This coat is warm and comfortable. Unfortunately, the style makes me feel like my hips look huge!

Fit oddly and was not flattering. Unsure if a smaller size would work better, but had to return it.

Pretty and well-made, but poofs out too much below my waist making me look very “hippy”, which I’m not. Sadly, I have to return. I’m 5’6” 127 lbs and I ordered a medium.

I wanted to love this coat! I love the color and style, but overall it was just too large- too long, too bulky. I'm 5'3", about 105 lbs. and the XS was really overwhelming on me. (The XS in other North Face jackets has been better.) I think it's a beautiful coat, but the scale was just too big for me.

I want to love this coat but the fabric stains/scratches so easily. I have the taupe color and after only wearing it barely two months, I have a long scratch in the fabric and a dark stain from water!! The zipper also doesn't like to zip easily some days. Would recommend because I love the fit and style but not the taupe color.

My husband brought my me a ThermA ball in medium and it was a little too big, he used the size guide. Once I got it I wanted it to fit tighter, I Returned it to the store and ended up gettin this Gotham Parka 2 (small) in black. I really like this one.

Did not like the styling of this jacket. It was gathered in at the waist in a way that made it flare out too much at the hips. Did not look attractive on me. I'm slim so shouldn't have been an issue.

This coat is 550 fill, I also have a 600 fill, but there is a difference! Still suitable for very cold days and the length helps. The coat is very cute. If you have long arms, find in store and try it on first. My sleeves just fit .

Everyday wear

Nice material but had to return it was way to small on arms and didnt zip but I have a northface that's xxl and it fits this one doesnt run to size

LOVE THIS JACKET. ITS VERY NICE BUT THE LENGTH IS TOO LONG FOR ME.

I ordered a size small and I am 5'4", 35 inch bust & 35 inch hips. I have other TNF items in size small. Light gray color is beautiful. The coat fit fine in the bust with light layers underneath (long sleeve t-shirt and thin merino zip jacket), but the tapered waist felt too snug and when flexing my arms, the sleeves were too tight in the elbow. The tapered waist also made the coat look strange. The toggles at the hem-line were very uncomfortable (top of thigh).

This seems like a very, very warm coat. It is gathered at the waist & it was kind of big on me so it was more like it was gathered at the hips & looked funny. If it fit you right, this would be very warm & could be pretty stylish. Seems like it needs to be tried on.

I don't fit in any size... small fit perfect from waist to down but little unbreathable from chest ....Medium is loose on me... I love the looks but it didn't fit me in S Or M size.

This jacket is well made and as advertised BUT it has a pouchiness at the stomach where the zipper gathers for a waist sinching affect. Would work just fine if wearer is undressed underneath! I am 5’2” 129 pounds and ordered a medium which was too snug at the waist.

This is very warm but makes me look like I gained 20lbs. I’m going to look for one that isn’t so bulky.

I was excited to order the new taupe color when I saw the camo lining in one of the images and disappointed when the product I received didn't have camo lining. You should remove that image from the product page to eliminate confusion.

I love the idea of a northface coat that goes in a bit at the waist, but this coat juts out sharply from the waist giving it an odd shape

This jacket is nice and light but not insulating for walking around in sub 40 degree temperatures. I returned this jacket for a thicker parka because this model was simply too thin to keep me warm

Love the coat but hate the fit at the waist

I love the fit and the detail on waist, but I've had troubles with the zipper,it get stocked easily with fabric, I bought it in grey color and it gets dirty easily ( and I'm a really careful person) . I wash it 2 times already and the feathers don't get back in place

I selected this jacket for my in-laws to give to me as a gift for Christmas. I love love love the fun print and so wish it fit better. The arms fit strangely short, and I don't have particularly long arms (I've never had a problem with jackets before). It's a little snug on the body (though admittedly, I did gain a little weight recently), but that still shouldn't impact the length of the arms (specifically, while the fabric is long enough, the elastic cinching is approximately 1 inch higher up, making the sleeves FEEL shorter than they are...annoying. And then when I extend my arms, the sleeves are well above my wrist bone). I want to exchange my jacket for the Large, but is is no longer available in the color I so dearly love. A total bust of a gift, and I was so looking forward to this jacket for the cold winters in Boston!

Love everything about the coat with the exception of the pocket zippers they stick and this makes them hard to use. I washed the coat as per the directions and there is now what looks like "oil stains" in one localized area causing a darkness so I am now arranging a return and hoping this is a one issue and the replacement will be fine.

This jacket was given to me as a gift in size medium. In nearly all places, I buy my clothes in a size medium, however this jacket felt tight across my shoulders and hips. I ended up returning the jacket and the only reason for not repurchasing was finding the next tier up parka in stores at a local vendor. I greatly enjoyed the style and the length was great. It didn't restrict knee movement or walking other than the tightness across my hips.

I wish it had snap closures so I didn't have to bend way down to zip it every time I go outside! Otherwise I love it!
