Only kind of sneakers my husband will wear. He is flat footed with wide feet and these have been the best shoes so far.

I've owned several pairs of Brooks Addiction. These simply differently. I already tended to go about a half size higher, but with these I needed to go up another half size. In addition, I needed to get these in a wide. I usually am on the border between regular and wide and go with regular. But with these I definitely needed a wide. It took me three tries (thanks Zappos), but I got it right. 1/2 size wider, at least a 1/2 size longer is what I need.

My husband has foot issues and needs orthotics to help! These shoes are the best he has tried so far. He puts his made to fit orthotics in them and it works great!! Thanks again Zappos for your selection of hard to fit sizes in both men and women's shoes!! Not to mention the overnight delivery and easy returns!!

Husband was looking for a shoe with good cushioning to help with shin splints. This shoe was the winner. He usually is a 13 - sometimes larger depending on the shoe. In this shoe the 14 fit him. (they don't make a 13.5 so can't say if it is running half or whole size smaller)

Was a little short in the toe box. I had to order a half size longer. Great shoe, excellent padding, very comfortable. Does not hurt my bunions, which is a rare find.

Feels great after wearing a few times. Little stiff out the box. Good shoe.

Likable shoes that ran true to size. I didn't keep them. My intention was to replace a pair of Brooks walking shoes which I can't seem to find and which I thought was this pair would be a decent replacement. I'll have to keep looking.

I am a fine furniture maker on my feet 12-16 hours a day on cement. I have some overpronation that the shoes seem to correct. These shoes give me 3 months of comfort and break down from there and my knees start to ache. I keep trying different shoes but seem to find myself back with Brooks. I just tried a pair of high-end Asics and sent them back (easy to return with Zappos). Kinda feel bad sending shoes back. I always order a 1/2 size bigger when I order Brooks. Shoes and they fit well.

The fit is good regarding length and width. However, I feel the shoe is a little short in the heel. Time will tell how these shoes work out.

I have worn Brooks for over 8 years now - I have been accustomed to ordering larger than my normal size in other shoes; however, it seems that two things are occurring with the line 1) the arch support is becoming less (I have flat feet), 2) the sizing is not as comfortable I will this time most likely purchase inserts and shop for another brand in the future

Works for me. Enjoyed for the last couple of years. Previously wore NB but they don’t work for me anymore.

Fit as expected. So far very comfortable. Didn't give 5 stars because I haven't worn them that much yet so I don't know how they will do over time.

The reviews I read of the changes in this model (13) made me hesitant to buy this after happily wearing nothing but Brooks Addictions since 2001. I'm happy with the shoe and here to buy another. There is extra padding at the Achilles tendon that replaces the pressure-relieving notch on former models. The padding initially shifts your foot forward, making the shoe feel too short. My local store suggested ordering a half-size larger because of this, but that was a mistake: the shoe was too big. After a couple of wears, the padding compresses, but you have to get past it. I am waiting to see if I get less wear from heel slippage - blame that actually goes to B-width heels on EE-width feet. If so, I would give more stars. I use soccer-lacing techniques, but this area always wore out first on prior models. I'm hoping that for me, the extra padding is an improvement. The ventilation in the toe box is also very good - my toes are crusted brown with trail dust every time. Motion control and moderate arch support seem unchanged. (I still use inserts for more support.) The sole is unchanged, something I was hoping would improve. If you run on wet pavement, the design is great for diverting water and providing secure footing. But I do dusty, rocky desert trails, and large sand/small gravel gets embedded in the tight grooves in the sole. I try always to take them out before coming indoors, so as not to scratch the floor. That's why I'm back here - to buy a second pair for indoor use.

I have only worn Brooks Addiction for the past 6-8 years and go through about a pair every 3 months...I would agree with another reviewer that they seem to have gotten "cheap" not as thick on the bottom, seemingly less arch support...the felt tends to roll sooner on the pad...overall I haven't found a better option but I have gotten less happy overall with them.

In addition to them being what seemed a good fit, my husband commented that they had a nice sturdy but comfortable feeling inside.

Fit great when you first put them on. They don't have much give though so if your feet swell after walking a few miles or standing on a hard surface floor then you may need to take them off for a while.

Size was right and felt great except for the arch support. Too much arch support for me.

Listed as black (ebony). They are an odd shade of charcoal gray. Fit good, likely comfortable long term, but not much to look at. Had to send them back..

I was looking for running shoes with support and ended up buying both the Addiction 13 and the Beast 18 recently. They both provide great support, but the Addiction 13 is tad small and less comfortable than the Beast 18 especially in the toe box. So I would recommend the Beast 18.

I bought it but unfortunately had to return it. Shoe size with them appears to run 1/2 inch too small. So my size 12 in every other brand I've ever tried is too small with them. However I went to a place and tried on a 12.5 in the same shoe from Brooks ad it actually fit decently. So be aware of that.

Seems like a good shoe, but it was at least a half size too small. Returned.

Quite honestly, I’m disappointed in the Addiction 13’s and have been trying to avoid buying them while waiting for the Addiction 14’s to be released but after waiting well over a year and w/Brooks introducing so many other new styles I felt it was in my own best interest to buy the 13’s while they’re still available because it’s not looking good for the 14’s to be introduced anytime soon. Phew ... after all of that, let’s get down to particulars. The shoe still provides great stability because of the full outer sole and I truly appreciate that aspect. I’m totally flat footed so I MUST HAVE great arch support and not the arch support that hurts but the kind that supports and that’s what I’m used to w/Brooks Addiction. At least I was until now. Like I said, the stability is still good but the arch support, not so much. I like the fact that it fits a little snugger on my foot so I don’t feel like my foot is swimming around and thereby causing issues w/my ankles but the arch support is definitely lacking. I’m quite certain I’ll be removing the insole and replacing it w/my own arch support insole in another week or so and I’ve owned these shoes for less than 2 weeks!! All in all, the shoe I sent alright but not great and for $130.00 I want great! I’m still wishing and hoping for the release of the Addiction 14. Fingers crossed!
