Really liked the shoe, but my toes hit the front of a size 12 when that is the size I normally wear. Felt more like an 11.5. Wanted to reorder a size 12.5, but it was out of stock.

I actually sent them back. I did not find them comfortable at all, honestly. They run small, and the sole does not have much cushioning. I’ll keep looking..

First, thank you ZAPPOS for your easy return process and policy! 6'3" 235, size 15 4E here and trying on shoes at the local running store is a waste of time. They don't stock them in my size. My first Brooks were Addictions which I enjoyed, and they held up really well. However, I did buy inserts for them to help with cushioning. Few years later I bought the Beast after reading reviews. The Beast did not need the cushioning inserts...really comfortable well built shoes. I was going to reorder the Beast, but both styles had been redesigned since I last bought. I also wanted to try the Adrenaline which was recommended for me on Brooks' site shoe finder. The Adrenaline's are much lighter than the Beast and Addiction. Comfort and cushioning are similarly excellent on both the Adrenaline and Beast, so I went with the Adrenaline's. Time will tell if they hold up as well as my old Beasts. Thank you Zappos for helping me get the right shoe.

Too heavy for running and honestly dont think they provide the superior cushioning claimed. Returning for a lighter brooks.

I like the shoes a lot, inasmuch as they drastically reduce to the point of nearly eliminating the foot pain I get due to pronation problems. Certainly if you have a narrow foot, flat fleet, and pronation issues, they are good for that, and I've been a fan of the Addiction line for a long time. The problem is that these seem to be much more shoddily constructed than the 12's were. I've had my pair for six months, and the shoelace holes at the top of the shoe are starting to tear, which is annoying--I certainly would have hoped to get more use than that out of shoes this expensive, but I'm going to have to replace these 13's much more quickly than I used to have to replace my 12's. So, bottom line, they're good for the type of feet of they're supposed to be good for, but they have some shoddy material problems, so be ready to replace them.

I wore these shoes around the house for 15 minutes and knew they weren't right for me. My toes were sliding into the front of the shoe, my left arch was starting to hurt and the shoes weren't wide enough. I've worn several Brooks shoes and the issues with this shoe puzzle me.

Fairly comfortable. Even after ordering a half-size larger than I normally use for other brands, I still have a bit of big toe friction on one foot, but it is quite minor. I'm satisfied.

Very attractive shoe. However, my toe rubbed against the material, even though it was the right size/fit.

These black color Brooks Addiction 13 are okay. They are well made ad light. I don't like that the shoe laces are like 6 inches short and are rather smaller than usual for lacing them up comfortably. The other part where I think that they could improve was the arch support. They feel rather average and hardly have a good support on them. As for the sole, it is sturdy and feels pretty comfortably. If I were to re-purchase these shoes though and had the option to pay their worth, in comparison with other Brooks tennis shoes and other brands that I have owned I would pay maybe $90.00 for them, and not the price of $140.00.

The shoe is just ok in comfort/fit, but ugly. I got EE even though sometimes D is sufficient yet still my pinky toe felt pinched. These shoes are big as barge yet don't feel extremely comfortable. I won't be sticking with the Addiction line. Note I'm reviewing the Addiction 12 here as it is no longer available for review on Zappos.

Much shorter than advertised. Need to size to ½ to 1 full size. Put beside my old pair of Addiction 8s and they're noticably shorter. That said, the cushioning is amazing, the stability is rock solid, and I tried to talk myself into just keeping the short pair instead of going through the rigmarole of exchanging. It was horrible having to go back to my 8s after having worn the 13s briefly. If Brooks is going to arbitrarily change sizings, a note would have been appropriate. If not for the sizing, these would easily be a 4.5.

Shoe fits fine, since I ordred one half size up (12 1/2, and I'm normally a 12 wide), and ordered an extra wide 4E. So, based on previous customer feedback, I nailed the size. Shoe is very attractive, but it's dogone heavy, comiong in at 17 ounces. I did not realize what a difference that makes until trying the shoe on. An average shoe runs 13 to 14 ounces. So, please be advised of the weight. If you walk as many steps as i do (miniumum of 20 thousand steps daily), this weight difference is significant.
I'd also recommend:
Asics, ordring 1/2 size up, and a 4E in width. I also like Sketchers, with memory foam.

For some reason these made the outside of my feet hurt. I have very wide feet, that is why I buy Brooks, but for some reason the Addiction walkers I recently purchased are far more comfortable and supportive. Would be great if they would expand the toe box even further, shoes should be shaped like feet right? Never could understand why shoes are made for skinny people, I even had to stop playing soccer as a preteen because none of the shoes fit me anymore. In my opinion the entire shoe industry is a subtle form of eugenics (as well as defeatist acceptance of our lives being mostly on paved surfaces).
I'd also recommend:
SAS men's sandals, Red Wing King Toe, non-existent extra wide minimalist shoe

These were great until I noticed they were ripping out on both toes less than two months of minimal use. ?

Usually I order a narrow B width from Brooks. But the Addiction 13 I received was much wider than previous narrow width Addictions I've ordered. Have you increased the width and if so why? You seem to be defeating the purpose of offering B width shoes if they are no longer truly B width.

Soles that were advertised as soft are hard as a brick and parts inside the shoe rub blisters on the top of my feet and toes.

No where near as comfortable as the Addiction 10's and 12's. I've worn Addictions since the 8's were out and the 13's kill my feet, ankles and knees. The 14's are coming out and I'm going to try a pair. Supposed to be better.

I miss the Addiction 11 and 12; the 13 just sucks in comparison. I have been scouring the internet for a new old model. Brooks shoes are amazing but the lasting quality is very poor, need to replace every 6 months. Now I have happily paid that for years because of how helpful the shoe is for joins especially plantar fasciitis. Not buy another pair of addiction 13's though. Too bad.

For many years I have been wearing the Beast and switched to the Addiction, since the Beast is significantly higher in cost. I purchased a pair of Addictions and was surprised that the heel area had worn through the black outer covering exposing the white underlayment and also felt that there was concurrently a reduction in support. This wear was noticeable after a month or so of use, and I only use them for daily walks, of 3 to 4 miles per day, then change back to other shoes. I contacted Brooks running and explained what had happened and they where kind enough to send out a replacement pair at no cost. I have been wearing the replacement pair and the same wear is occurring. I may have to step up and pay the higher cost for the Beast, and hope the wear is better.

Fit is a tad too short although I thought it would wear in to right size. But, wearing them a full day the tops of my feet hurt. Tried another pair of Brooks and will return as I don't trust them.

Had to send them back, unfortunately. I got the EE and it was the same width as my Adidas D width. Also felt half size small. Pinched my big toe.

I am not happy with the lack of cushion in the heal of this shoe. I should have bought the Brooks Glycerin, which I love.
