I bought my second pair of these sandals because they are the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I wanted to buy the snakeskin sandals but, when I tried them on at a store, I found that the cork insole in them is much firmer than the non-cork insoles and does not offer the same feeling of support and cushion. I was disappointed because the snakeskin sandals are beautiful on the foot.

Thanks to another person's REVIEW: I figured out why the 2018 Relaxed feels different to me. Another reviewer who has worn SAS Relaxed: wrote about what she felt were changes in the "Feel" of the footbed VERSUS 2 or 3 years ago. I could NOT figure out WHY this year's Relaxed (in snake skin with "cork" looking insole) DID NOT FIT like my old ones from 2015!! Almost ALL of my shoes are ordered through Zappos, but I found a pair locally (Relaxed: snakeskin - not yet listed on Zappos). Last Summer - I had tried SAS Relaxed in "Linen" Color. I just assumed that my feet were TOO HOT that week and that I could find a better fitting sandal. I have used my 2015 pair for "House Slippers" (& also good IF having a foot problem). I DID NOT remember my FIRST pair of Relaxed bothering me when they were new. But......last week after bringing ANOTHER pair of Relaxed home: on the 3rd "try" on the kitchen floor: they were NO longer comfortable. Something is NOT the same as in my older (worn out) pair: The Footbed feels firmer (NOT in a good way & I can wear Chaco's) AND my pinky toe is being squished (even on the LAST hole on strap). When I placed the 2015 Relaxed next to the 2018 Relaxed: there was a difference in the thickness in the exposed foam footbed. Everyone else's feet might NOT be as sensitive as mine. Almost every Reviewer IS still VERY happy with their SAS Relaxed. Well....Happy Shoe Hunting.

Found these sandals very comfortable and the adjustable buckles helpful for my wide toe box. I needed an 8.5 rather than my typical 9 for the generous length. Beige color had a shiny gold cast in the light, which I didn't like. Returning.

These shoes looked really comfortable with soft, padded straps. But they were too wide all over. My feet are very wide across the toe and arch but not heel. Adjustment at heel couldn’t go tight enough to keep these on my feet.

The rust was more of a coral shade which doesn't blend as much with other colors.

Ordered my normal size 8.5W and the fit was okay. Obviously it is a well-made sandal with quality materials. I would describe the arch support as moderate. The denim color was very nice and would have gone with a lot of things. The reason I returned was I found the sandals to be too heavy and a bit bulky, and couldn’t see myself doing much walking in them without leg fatigue, so I returned.

The quality is good, I didn’t like the style as much as I thought I would. Feels and looks like an orthopedic Birkenstock.

Shoe is very comfortable; however, I could not get the shoe on without unbuckling the buckle and it was too painful with my arthritic fingers. Sadly, I have to return.

As with the other SAS sandal I tried, not enough arch support for me (I need quite a bit), and the fit was awkward (too short in front, too long in back.) Keen was good for support but irritates my bunion.

The fit and size were perfect. I'm a size 6M and I ordered a 6M and perfect fit. The sandal is comfy but the color isn't the dark brown I was looking for....it's more of a milk-chocolate color. Also, on my foot, the sandal looked a little clunky on me. Highly recommend if you're looking for good fitting, comfortable, high quality sandal - actually has buckles...no velcro!!! Yay!

Size & fit were good. Just couldn't take the metallic blue color! No other color was available in my size.

The shoe style is great. Have many pairs over the years and they last a long time and I love the style. I wanted a different blue but after contacting the company , they do not make the color I wanted, in wide, unless you pay a good amount extra, to have it done. This blue is too fuzzy and soft and I do not think it could withstand any water, even a little rain .

These were so comfortable and were literally like walking on air. I was so sad to have to return them, however, because I recently developed a bursitis kind of tendonitis on the back of my upper heel, making it painful to walk in them. I now realize I now have to only wear backless shoes, at least in the near future. If that condition heals, I will re-order these sandals immediately without question.

Nice sandals, but the strap on the left shoe isn't long enough to get in the buckle. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return them.

These sandals feel comfortable immediately. The buckles allow for the perfect fit. Where I have to draw the line, for me, is the minute my left foot gets a little warm the shoe makes a, well, very unladylike sound when I make a step. Help!

I know EVERYONE else loves their SAS Relaxed and other Zappos Customers never complain about being too snug OR rubbing for 1st Summer wearing them. I called SAS and decided to order a 1/2 size longer then my OLD SAS Relaxed. ( I have 1 pair of "woen in" soft footbed + a newer Snakeskin pair with CORK footbed) Not sure IF I will even bother trying a Wide? I basically want the Relax to wear at home for slippers, getting the mail etc AND with SOCKS in Winter. I have Wide toes, Narrow heels, a high instep. I need a firmer outer sole to keep my Morton's Neuroma from bothering me. Not sure If this helps anyone: but in a Medium Width: it is as if the edge of my big toe & edge of my Pinky Toe as riding on a raised edge (not as drastic as a Birkenstock). Over time, your foot sinks in a bit. Also where the upper edge of toe strap is sewn OR glued in - the insole is NOT flat. These are great IF you can wear them out of the box.......but obviously, I can not longer do that!!!! Try them if you want nicely padded straps with multiple adjustments.

Undecided as to IF I will keep them. My old pair of SAS "Relaxed" (also in Brown leather) is SO much cushier in the footbed & sole. The old pair has nicer leather. Not sure IF I want to go through the discomfort of breaking the straps in so they do Not press on my pinky toes (even though it is WINTER and I won't have puffy feet). I think that the sandals (or materials) MIGHT have changed! My oldest pair is 5 years old. When I bought a snakeskin pair WITH cork footbed: I thought the STIFFER feeling came from the cork (and was told that by SAS when I called). They also were not comfy until the 2ns Summer I wore them and were NOT great to wear all day! I basically want a "house slipper" that I can add socks to for winter. I have Wide toes, a Narrow heel & high arch & high instep. I know that almost everyone raves about SAS. Many years ago, I wore their lace up and sandals.
I'd also recommend:
Altra, Keen, original Chaco's, Vionic, Alegria,

The lining made it too hot for me. The heel was too soft and aggravated my plantar fasciitis .

I have FIVE pairs of SAS's Relaxed Heel Strap Sandals: Amber, Red, Black, Natural, and finally this beautiful multi-snake navy. However, since my size was not in stock, I ordered this last pair without trying them on so I was unaware they changed the material. I was so excited to get them because I loved the color, but I have never cared for the feel of the new cork-like material I walk on! I rarely wear them because they're just not as comfortable.

Well, I purchased these, so similar to the Cozy sandals I have had for 4 years now. The Cozy is adjustable for the problem bunion on my left foot. So sad these will not work, the buckle over the toes I put at the widest "setting" and it pinched my bunion area. :-( Plus I got pain in the arches. I have had plantar fasciitis in the past year, that has faded, so I was hoping to find a similar shoe to wear "out" in the hot months. No go..have to return them.

Well made shoes. However,I wish you had made them in a 12 AAA. I have a very narrow foot. You have a lot of shoes I like if they would only come in 12 AAA.
