They dont feel like running shoes but they do the job. Straight out the box, they feel like pillows. As you run in them, your feet get hot due to the friction between your sock and insole. I wouldnt buy again, I would probably go with a lighter shoe. These shoes feel like walking shoes even though the website labeled them as road running shoes

Every year for the past 5 years I have purchased the newest Brooks Ghost model. I also have had several pairs of Cascadia.. So I am comparing how much I love the Ghost to this Addiction shoe. The Addiction is comfortable, but does not have the structure support in the fabric that I anticipated. I have relatively flat feet, and need extra support right at the arch. I could wear my Ghost nd Cascadia shoes for 18 hours a day and not have sore feet. The Addiction shoe falls short in comfort and after about 6 hours of wear, I have to change shoes. I'm thinking that it has more to do with the loose fabric than the bottom sole support. The styling of this shoe is nice.. It is roomy in the toe box where I need it, and light on the feet. I believe that Brooks are made with high quality materials that last. I wanted to try something a little less expensive than Ghost, so I bought the Addiction. BUT, the Ghost is one of the best shoes I've had,, that I think I'll just end up buying another pair of them.

This shoe doesn't have as much cushioning as the Dyad 10. I have had the Dyad for over 10 years but I thought I'd give the Addiction a try. I didn't like it as much.

I absolutely love the shoe. It fits great and gives the support I need for my feet. I gave it a three star rating because the first pair I of Addiction 13's I purchased seemed to develop a crack or a break in the inner sole portion of the shoe. When walking on hardwood floors or other non carpeted flooring it sounded like I was walking on 100 year old loose planks. The shoe cracked and creaked so loudly that other people would look around to see what was causing that noise. I've worn Addictions since they were just, well, Addictions so I guess since the first versions. These 13's are the only ones that have exhibited this problem. Some of my older Addictions are still in service as "work" shoes and they have not developed these noise issues. Again a great shoe for fit and function but something in the 13's must be more brittle than previous editions.

The max size was 12.5B . I have always purchased a 13 B. For some reason the B choices are now limited. Am getting callouses on tips of toes because of shorter length.
