It's hard to believe a good company and good product would have such a cheap zipper. It needs to be bigger and more durable.

I used this product for myself. if there is XS size, I will be very happy about it.

I like the jacket, but I don't love it. I find it tight around the shoulders and it can be very restrictive when driving. I bought this instead of a snowboarding jacket to save money and that was a mistake. The inner lining jacket is very tight around my midsection and about as tight as the fully assembled jacket. Only other thing to note was that the right pull string didn't have a knot tied on the end of it, which caused the string to be pulled inside the outer jacket. I managed to get the string back in and tie a knot myself.

I have had this Jacket for a month now in Michigan and it is great for this area. It's warm enough for the freezing temps and breathable enough for the above freezing temps as well. It is lightweight and comfortable. The velcro on the cuffs is too narrow and takes more effort to line up then it needs. The inner jacket and outer shell move around when you take it on and off. The cut makes it not very conducive for a wide range of movement. I would not recommend this jacket for out door sports like skiing or sledding because of this but is great for general cold weather use.

6ft 1in 38waste and 210 lbs got LG. Sleeves were short and Jacket was tight in the back. Restricted movement alot. No insulation in the hood. The liner sleeves pulled out with my arms when removing.

Like a number of other reviews, this jacket was tight in the arms and across the shoulders when moving my arms. The restriction was evident when making turns while driving or doing nearly any movement close to shoulder height or above. Even just putting the jacket on something felt off with the jacket. After a couple of days of wearing the jacket it was clear the best choice was to send the jacket back.

The process for ordering the jacket was Unsat. I ordered the jacket for my trip to Germany and paid for expedited delivery. That didn't happen until I called customer service and still my jacket didn't arrive on time. I actually had to go to the fedex myself to II I my jacket up.

I was very disappointed with the quality of this jacket, which is my first North Face jacket and also my last. Less than 2 months after I purchased this - and before I even put it in the washing machine - the outer shell developed holes in BOTH side pockets. I can't put change in either pocket, or it will slip through and move all around the interior of the jacket. I called customer service just after 2 months had passed, and was told that I would have to send it in to be repaired under warranty, which would take 6-8 weeks, and I would also have to agree to pay $50 for the service. Very disappointed in the quality of this jacket. I always thought that North Face had a reputation for being a quality product, but I was very disappointed.

I really wanted to like this jacket, to replace my 90s NF mountain jacket which I love. However, the hood feels cheap and was so big and thin with a slightly heavier visor, it drooped over my eyes. Needs more inside pockets. Sleeves also too long. I'm 5'6" 135 lb, so maybe I just need an XS rather than a S, but sadly, NF doesn't seem to make it in that size.

This jacket has a nice weight and provides good warmth. Also protective against wet weather. Problem is the inside pocket linings ripped on both pockets quickly. So unfortunately I am unable to provide a better review on this item.

Love this jacket but I seem to be in between a small and a medium. The medium's sleeves are way too long. The small sleeves are perfect, but around the waist is snug. I'm 5'10" 160 lbs.

I cannot believe people are saying this is a warm jacket. If you live in the South where the temperature doesn't get lower than 35 degrees this is the jacket for you. Do not buy as a winter coat.

Less than 30 days and the interior pocket of the shell tore at the seams. Customer chat was less than helpful, wanting me to go out and spend more money to send a damaged low quality product back to them. Not sure how I am supposed to pay more because something was a bad product.

Small, cheap zipper that was tough to use from the onset. After 4 months of use, the zipper has failed pulls apart; and now I cannot undo it. Tried with needle nose pliers. Needless to say, a bad situation for cold, windy weather in Wyoming! And a new jacket at that! I've sent it to Northface for repair. We'll see what they do!

North Face should be embarrassed to produce an expensive jacket with cheaply made, totally unsatisfactory ZIPPERS . Come on, North Face, back to the drawing boards. Shame on you!

Received this jacket as a xmas gift, and by early February the inner lining had begun falling apart under the arm ... where it looks as if the fabric failed. My wife did not buy the jacket from TNF , and the retailer did not have any TNF winter coats in store, having starting their spring stocking. I contacted TNF support and was told the jacket could not be brought in to a TNF retail store (say NYC) for exchange, and I would have to ship to the company for a 4-6 week evaluation. Given the choice of not having a coat for the rest of the winter, I simply got a refund and bought a new Patagonia ... Please read the above carefully and make your decisions before purchasing this product.
