I wore these shoes for years and loved them, but New Balance changed the material used for the "straps" (not sure how else to word that). They no longer stretch out on the sides the way they once did. I used a shoehorn hoping that would help, to no avail. In the end, I just gave them away. I'm disappointed.

These shoes were exactly what I was looking for with minimal barefoot shoes except they run about a half size too small and way too narrow!!! I ordered a 6.5 wide and I’m usually just a plain size 6 and I don’t have wide feet and the width was more narrow than any shoe I’ve ever owned and this was in a size wide! I still wear these shoes but I get marks on the side of my feet because it’s too tight I’m hoping they stretch. But just be aware that you need to order half size up and get the wide but even then it’s still pretty narrow

I hate these shoes and wish I'd returned them during the return period. They are uncomfortable and cut into my foot in various places, so I have to wear taller socks. The bottoms haven't worn well, the grippy bumps are almost worn away and I really haven't worn these very much.

I really liked the look of these, but the fit just wasn’t right. I’m a size 5, usually 5 1/2 in sneakers. Lengthwise they fit fine, but super tight on the top, even with loosening the laces.

The fit and size are right on, but there is something in the upper lining that bothers the top of my feet. It is as if it is not folding down correctly. I can't wear them because of this, it hurts after a bit. It don't know if this is a defect in this particular pair, or in the design. They are comfortable otherwise, and I wish I could wear them.

I love everything about these EXCEPT they are not true to size. I am a solid 9.5, and my toes were crammed right up to the edge. I prefer a minimal shoe, and have been wearing merrell barefoots, but I needed something with a thicker soul so these would have been perfect. I am so disappointed :( I planned on ordering a size up but now everything is out of stock!

My foot is a b width but other New Balance was narrow, so I went with wide. Glad I did but 9.5's were still on the small side so back they go. Too bad. Nice looking and good semi-fitting shoe....just a bit too short in length. Cannot wear socks at all. never had this problem w any New Balance I have ever owned.

With most shoes I'm fine with a 8.5 med width. I ordered these in a wide width to ensure I have extra comfort. They were tight! And if I were to wear thick socks with these, the shoes (my regular 8.5) would be too small as my toes were practically at the end.

First, I was looking for American Made sneakers. New Balance claims to be American made. These were not made in America. They were really small. I ordered a size up and wide and they were still snug. They had almost no insole? They are cute, if you don't care about comfort or where they are made.

I ordered this shoe because I'm looking for a less structured shoe, but I don't run trails; I run on streets. I didn't realize this was a trail shoe when I ordered it.

The reviews all said the style ran 'large' so my husband gifted me a 10.5. It was like wearing the box, and a full inch longer than my toe. We'll see how the 10 is, but this type of shoe needs to fit snugly.....

I really was excited when I got these sneakers. They are light weight and not chunky (which is an issue for me with size 12W foot!). They fit fine but after walking in them for less than 30 minutes I got a blister on the back of my left heel! I couldn't feel anything rubbing but I was very disappointed to have to return them. I'm so grateful for the Runlimited Guarantee promotion. I love New Balance so I will continue to look for a light weight sneaker for my big foot :)

I had the old version which are now 7 years old so I needed a new pair. I don’t think they are as comfortable as the older ones and are much more stiff. I like the style better and I’m sure they’ll be better after they have been broken in. Good quality overall.

I am an 8 or 8.5 in regular shoes and 9 in running shoes. The 9 Ms were much too narrow (I normally wear M width)— felt tight. I think I’ll stick with my Altras. Too bad, because the NB look more stylish and have a grippier sole.

These are well made, look great, and seem breathable and durable. Unfortunately the sock-like interior and the toe protector are too constricting and positioned in such a way that my outer toes bump against the seam. I'm afraid my toe nails would be damaged if I gave them a try on the road. Very sadly going back. I tried both the regular and wide widths. I would absolutely go with the wides for the roomier toe box. Perhaps if you have longer toes, they won't bump against the toe protector seam. They're worth a try to see as I think they'd be awesome otherwise!

Ordered my normal size of 8.5 but this shoe ran at least a half size smaller. This shoe is meant to be worn barefoot for sure which is what i was looking for. I have a narrow foot and i was surprised how narrow this shoe felt. Wouldve loved to return it for a 9 but it was sold out. Dang.

I liked the shoes in general, the look, the minimal amount of shoe, but the outside of both shoes have a pressure point or hardness to it, that rubs my small toes. Had to send back.

This shoe had some kind of inner construction around the middle of the foot that was uncomfortable. Also ran smaller than expected. I had to return them primarily for the discomfort of the middle of the shoe. It is the style I want but perhaps some other model will work.

I really really wanted to love these shoes. I wore them several times around my house and, ultimately, I decided even with normal stretching after wear, they would just never feel comfortable. If you've worn minimalist shoes and spent alot of time barefoot, the bones in your foot will naturally spread out. Mine are such that "normal" shoes just don't feel comfortable, ever. I just do not understand why the band across the toe box is even there. I ordered a Wide, having had minimus shoes before and knowing they run narrow (which is, again, weird because of the entire concept of minimal footwear). Even with a wide shoe, that strap was so annoying and uncomfortable. And no matter how much the shoes stretch, I doubt that strap will stretch enough. If you have narrow feet, these may work for you. If not, wide may not be wide enough.

Ordered in wide but because toe box is tapered in on one side, felt narrower. Also cannot wear thick socks with this shoe. This is the first time I have ordered a barefoot running shoe that was not Vibram Five Fingers or Merrell. Have now ordered Merrell Vapor Glove - toe box not tapered so should be more comfortable than this New Balance shoe, even though Merrell shoe available only in medium width.

Cool looking shoe, but ran small and too narrow...even though I ordered a wide!

Super small. I have 2 other pairs of this exact same shoe and ordered the exact same size I always have and I could barely put my foot in. Go up a size on these ones. For some reason the sizing is completely off.

I really wanted to love this shoe, and when first trying them on, they felt great. Once I was at the gym, I noticed how tight they were around the ball of my toe. I tried loosening the laces, but the rubber design of the shoe does not allow to loosen. I have the beginnings on bunions, which is why I am switching to minimal and zero drop shoes. If you have any issues with toes, specifically bunions, this is not a good choice. I wish I noticed this before wearing to workout. I would have returned them.
