Quality jacket, well made and warm. Be aware sizing runs way small, even using the sizing guide.

We love this jacket so much for our two boys we repurchased. So versatile and from full 3-in-1 (warm, light, non-restricting for my very active ski/boarding kids), nice light puffer for day-to-day, water-resistant shell with hood for rainy season. Not a pain to convert, zippers are solid and easy to work with. Washed countless times, shows minimal wear. No weird scratchy/tight/flappy parts to bother my one picky kid. We buy a bit big, got 2-3 years wear, they still look and perform great - great value. Comment to design team for 2018: REALLY miss to top-opening pockets that doubled on top of side-opening pockets...they were excellent for stashing items kids may accidentally pull out and drop, as happens with the side-opening pocket. One star off for this change, I know it's not-picky but it's a biggie for us. Minor, but logo is much nicer stitched vs. the stamped plastic, seems contrary to brand quality.

I bought the jacket for my grandson, he likes it. While I was ordering on line, only the grey has the size for him. As a kid, colorful coat would be safer when walking on the street among the traffic.

Great jacket for my grandson living in San Francisco -travels to Boston and Minnesota to grandparents during holiday season. The shell is a great rain jacket, the two pieces together for skiing and the inside jacket for cool San Francisco weather. Well worth the investment. This is the second 3-1 North Face I have bought for my 4 year old grandson, he has been getting two full years out of each one.

This is a great jacket for my son. Bought a size bigger than what my he usually wears. Insulation is good for the winter and water proof. Love this jacket.

This is the perfect coat for my six year old. He can wear the shell on rainy days and add the puffer when it's cold. Great for the mountains too with the dual layer option!

It's comfortable but not tight around the neck so you need scarf

My son loved his new jackets from the North Face. It keeps him warm aND protected from all the elements.

We usually get the Apex soft shell- but the size wasn't available for my son. I am very pleased with the quality of this jacket- it is just a lot thicker than what he is used to!

Great quality & warm jacket but seemed a bit narrow as the size M did not fit my child who was the same size as the model in the video. Will have to go up a size.

Everyday on the Bay Area local news I would hear that El Nino was going to hit big. This year I refused to be cold and drenched due to sideways rain. I love this jacket! It works perfectly. It has a rain resistant coating but doesn't smell like plastic. The inner shell and (surprisingly) the outer shell feels very soft when I wear them. And at first, I was worried about that bright orange color but not anymore. There are so many drivers that speed and run red lights here that I think it's smart to have them see me when I cross the street.

Was looking for warm, waterproof jacket at reasonable price with zip close pockets for my 8yr old son. My son had to have zip close pockets to keep his hot wheels cars safe when he carry's them around. This is a great jacket so far, it'll get a good test first snowstorm here in NY.

Can be used during both the winter and the fall with its two layers . Warm and water proof

A little pricey

My son wears 10 and 12 sized clothing. The medium (10/12) fit like a 6/8. He loved the colors, but it will not be warm enough for skiing.

We will be returning this coat. While it insulates well, even in the Swiss Alps, it weighs our son down and he does not like the coat for that reason. It is the outer shell that is to blame- NorthFace might consider redesigning it.

The product was just what I ordered and great !!

Ordered for my eleven year old son. Following the size chart he would be a medium, however the medium fit like a small (6-8). It had to be returned.

Would have loved for my son to wear this jacket, but it was huge on him. Body and sleeves way too big.

Bought this coat for my son because I figured although a bit pricey, I knew North Face had a great reputation and it would last a long time. Wrong...it lasted maybe two months and less than five wears. The zipper puckered so I took it back to the store. Now I'm in the horrendous "lifetime warranty" send off so my son is without the jacket for a minimum of six weeks. Had to purchase another one and went with Jcrew for less than 1/4 the price of the North Face and it's just as good. Don't waste your money on North Face, it no longer has the quality and customer service that made them successful in the first place.

What I liked was the powder dirt but the material would just keep on ripping. Bought 5 or 6 of these because of that rather stick with Canada Goose because of its material and warmth. My son loved the Canada Goose but not the Boundary.
