The Altier Jacket is excellent for all weathers: the shell is breathable enough for warm Fall days (and cold and rainy Summer ones) as well as warm and cozy for the chilly winds of Winter and the persistent rains of Spring, especially when paired with the puffy inner jacket. It has a lot of utility as it is and I always discover something new (like the hood laces locks around the neck). The only complaint would be that there aren't enough pockets: especially an inner one in the inner jacket is missing in my opinion.

This is such a great product. Combine this with layers and it will take you deep into the winter. The amount of pockets is great, and the fit is perfect. The hard outer shell comes about two inches further down than the insulated Down jacket, which was expected given winter jackets are usually a few inches longer. I've taken the down jacket out and wore it as itself and it is extremely warm. Add another layer of air between the down jacket and the shell and you're toasty warm. The cinch cord is on only the hard shell, which is a bit upsetting, but makes sense because it's longer. It'll trap your heat and keep snow out regardless.

Rainy weather, hiking in cooler climates and most recently on the coast where it was cold and wet. Perfect for all climes.

This jacket is amazing, it's extremely comfortable and very stylish. I wear this jacket to the office and also wear it out and about with friends hanging out. North Face makes and incredible product, this is the fourth North Face jacket I have purchased and I am always extremely satisfied.

This 3-in-1 promises to deliver this winter. I am a nature/scenic photographer - to get the winter pictures often means sacrificing personal warmth. Not any more. Thank you TNF for having this jacket.

My brother bought this a year ago and the price was high for me so after lusting after the jacket and scowering for alternatives for a whole year, I'm very happy to have finally bought this. Trust me, I've done the research, cheaper alternatives are just not worth it. This jacket is certain to last you a lifetime!

I'm glad North Face is offering a true red Triclimate jacket again. I bought it in August so I haven't had a chance to test it in the cold weather yet. I'm 5' 10, 210 lbs with an athletic build and the large fits perfectly.

I am in Germany and this jacket is good for all seasons, I have snowboardered using this jacket and it kept me very warm, no slow or dater has ever breached the jacket. My only complaint is that I haven't gotten it sooner! Outstanding waterproof and windploof exterior and warm and comfortable interior! Outstanding looks and feel! Best jacket I have ever had!

Great jacket, specially for commute. Sleeves are a little bit long, but it is fine.

Nice warm coat that offers 3 different style coats in 1. I really enjoy the chest pocket as an easy place to store my cell phone.

I am 6' 3" and bought size L, the jacket fits me but the arms are just until my wrist. The jacket arms should be 1 inch more so it would perfectly fit me

Nice jacket. Warm! Not crazy about the finish on the outside fabric-has a bit of shine. Some features on my 10 year old jacket seem a bit more refined.

Its pretty darn warm! The down part of the jacket is warm itself. Coupled with the jacket shell, it feels like it's a very good deal. For fits sake, I'm 6'1", 205lbs and I bought a medium, which fits well and still has a bit of room to wear a layer of another snug north face jacket underneath. The one thing I would change is the jacket came with a funky smell. I probably would have exchanged it but I didn't notice the smell until I took the tag off. It took quite a few dryer sheets and putting baking soda inside before the smell went away.

Looks great and keeps me relatively warm. The shell could use better fasteners, it always separates when taking the jacket off. Kinda annoying

Great for brisk winters and fall. Love that there are two jackets within one that can be used for the fall and for the winter. The jacket works well for the wind and the cold, however, I havent had a chance to try it yet for the snow or rain for the testing of the water repellant feature. The only thing I dont like about it is that it can be a bit restricting with the arm movements for driving etc. when you have both jackets combined into one.

It really works well for the wind and the colds in the northeast. I love the fact that there are two jackets in one, both good for the wind and cold, one for fall and one for brisk winter. Havent it tried it yet for rain/snow yet for the water repellent. The only reason I am labelling it 4 stars is because it can be a little tight around the arms when you are moving around, shoveling, or sitting in the car and driving etc.

My grandson really likes this jacket. As his Grandmother I would have liked it to have been heavier as it didn't seem like it would keep him all that warm. He will have to bulk it up when he goes skiing.

Love the down liner and fit was good. It's why I bought it. Kept me very warm snowboarding, but just didn't have the features I'd like in a snow sport jacket, i.e. extra pockets, taped zippers, snow skirt and cloth or something around the mouth cover when fully zipped. Perfect jacket for being in the cold and snow, just not perfect if you intend on shredding the gnar. I exchanged for the eco thermoball triclimate snow. Haven't tested yet, but seems more like what I need. Just wish it came w/ the down liner too...

This is the second tri-climate type of coat I purchased from Northface. I still have the first one after 13 years. I really like the way the insert fits and the coat is warm despite it's light weight. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a multi-use all season jacket. Perfect color too.

I got this coat for my Bf so he can walk my dog in the Michigan winter. Nice material, color and it keeps him warm in the 20s degree. He loves it. Only one thing he doesn't like is the hood. It's too thin and easily fall off. Wish it was better.
