I wear this as a shell during my bike commute most days of the week. The material effectively protects from wind and rain, and while the armpit vents are helpful, they are not sufficient to maintain a regular temperature. An additional vent along the back might provide better breathability.

Med was a good fit for a 69"/194 lbs person. It is not Gortex, so I found my cloth damp under a strong rain. However, it met it purpose under a drizzle or light rain. I am glad NF has a lifetime warranty, for the inner white material will peel off.

Very comfortable and great coat for day to day activities. Only problem is when it starts getting too cold you need to layer under it. With a sweater underneath it is perfectly warm for fall or spring though. Looks great. Plenty of pockets.

This is a good rain coat for spring, summer and fall. It runs large, so you can wear a sweater underneath for colder weather. I also like the color.

I like this better than the marmot precip jacket because it has inside pockets. The hood is comfortable and adjustable. The pit zippers are very very very cool.

Works very well. The vents in the armpits help to release heat and moisture as this jacket is surprisingly warm. Fits well and holds up when pit to real use. It should considering the brand, its reputation, and price point. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend. Wont need to soon though, it is holding up well with continuous use.

It's a nice jacket, especially for the price. However, like others have said the first one I ordered was way too big. I'm 6'1 185lbs and a L was super baggy on me. I'm returning it and hopefully a M will fit better.

Technically its fits, but I like a looser fitting jacket. The Sizing is a hair small to me. The one pet peeve I have is the Zippers are the smaller type but I think most companies are making them that way for this type of jacket these days. That being said I like everything else about the jacket.

Everything about this jacket is just good minus the huge sleeves. The sleeves are too long, the arm opening is too large, and there's even a ton of extra room in the upper arm area as well, making the jacket look kinda frumpy. I'm 6'0 175lbs, and excluding the sleeves, the jacket otherwise fits me rather well. But unless you're incredibly built or heavier set or just have long arms, keep in mind the sleeves are probably going to be rather large/long on you.

This jacket was selected as a warranty item for a similar North Face jacket that was damaged and covered under the company's lifetime warranty. Since my previous jacket was no longer available, I selected what I thought was closest to my old jacket that I liked a lot. This one fits a little bigger. I'm usually between M & L sizes and the L (large) is plenty big to wear layers underneath. I would have liked a little tighter fit but decided to go keep the L. So far I like the jacket a lot.

I like this jacket because it's light weight, though I wish it had more of a variety of colors. Preferably mixed colors.

I'd prefer if the inside lining color were black instead of white and if the hood could be hidden in the collar.
