I ordered 2 pair of these in an 8 and 8 1/2 but only received the 8 1/2 and another pair of totally different mens shoes that I didn't order. I wear and 8 but even the 8 1/2 were 1/2 size too small and squeezed my arch area. I will order a 9 and possibly a wide. I don't have a wide foot but do like the barefoot feel. I'll try again. NEXT PLEASE! These were good quality and can see how they could be comfortable if they fit.

The shoe felt tight right across the toe box, making it really uncomfortable if you have bunions or the start of one.

I think this shoe would work for most people, i love the look and the wide toe box and the light weight minimalist feel. For some reason the heel is really high and hits a part of my right heel that rubs and therefore i got horrible blisters. I really tried to like them but it was too painful and thus had to return. I will say that this is my fourth return in my quest to find running shoes and Zappos returns have been excellent each time. Here's hoping the fifth time is the charm. You should definitely try them and see if they work for you.

Had to return for a bigger size. I ordered up half a size based on other reviews, but it wasn't enough. They seem like great shoes, so I'm ordering a full size up from my normal and hoping that works.

I've had these same exact shoes before and loved them. When they wore out, I decided to replace them with exact same model/style/color. Despite buying the same size, these are WAY too small. I'm hoping they stretch to accommodate, as the tags are already removed. There's a band across the toe box that is very tight and the length is much shorter. I normally wear an 8.5 in all minimus shoes, but should be in at least 9.5 of this one.

I’ve been using this shoe for 7 years now. Running up to 50 mile races and for CrossFit. I’m happy they went back to the old model, but I did have to order a 10W in this where the last few versions I wore the 9w. It is a tad narrow and the heel comes up higher. All in all still a good shoe just need to slowly break it in.

I have a wide foot - and had high hopes for this mimimus shoe - but it was too short and too narrow.

These are made for weirdly shaped feet, like curved inward. My outer toes were crammed against the side while there was a big hollow area on the inside that my big toe was somehow supposed to fill? Picture crescent moons. Also, I am trying to give them a rating and one star = outstanding while 5 stars = very poor. That's not normal.

I waned to love them. But the toe box is so small and the ball so narrow that my normal 8 was squeezing and the 8.5 was too long but still too small in the toe box....maybe an 8 with a wide toe....this would be the first time in my life that ive had to ask for a wide! Nice shoe but runs super narrow!

Love these shoes, was so glad to see the Minimus back in production, HOWEVER the sizes run smaller that the original Minimus =( Unfortunately I am a true 11, so with the smaller sizing I need an 11.5, which they do not make. I tried the 12 and it was too big. Another oddity, there is visible glue at every seam, I just expected better from New Balance.

This is a very comfortable shoe, vert lightweight, breathes. I have a wide foot with a high instep and these were still too narrow for me across the tops of my toes. I also did not feel like they had enough support, they are cute, and I would reccomend if you don't have problematic feet such as mine.

I wore the original Minimus shoes until they were discontinued. Was so excited to see these on Zappos! I ordered the same size of all my old pairs - 9.5 - and found there was barely room for my toe, and they were tight across the forefoot. Still love this shoe, and I'm going to exchange for a 10, but I'm surprised that sizing has changed.

I usually wear Vivobarefoot or other minimalist shoes and I decided to give these a try. Unfortunately, even the "wide" was too snug for me. These definitely have a thicker sole compared to some minimalist shoes and a tiny bit of a heel. They are, however, nice and light. Not quite as flexible as some, but not terrible. I also got some for my older kids to try, and my wide footed kid also found the "wide" to be way too snug, but my kid with narrow feet loved the regular width and we decided to keep a pair for him.

I wanted to love these because they fit so perfectly and felt like I was barefooted! After a few minutes in the house, it became evident that the trim bank at the heal was shredding my Achilles tendon. Within a short time, I had a broken sore. When I took them off it was like that band was sandpaper. Padding at the heel would have made these perfect shoes!

These are like gloves for your feet! I would have loved them if the trimming around the heel didn't rip the shreds out of my heel!!! The material they used has glue or some sort of abrasive on it and even with socks it grated on my Achilles tendon. I'm so sad and even thought of maybe gluing some mole skin or something soft on the heel, but decided to send them back. Does anyone know of another of this type of shoe?

Shoe runs much too narrow and smaller than most shoes of this size.

Bought these to replace my current gym shoes. When I put these on I immediately fell in love with how 'bare' they make your feet feel-very similar to the vibram five fingers but without the toes- which is what I was looking for. Sadly, there is not much of a grip on them when I tested them out doing planks, mountain climbers, and other similar moves that require a shoe with a good grip. There also isn't any support in them for running- but this is to be expected with the 'minimus' build of them. I am looking for something that I can cross train with and don't know that these will do the job so they may be going back. Love the design and lightweight feel though!!

I was so excited that New Balance brought back this line of shoes- unfortunately they run a little small, so I might have to buy another pair 1/2 size up, but otherwise they are great!

I love the look of them they are a running shoe I use them as a go to shoe oh I'm sorry I do run to the truck from the house at times I will be ordering the black I have them in the blue they are great

These shoes do run small. Also there is no room for a custom orthotic in this shoe. Fits like a glove on your foot.

I liked everything about this shoe but it runs very small; I measure size 10 and usually order an 11 or 12 in athletic shoes; I ordered the Maximus in 12W and it just fit. Allowing for swelling, thicker socks, etc. it will be too small so must be returned. Will try a man's shoe.

Loved them for working out, but since the tongue is fully attached I had to order a full size larger to get them on my feet. Very light. Be aware there is no cushioning or support.

Seemed to run very small - comfy and cute, but don't think they have the support that I need.

Great shoe, but I'll be ordering in a half size larger. I've ordered minimus shoes before and 7.5 W fit great. This one is a bit snug. Great shoes tho

The length is great the width is tight where the band runs across the arch area.
