Didn't feel as good as my previous fleece ,a bit lighter. The fit was different also . The sleeves are longer in a bad way . Otherwise it's fine.

Breathability, fit just right. I love the design of Kyanite since it looks solid but still give me the warm I needed from fleece material.

Worse jacket ever bought , its peeling everywhere on the jacket , its 2 months old , you can't sell this to people for that amount of money in my opinion .

This is a great fleece jacket. I can wear it on its own, or under another jacket. The fit is much better than I'd expected. I got a 2X and it has to stretch a little to fully accommodate me, but it doesn't look bad at all. For context, I'm 6ft and 265lbs and prefer a pit to pit of 27 inches. If you're looking for a nice looking fleece, I'd recommend this one.

There is a person at Arc'teryx who made a decision to change the material in the Kyanite Jacket. Until I have confirmation that person is gone, I will not buy another product. The pilling is unacceptable.

Very disappointed in this jacket. Had the version prior and by far the best piece of kit (fleece) I had purchased. I do not know what changed but the material is in no way the same standard.

Worn once, washed once, fabric is awful. Significant pilling all over after being washed ONCE. Contacted customer support since obviously this is unusual, but they said this is normal.
Do not buy this, this material is not durable whatsoever.

Really disappointed. The material gets all kind of dust, lent, crumbs on it and it is difficult to get it clean without washing it. The jacket is baggy around the mid-section. Quality overall isn't great. Not worth the money--not even close, sadly.

I wish I had consulted this review section before purchasing! I had such a great experience with the Kyanite lightweight jacket - stylish, comfortable fit and amazingly durable fabric - that I decided to add the mid-weight jacket for colder weather. Assumed same name, same fabric. Clearly an unfortunate assumption. Look and feel is similar but the pilling on the sleeves that others have observed is very frustrating. Unless you like tufting on your clothes, I strongly advise you save your money. Love the brand. Sorry this product is so disappointing.

I own two previous Kyanite jackets and this new material has ruined such a good jacket. As others have stated the jacket pills up with the new material.

Was excited about the look and the weight of the jacket. After 2 washings and hang drying, the arms are pilling. I have had several pieces of this brand and they have lasted years, but not this piece. Not quality material

I have a Kyanite Jacket that's a few years old now and this new one is a much better cut. It's trimmer and more fitted and I like the different material on the back of the collar to make it stand up.
The problem I have with this jacket, however, is that after only a few weeks it has started to bobble, and these are bobbles that can't be removed that easily. They don't come off with a lint remover. I have bought lots of Arcteryx gear over the past 15 years and it has always been spot on. My old Kyanite Jacket has nothing wrong with it, I'm afraid the material used in this current iteration just isn't up to scratch.

I've had two of these jackets and been very happy with them. I also have a Kyanite gilet - again happy. However, I have just received my third Kyanite jacket, and the immediate disappointment is that there is no inside breast pocket, which all the others have had. It may only be a small thing, but I use it constantly and must find somewhere else to keep the stuff that usually goes there. Why change?

I wanted something that wasn't as "techy" as a lot of my layers, but that still could cross over, should I need/want to layer it for an outdoor mission. The Kyanite Jacket nailed it! The fit is spot on (5'11", 185 lb, broad shoulders). I like the casual styling, but it'll make for a great layer when winter comes. Nowadays, it's perfect as a standalone piece for crisp autumn evenings in the mountains of southwest Colorado.

Diamond black is actually dark blue! Thin, warm and super comfy. Well done Arc'teryx.

This keeps getting better and better. The collar is finally right. Stands up with out flopping over or being awkward.
The stratus color is a very nice slate blue hue. As usual it's very soft and comfortable. It's cut just right for layering.
Warm, light, and breathable. Nothing else to say!

I've had the kyanite fleece since 2020, it goes everywhere with me up every Mountain in the Lake District & around town or city.
The age old saying, buy best cry once buy cheap cry every time. There's nothing to report on wear all the stitches are fine zip still works it's not miss shaped.
Every now an then I run a sticky roller over it to get the fluff off with cheap fleeces if pulls away the fleece also over a period of time you can se through the arms this just hasn't happened with the kyanite.
If you are thinking about getting a kyanite don't you won't regret it.

I had bought a size L some while ago and while I like the jacket found it somewhat large on me. I do have other Arcteryx jackets and vests and large fits pretty well. So I thought the Kyanite, for some reason, fit larger than the norm. So I bought a size M. It was way small so I gave it to my wife. This large gap between M and L makes no sense. Nor does the fact that the Kyanite L fits so big.

I want to start by saying I own 13 pieces of Arc'teryx gear. They are all 5 star quality. The Kyanite is the bitter exception. The fit is excellent but the fabric feels like delicate sponge & the pilling is unacceptable. At best it will be worn as a mid layer to protect it from contact with just about anything. It began pilling from contact with a draw string. I am at a complete loss where the damage across the back came from. This jacket was purchased on January 14th and has been worn four times. It's that bad.
