What would make this shoe ideal & worth every penny of the price would be if the design incorporated a cushioned piece of quality material between the "waist" arch/instep and the insole. The gap between the two creates an uncomfortable ridge that is fatiguing after a point. It would be wonderful if future versions of this sandal included the above design improvement.

Ordered these based on the many good reviews. I am always looking for a comfortable supportive sandal- these were not it. I was relieved they didn't work because of the high price and because they aren't at all attractive shoes. I will sacrifice both for comfort. But these were not even comfortable.

Not enough support. I ordered shoe in 2 sizes 9.5 M and W. Have bunion on right foot, shoe was a narrow fit in the M , landed with only one spare hole. If my foot swelled in summer heat the shoe width would not be adequate. The W was too wide and too much shoe. The arch support was ok, feel the M runs bit too narrow. In Alegria I take a 39 (9.5) Verona. I prefer a firmer sole and felt insecure walking in shoe even though the cork should have provided a more solid feel when walking. Had to return both.

I've been wearing SAS shoes of all styles for over 20 years now. Since I moved to Florida, I can now sport all of my SAS sandals almost every day of the year. I love the Relaxed sandal and it is probably one of the most comfortable sandals I've EVER worn. My only issue is with the snakeskin style in linen color. It doesn't take too well to getting wet. Most of the top of the shoe has darkened considerably in blotches due to being forced to walk through a flooding parking lot. I wash all of my other Relaxed sandals with no discoloration at all. The snakeskins have discolored due to getting wet and I can no longer use them for anything other than knock-around shoes for home wear.

The Relaxed sandals are the best I've ever worn. I own them in black leather, black patent and blue snakeskin. But you CAN'T CLEAN the cork insoles on the snakeskin sandals! This is a huge issue. I can't afford to keep replacing the snakeskins, so I probably won't be buying them again...even though I LOVE them! Come on SAS...get rid of the cork insoles!

I am still not sure I will keep these. They are very soft and a comfortable foot bed.
The problem I have is, I do not usually order a wide shoe but this time I did. I sometimes I wear an ankle support and thought I could use a little more room. I found that these look wide, but they do not seem to fit any wider than the M.
I had to let the straps out two notches
And that surprised me. It may be just my feet, as you know we aren’t all built the same.
The jury is still out, I may decide to send them back. Bummer!

This is a well made USA sandal but the style did not work for my difficult feet. My foot kept sliding forward no matter how I adjusted the 3 straps and my big toe was hanging over the front edge of the sandal.

This shoe is a little old fashioned - if the straps were thinner, they would be much cuter. I can’t say enough about the leather - it feels like butter, really! The red pattern is so cute. But unfortunately, the shoe pitches forward and felt really uncomfortable under my foot, and also didn’t feel like much support. So, they’re going back...thanks Zappos.

Cute and looks comfy - but these run REALLY wide. I have wide feet and usually need a wide width, but because of some reviews I read, I ordered both a medium and a wide width to try in this shoe. The medium was too wide, and the wide was falling off my feet.

Once on my feet, these looked like giant, inflatable toys. They are hot and way too bulky. The length is fine - I'm usually a 9 and this was right on. Messing with those big bulky buckles was a huge pain. Just not for me.

Leather was soft but the footbed was hard. Felt like I was walking on cement.
I needed to downsize 1/2 when I increased with.
An 11WW ended up fitting.
I had to return because they aggravated my planter fasciitis.

My feet went numb after a couple of hours of wearing them around the house. They fit well and run true to size. Arch support was not nearly enough for me. I thought this pair of expensive SAS shoes was going to do the trick, but I was wrong and will return them. Back to Birks!!

My feet swell up and I don't know why. They are new fit good but after an hour my feet swell up and I feel like I'm walking on bumps. Crazy never had a sad shoe mess me up.
