughout. I'm 5'4" and 150lbs - M fits great.

I enjoy everything about this jacket. It's thin, not bulky but still keeps me very warm. However the jacket is a lot longer than expected or wanted. Be sure to check the models height and compare

I L-O-V-E this jacket. My one problem is the zipper. I have trouble starting it because it has a zipper that works from the top and the bottom. If I don't start it exactly right, it won't zip. Sometimes it takes a few starts!

I really like this jacket. It fits really well and is cut nice so you don't look like a box. It is warm and I love the sleeve cuffs that keep the wind out. It isn't bulky which I really love. The 1 problem I have is the zipper. It's a double zipper which is great for giving more movement but, they don't zip easily. I always have a bit of a struggle trying to start the zipper.

I am regularly a small in most women's clothing. I ordered the small and it was very tight in the chest and arms. I could not lift my arms very high because it was so tight. I returned and got the medium and it fit much better!

I got this jacket because I wanted a lightweight winter jacket that was not super bulky like my down coat. I also really like coats with the handcuffs and thumb holes so this was an easy choice. My first Columbia coat arrived with threads loose in the stitching on the sleeve, and Columbia was able to mail me a replacement with free overnight shipping. The replacement seems to work well in the week since I got it, though if you have single-digit weather or below zero I would certainly recommend layers. It works fine for 20 or 30 degree weather, but like other reviewers say, if you are not very warm when you put it on it may take awhile for you to warm up as your generate more body heat over time. If it is very windy you will need a scarf because the neck does not go up far enough to cover your face. The hood material is very soft and warm and could replace a hat if you want, and I like the soft warm material in the pockets so I do not always have to wear gloves. The interior chest pocket is also pretty big and fits my wallet, phone, and lip balm when I go out.

I am really enjoying this new jacket for running errands and preschool drop offs. I am 5'8" and 155 lbs. with a large chest and the medium fits well. It would be a little snug if I wanted to wear a heavy sweater, especially in the arms. But, I bought it mostly to be a car coat & for running errands. For me, Columbia coats are the best because the sleeves are always long enough. I find other outdoor brands the sleeves are too short for me. The green color is very attractive. I would've given the coat 5 stars, except my only complaint is the zipper is a little stiff and hard to zip. Probably just because it has very small teeth, but it's a bit clunky to maneuver. Sometimes the collar kind of pokes you in the neck, but I'm thinking it just needs to be worn in a bit.

Nice jacket! I really like the material and the overall size. It isn't too big, but just big enough to provide warmth. The sleeves are my favorite part because of the change in material. Soft and cozy! The only issue I have is that the zipper is a little stubborn and sometimes has issues catching. Other than that, great jacket!

I've been looking for a great, water resistant winter coat without the bulk. In reading the reviews, it seemed pretty split on whether this coat is "warm enough" for cold winters. For context, I'm in Maryland, but from Wisconsin and went to school in Minnesota, so I know the -25 F winters! Pros - lightweight, fits true to size, perfect length (right above my knees), water-resistant! Cons - I've worn it down to 40 with a ton of wind and I'd have to say that I was a bit chilly. (but I wasn't cold). I'd definitely need to wear a much warmer sweater underneath in colder temperatures. I will add that the reflective lining does seem to repel/retain your body heat well and as you are outside longer, the coat feels warmer. **I would definitely buy this coat again, but we will see if it is my long term winter coat after this year.

Mom loved this, but the trunk of the coat is tighter than expected. Could be worn easy with layers but probably not a baggy sweatshirt.
