I thougt like this would be revolutionary giving the marketing for this company. But a classic wool sweater or even a blend is way better than this fleece.

A plastic zipper is unacceptable on a shirt that price with an expected quality. I own the previous model, the Lorum, hoodies and none hoodies versions. They are one, if not, the best mid-layers I have ever own, the quality of the fabric, the design, the longevity is top-notch. When I saw the new model I thought I would give them to love ones this Christmas. I am very disappointed when I got to try the Kyanite hands on.

Angenehme leichte Jacke fr alle Aktivitten. Besonders praktisch fr drunter oder als leichte Jacke wenn es nicht ganz zu kalt wird.

I have two of these jackets one blue and one black. I wear them every day when the weather is suitable. So comfortable and the zipper goes up and down easier than any other zipper on a jacket.

Exceptional fleece. Forms fitting, sleek, ultra comfy. I hate to say it because I've been a die hard fan of Patagonia for years, but this blows the R1 out of the water. Will pick up the hoody soon.

Wanted a versatile jacket that could be used in the colder months, as well as chilly evenings when hiking. Whilst it is warm, I found it wasn't great at heat regulation, something that my Delta LT does brilliantly. Unfortunately, I had to send back my first jacket after a day because it had managed to get a hole in it on my walk home, no clue how. Never really felt the same throwing it around. Zipper was also weak and kept on unzipping. Not to mention, there is pilling on the lower back. If you are looking for a versatile jacket, I would definitely go for a Delta LT over this (used in 20 degrees c. with a t-shirt and -10 degrees c. with just a baselayer and hardshell) I would reserve the Kyanite for either lounging around or something like ski touring or climbing (would probably still choose the Delta LT over this though). If you run hot avoid at all costs, go for the Delta LT instead, you won't regret it.

I love this product. I found it to be true to size ( I do not like that slim fit -tight feel ) , well made and the perfect weight for layering. I like it so much that I just purchased a second one of a different color for my wardrobe. I almost forget to mention that it breaths well.

This is a really lovely mid layer. I personally find it too warm for any real activity. The delta zip i have is a way better choice for skiing or running, but for everyday activities this top is very comfortable. The EXTREME stretch makes it comfortable for whatever movement while reducing bulk because it fits closer to your body. I love the outer fabric because it slides inside any outer layer so it doesn't feel like another layer. The zipper is a bit weird and I read that people had trouble with it lowering on it's own, but mine doesn't. It does have a "hitch" around 3 inches from the top, but it doesn't bother me much.

Great fleece, warmth to weight ratio is perfect. The collar is a bit big, so it doesn't close around the neck, but that is a minor issue. Other than that it is a really great fleece for layering or everyday use. I'm 6'2 and 220lbs and the large was perfect.

I wanted a mid layer jacket to go under the Beta AR I recently purchased, and the Kyanite was my first choice to match up with what is undoubtedly a fantastic outer shell. I read some reviews related to the zipper coming apart, and I dismissed them, until I went to the store to try on the jacket. I was surprised that a company that prides itself on top of the line, quality materials would let a zipper like that slip through the cracks. It is plastic, and feels and acts like a zipper that you would find on a kids hoodie from a discount store. Unacceptable. I wasn't going to shop around, but was forced to purchase a competitor. The designers of this jacket need to do themselves a favor and replace the zipper as soon as possible. I paid more for a competitors jacket made in Europe that had a metal zipper that did exactly what it was supposed to. To clarify, I am a huge fan of Arc'teryx and own several pieces of clothing from them. They make comfortable, good looking clothes typically from quality materials. I hope they make a simple change to what would otherwise be a great jacket.

Very good quality and an excellent fit, warm and very stylish, Dark Moss is a really nice colour different to the blacks and greys I normally purchase. The only niggle is the material snags easy and pulls, but other than that would definitely recommend it.

I was very excited to receive this jacket. The material felt incredibly soft and the stretch in the material allowed for a very comfortable fit. When i put the jacket on i noticed that it fit very well and was very flattering. This is why i gave it a three star review. However; I then zipped it up and decided to wear it around for a bit to see what i thought while outside. I noticed that the zipper kept moving down just while walking. It usually stops at the top of my stomach. I decided that this is just too big of a flaw to ignore and decided to return the jacket. If it had a better zipper that would stay in place this would be a perfect mid layer jacket in my opinion.

This is one of the best mid-layer fleeces I have ever purchased. I have tried several from top competitive brands but this is the best of all. First this is a fleece I wear every day. I put it on in the morning and usually wear it all day. Its very warm, it doesn't pill like a lot of other fleeces on the market. I like the smooth exterior finish and the softness of the interior finish. I throw a 150 / 200gm merino base layer underneath and I am set or I have also put it on by itself after jumping out of the pool. Its lightweight, not bulky and the trim fit keeps your core very warm. The (2) hand pocket are set at the perfect height and easy to access. Also the internal pocket will hold my IPhone 7+ and is perfect size. I am 6'5" and weigh 185lbs with a tall lean build. The only upgrade I would make is instead of the hem being a straight horizontal cut, I would change it to a drop back hem to avoid any waist creep during activity or bending over. Overall same high quality and expert sizing you expect from Arcteryx.

Love this Jacket! This one fits true to the typical Arc athletic fit. The jacket really moves with you with an incredible amount of stretch. It is much warmer than I had expected for such a light and thin piece (About double the thickness and warmth of the Adahy) The Jacket is super soft but still durable thus far. My favorite part is the thoughtful design of the pockets, they have a soft face against your hands but really let you vent excess heat when unzipped as the pockets extend all the way up into the chest/neck area, genius! This, for a fleece, ranks right up there with my Atom LT for midlayer bliss! If I was forced to add a negative or wish for this one it would be the 'no slip zip' zipper bump stops could be a tad more aggressive. That's not to say they don't work but under heavy movement I do experience some zipper movement. Not enough to remove a star, A++

Received this as a Christmas present and was really happy. It's comfortable and lightweight, yet very warm for the weight and thickness. It is possibly a touch short as I prefer a slightly longer jacket, but honestly this is a very minor issue. I got the black version as I'm not much of a fan of the other options.

My new favorite to wear around home, or under a Thorium SV for a walk on a really cold day. The Kyanite is soft and really comfortable. I used to live in a Covert pullover, but the Kyanite has become my new go-to layer.
