Waterproof and warm. Loses a star because the hand pockets aren't lined with felt or some type of fabric like my prior jacket. TNF cutting corners a bit.

Great jacket for moderately cold weather (greater than 30 degrees). Warm, light weight and comfortable.

Staying warm is the name of the game. This fits all aspects of the "BRR" feature. Well made and should last barring rips and tears.

The Jacket is quite lite and very warm. Already recommended couple of my close friends to go for it. It's worth the money. Also just want to highlight that the outer shell may feel that its not totally wind resistant but after wearing for few weeks in ChiTown(the windy city) I can say its ok. Although I would highly recommend NorthFace to see if an upgrade with better wind resistance can be made.
Overall I would say go for it and enjoy the winter

I've only had this coat for a couple weeks, but it's great so far. It looks great, fits well (5' 10", 175lbs, Medium size), and is very comfortable. For temperatures in the high 20's to low 30's (F), I can wear this with only 1 layer underneath and I'm fine. Below that you'd probably want a second layer on. This is probably due to the inner shell being pretty thin which is probably my biggest grip with the coat. They use good quality down for the insulation, but there's barely any in it. If they were to increase the fill a decent amount this would be a 5/5.
My other complaints or rather wishes are first, the hood not having any insulation. I wish the inner shell had a hoodie or detachable hoodie to help keep your head warm. Otherwise the hood on the outer shell is really only good for blocking wind and precipitation. My second issue is that the main pockets do not keep your hands warm at all. I wish there was a way to access the inner shell's pockets from the outer shell, maybe just a second set of zippers just inside the pockets that would open to the inner shell. That would at least give them some warmth.
Otherwise this coat is great and I definitely recommend it!

Bought this for my 26 year old son. I gave 4 stars because he loves the jacket's style and the functionality of the 3 in one. The two drawbacks so far are that the hood is too large and has no draw strings, so it falls down unless he holds it up with his hands and the zip-out lining/jacket has VERY little down filling. He just started wearing it and so far he has not had any issues with the zipper. I may update this review after he has had it longer and has worn it through the winter.

I bought the medium which is a smidge too big in the chest for me (though I'm thin at 6'1" and 160lb). Sleeves are fine in length for me. VERY warm and comfortable. Have worn in sledding in 15 degrees F and stayed comfy. Haven't worn in too much rain yet so no comment there. I read some negative review about pockets not being lined but they're totally fine. Actually make it easier to tap your side and find which pocket your phone is in :)

Everything is perfect about the jacket, except the hand pockets doesn't have a liner. So you'd need to wear gloves to feel great.

I didn't expect to like or keep this as it was a gift. After trying it on, it fit and looked great. I wear it around for running errands (we live in Minnesota) but also for snowshoeing and winter hiking (when it is particularly cold). Overall it has exceeded expectations which were admittedly low, but it really is a good jacket. My only two knocks are that if you are just walking on a very cold day with wind (below 10 F) you will need layers underneath. Also the zippers feel cheap. They haven't broken but I don't have confidence in their durability.

This is my second 3-in-1 Triclimate jacket. I've worn these jackets from Hawaii to Iceland. The jacket is great for all conditions. It can be worn with a business casual outfit for work, and taken on a trip across Europe. The outer layer folds up and can be stuffed in a backpack and takes up very little space. But once you put on all layers with a sweater underneath, you're warm enough for cold winter days.

I ordered this for my husband for a trip to the States. He found it very warm and comfortable. The only issue was the head piece. It did not cover the head or ears tightly enough. Anyone buying this for very cold weather wear get a Tam as well. Once he had the Tam, it was fine. Men do not usually like bulky jackets. This was not bulky but still warm.

I think it's a great jacket just fit a little big. But other than that it's very comfortable and it gets the job done.

Great jacket. I tested it in 18 degree Michigan weather. Very warm and extremely light. My only two complaints are the zippers seem a little flimsy but that could be for design purposes (the jacket looks great and fits even better). I also noticed a small seam tear in the armpit of the liner. This will give me a chance to try the ' exceptional' customer service I've been reading about.

Very well made feels nice and high quality. Please fix the top of the jacket where it meets your neck. Too thick and hurts to look down. Other than that the jacket is nice.

Ordered XL but just a bit to large. I tried on a L at local ski shop but it was a bit too small. Seems TNF doesn't have a jacket that fits me well. Great product, wish I could have found right size. (6' 0 220 lbs)
