Oh Brooks, how could you? I have had about 8 pairs of addiction, various models since 9 or so. It is the only shoe that keeps my plantar fasciitis from coming back and looks good; actually it's really the only shoe I've worn for years. However, this new model represents a major turn for the worse. The sizing is too small. It would be fine to order half a size up if that were offered for sizes above 13. The extra padding is annoying and hot. I thought maybe if I squeezed into them for a while the fluffiness would just compress, but instead it has slowly gotten jammed down the backing by my heel, making the shoes fully unwearable. They feel cheaper and lower quality than any brooks addiction I've had before. If you're on the fence, I say don't buy. Brooks, please go back in time and fix this! (Zappos, you were great as always.)

Sadly, the Brooks Addiction 13 lost whatever made the Addiction 12 a great shoe. Felt uncomfortable from the beginning and got worse as I ran. Toe box seems smaller and cushioning feels thinner. By my third run, I was having difficulty walking afterwards. By contrast, the Addiction 12 was comfortable out of the box and stayed that way through 350 miles. Sadly, I'll have to find a new brand and model of shoes.

I have been wearing these since the Addiction 10. I should have bought multiple pairs back then. Brooks was a superior shoe great fit and great arch support. The model 13 is not the same shoe it used to be. My toes were cramped. The shoe was tight across the arch. I tried the Beast hoping that would fit better, but no, same problem. I am wondering if this pretty expensive shoe is going to loose its customer base by screwing with the fit. Brooks fix this with the model 14 and go back to sizing shoes for American Men's feet. You don't sell 4EEEE to men with small petite feet.

This is the third pair of these that I've purchased. Brooks feels the need to upgrade the model on an annual basis, as if you're getting a new and improved version each time you spend $140. Ridiculous marketing scam. This new pair is extremely uncomfortable compared to the pair being replaced. Also, after 3 weeks of moderate wear, the right shoe has developed an annoying squeak. I'm very disappointed with these shoes and will move on to another brand when I next purchase athletic shoes.

I walked around the house for 15 minutes in these shoes, and by the end I was wondering whether I had angered the shoes because they were causing me so much pain. Maybe they work for someone, but the sides of these shoes dig into my feet and hurt. I was wearing them with over the counter orthotics, so maybe this wouldn't happen without them.

Walked a dozen paces in them and my feet and arches hurt so much I had to wait a few hours before I could evaluate the other shoes in my order. Maybe it's just that they're so much too small (same size I've worn in other Brooks models including a previous Addiction, but who knows - I don't understand why they use the same model name when it's a completely different shoe. The new Beast doesn't much work for me anymore either and I loved an older version of it!).

It feels tibht and bottom very stiff.

Toe box cramped. Money wasted on fast shipping. Lesson learned .

Very small!!

My husband has been wearing Brooks shoes for years. He usually wears the Beast but the latest model has been a huge disappointment. They are not as comfortable and not as durable as the previous models. Since he has extremely wide feet and a low arch the selection of footwear are slim. He decided to try the Addiction 13 since he knows Brooks fit him. Wrong. He said the Addiction felt like it was felt narrower and smaller that the same size Beast. Since they don't make them any wider they definitely not for him.

I ordered my usual size 11 and the EE width. My foot is of average width but I ordered these for a little more room. The toe box on these was so small! Not only were they not roomy, they squished my big toe and were unwearable. Even if I had ordered up a half size the shape of the toe box would have cramped my foot. The rest of the width on the foot felt like a D, not EE. Good looking shoe, but it's going back.

Zappo's Shipped what I ordered, and I ordered a size bigger than what I normally do because of reviews. These shoes were WAY, WAY, WAY to small.
