Comfortable, xl fits a bit big but better that than size down and leave no room for layering

I explained to the company that within a few wears after washing and drying it, the face fabric absorbs water. It has done this since I first bought it. I explained in great detail with pictures how water beads on the surface in some areas but not in others and that they are not applying enough water repellent. I wasn't asking for this but they replaced the first one. I get the replacement jacket and it's the exact same problem. They told me to send it back to them again but they just sent it back to me saying that "according to (their) tests it is normal and acceptable without defect." Well, of course it is. I just washed and dried it before sending it to you. But within a few wears, the fabric starts soaking up water again. Why would I spend all this time making phone calls, taking pictures, writing letters, and going to the post office if the jacket worked? That's it. I'll just keep it and spray it myself and no more north face for me. I suggest anyone considering this jacket just buy a cheap nylon jacket. It's not even about the jacket anymore; it's just so frustrating and such a waste of time the way large companies do business these days. Why can't they just respray it properly at one of their stores? Instead of fooling around with phone calls and packing and shipping and "our tests show nothing wrong."

This is the best jacket for the rainy season in a country such as Costa Rica; I highly recommeded it

This is a great, lightweight jacket. It's waterproof and windproof, the Gore-Tex material is excellent.

Great jacket. 100% waterproof, stylish, and great windbreaker. Used it in Iceland. Wished it was warmer, but it did the job and I think it's a good value for the money.

I purchased this jacket one week prior to a month long trip to China and Taiwan, two countries with often very wet weather conditions. I specifically bought this jacket for several reasons, but the most important being that it's "WATERPROOF", as written in several places on the garment labels, hang tags, and as described and advertised on your site. This is patently FALSE. Even in mildly wet and rainy conditions, water soaked through and got inside the jacket. The arms, in particular, let water in almost immediately. In heavy rain, the entire jacket let in water everywhere and the breast pocket filled with water, nearly destroying my cellphone. It is unreal that TNF no longer seems to test their garments prior to making such claims or releasing their gear. Even the most rudimentary test would have proved that this material isn't waterproof. I have been a fan and frequent buyer of TNF products for years, but this was a real let down. It's also worth pointing out that the light grey inside liner fabric curiously turns a much darker grayish-brown when repeatedly exposed to water.

I loved this jacket until it started falling apart. The seams around the neck are coming unglued. This jacket was way too expensive to be falling apart after only a half season. I want to send it in to get fixed But the 6 week turnaround is way too long for the PNW rainy season.

Was expecting a little bit more weight to it. Very thin for the price, but am keeping it.

Haven't had a lot of rain since I got the jacket, but the few times I've worn it I've stayed dry.

Keeps you dry, but not warm. Price is a little high due to this being a higher end Gortex jacket. It's essentially the same as other sub $100 NF jackets, but with a better polymer to keep water out but still retain some breathability.

I am a college student that attends school by a lake where it rains and snows frequently. My first impression of the Dryzzle Jacket was that it was expensive, but I am a firm believer of the "get what you pay for" motto and was VERY pleased after I purchased it. After wearing it to school I received nothing but compliments from other students and the ability to stay dry in wet conditions (rain and snow). The zipper underneath the armpit is great for when I workout and begin to sweat. In the rain, the jacket just wicks away the moisture but still manages to keep me dry and allow breathability. By far THE best jacket I have ever owned!

Purchased along with Apex as everyday jacket. Kept Apex, returned Dryzell. I'm 6'2" 250 and wear 48L off the rack. As a shell, this would function fine. Well made. Fit was large enough for multiple layers in chest. Arms were long. Might have gotten away with XL. Recommended as shell, but like the Apex fit and feel for everyday were.

Lightweight and breathable. Bought as a rain shell for Houston and for backpacking. I am a size small in all TNF men's clothes, and this jacket felt looser and longer than typical sizing.

This jacket is a huge disappointment. I bought in Canada and tried it two times in light rain conditions - not very good results but OK overall. This summer, when I got to the Tibet and the rest of China, I got soaked constantly. I am not exaggerating - I mean, really soaked! Not waterproof, 100% unbreathable even you keep the side zippers completely open. There is definitely something wrong! My pants and my boots (from competitors brands) do not leek a single drop even in torrential rain conditions. I filed a customer return and I am currently waiting for credit or refund.

Specs because it's what usually helps me. I'm 5'10", 195 lbs with an athletic build. (wear a 44R suit. 34" waist) The jacket fits correctly in all aspects on me except the length of the sleeves. The sleeves are too long on me. I have to use the velcro on the cuffs, but this leaves the sleeves bunched. Not a deal breaker. I have yet to test it in heavy rain, but 100% dry feeling in drizzle compared to the venture jacket.

Recently I was hiking in White Mountains and I had the jacket with me. Storm was coming so I was well prepared. I was all dry. My wife wasn't that lucky and she was wet. Now we are all well prepared, I bought another one for my wife.

Love the jacket! The sleeves are a tad long, but I can easily adjust the cuffs. If I was wearing this with layers the sleeve length wouldn't be an issue, but since it's summer it's unnecessary. Wore this with the vent zippers down in 80 degree weather during the rain and felt more comfortable than I thought I'd be.
