I picked up the Kyanite at the same time I purchased a Covert Hoody. Both are phenomenal, but have their distinct uses. The Kyanite fabric is much more of a soft fleece material. It's somewhat stretchy, incredibly comfortable, and even though it's lightweight, it is deceptively warm. Indoors, worn casually, I often find myself having to take it off due to overheating. It's a great layer to use over a t-shirt and under a shell, and I'll often wear it under my Gamma MX on winter hikes in cold conditions (-10 windchill or lower) and stay warm. In warmer weather, it's a great standalone fleece that's not just comfortable, but looks great. I truly can't say enough about it, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another (I actually did buy the hoody version as well). You'll find yourself reaching for this fleece every time you leave the house. For a sizing reference, I'm 5'8", around 165lbs, athletic build, and a medium fits perfectly.

Just picked up this piece. Weather cooled off a bit ( Saskatoon,SK) - the Kyanite was just perfect with a a t-shirt indoors this weekend. Multifunctional, fits nicely to layer with my shells for outdoors and the extra length in the back is cozy warm.

I bought this for use as a mid layer in cold weather or as a stand alone in less extreme conditions. I`m 6` 1" and 15+ stone with long arms and when I tried it on in store the fit was almost perfect and the material seemed ideal for purpose. However in use unless I do the zip right up it unzips itself quite easily, which is a nuisance if I warm up and just want to half zip it up to cool down and negates all its advantages for me. For this reason I cannot give 5* or recommend it in this price bracket, which is a shame as it was almost perfect for me.

I really love this jacket. I really like to travel with it b/c it is so versatile, perfect for a chilly plane, and soft and comfy enough to lounge around the house or hotel. Haven't taken it backpacking yet, but I bought it for that and think it will do great as a summer evening layer.

I have been looking at this for a long time with a hood, but purchased the fleece jacket instead. I'm totally happy also since the color dimma wasn't available in a hooded jacket. Dimma is a very dark purple color that I love! Light enough to layer under a shell or use as at work inside. I got a medium although almost ordered a small. For reference, 5'6" 148lb with broad shoulders. The medium is comfortable and looks fitted.

This is my second Kyanite jacket and is a great midlayer for winter and cool shoulder seasons. I am 5' 8" 152lbs and medium fits well apart from sleeves which are slightly long but can live with. It fits nicely over a base layer or t shirt and layers great under my atom LT hoody. It is lightweight but despite this is a very warm jacket and I consider myself a chilly person. No slip zips work well, collar is just right and pockets good. Feels great on, has worn well and I am really pleased with both of them.

I love this jacket and wear it all four seasons living at high altitude in the Colorado mountains. Perfect for any outdoor activity and a great layering piece. It washes well and no shrinkage with low heat drying. I also have a Kyanite hoodie. They are both my go to jackets. The medium fits perfectly on my 5'6" #125 frame. There is a slight "hitch" in the zipper a couple inches from the top but it isn't troublesome. Well worth the money.

This is a great all round jacket. If you don't know what weather you are getting into fall or summer it is the perfect jacket.

I love this jacket. I have two different colours and everyone in my family has one. We have a few with the hoods. The hoods are great fitting, not too big and bulky. The unhooded one is great too. Just the feel of the material had me sold.

I love the jacket lightweight mid layer is perfect for varying conditions when layering is a must. It fits nicely over a base layer (or two) and allows ample room for a shell jacket over top. The Iliad color looks great. The material has a nice soft, cozy feel to it, without sacrificing quality and function. The only complaint is the sizing. I'm 5'9" 205 lbs, I needed a large because for the chest size, but the sleeves are too long. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if Arc'teryx offered more options in sizing, such as separate options for chest size and sleeve length.

I was amused to read that Arcteryx has a trademark for the No Slip Zip on the Kyanite Hoody. I think the trademark should actually be called The Slippery Zipper. I can actually unzip this jacket without using my hands/fingers. And the hoody's zipper is even worse than the jacket's zipper. I can stretch my arms back and the zipper unzips nearly all the way down. The jacket is useless if the zipper doesn't stay put. If it weren't for the dreadful zipper, I could give this jacket 4 or 5 stars. I don't like the color options. The men seem to have more and better color choices. However, I liked the nice slim fit and coziness of this jacket. I'm 5'10" and appreciated its somewhat longer length in the back. I took my usual Acteryx size medium. I can't comment on the durability of the jacket since I haven't worn it and can't keep it. Please Arcteryx make this jacket with a better zipper because I'd love to purchase this jacket if it came with a zipper which stayed zipped.

I live in Hawaii, so there is little need for a warm jacket, except for winter mornings when the temps dip into the low 60's. The weight of this jacket is perfect to keep me warm and is flexible and incredibly comfortable. So I don't even know it's on!

Have been using this for two months... daily commute to the office and the occasional tennis game. I use it with the Gamma MX. For the price, not recommended. The fabric pills! My wife and myself own Arcteryx jackets and bags. Always happy until this. A letdown.

I bought one of these at the start of last season. I like it so much I purchased two more for this season. My preferred mid-layer fabric is Polartec fleece and this is the best implementation of it I've found. Fit - For me a good mid layer surrounds my neck but neither strangles it or is loose. The fit in this accomplishes that. It's very lightweight for what it accomplishes. Plays well with other layers. Durability - Best I've found for this type of material. I ski most days in the winter so really appreciate that. Last year's jacket saw about 70 days and shows no apparent signs of wear. Appearance - Personal but really like how it looks on. This is a quality piece that will hold up to frequent use.

Perfect for layering, perfect for stand alone use. Most comfortable piece I wear. QUESTION: I own two Kyanite jackets. I want a third in grey (can't find this color). How would Delta LT compare across the board? Thanks for responding with feedback.
