No break in time, so comfortable!

Finally, my toes are happy. I am making the Dansko Vera work for me. My third toe is a little longer than my second and most shoes squeeze it and rub up against it. Usually, I wear a 10 medium width because 10W is too wide everywhere else where I don't need it. The Dansko Vera is wide but the ankle strap allows it to be adjusted comfortably at the heal. The toe area is very roomy which is both good and bad for me because it may cause blisters from being too loose and rubbing. I have a solution for that. To prevent rubbing on my toes I am using gel toe tubes (which I have had to use with other shoes to avoid pain from squeezing and rubbing). I have worn them this way and I am in heaven. There is no pinching or squeezing. They are wide enough so that the edges of the leather do not dig into any area of my foot and this makes the shoe worthwhile for me. The leather is nice and soft. My feet are happy. I have a low arch and these are very comfortable in that area for me as well. The small rise in the heal is excellent. What a great relief this is. I will certainly buy these again as well as a closed toe version, as long as the width of the heal is made to be adjustable. Seriously, all shoes should be adjustable in the toe and heal area as we all do not have cookie cutter feet.

Comfortable right out of the box. Looks great with dresses, skirts, capri's. Very happy with the oyster color. Great for fall. I am on my feet at school all day so I love Dansko and their many styles.

These shoes are so comfortable & stylish too! I got them in the blue. It's such a rich color hue. I'm so glad I purchased these. I want them in another color since they are so versatile & comfortable. I ordered my usual size & they were a perfect fit.

I love, love, love this sandal! Although the arch support isn't comparable to the usual Dansko arch support, which is a big plus for me, I think it will be comfortable for dressier use. The Euro styling is very appealing to me. Big thumbs up!

These are so comfortable but they run a whole size large for me. I thought Id try something different and order the red. The fit was perfect but the color was just a little too vibrant for me so I have decided to return them. I will definitely come back to these. I keep ordering Allegrias which I find to be extremely comfortable but they are just a bit too flashy and clunky for me. I feel these Veras are just as comfortable but a lot more subtle.

These have been one of my main summer shoes while walking 3-5 miles a day, and they're amazing. Pretty, resilient (have worn them in the rain a lot and the red suede still looks fine), comfortable. No blisters. Don't hurt my back. Would highly recommend these!

I wear a size 10. Ordered the 41 as well as the 40. The 40 was perfect. Comfy shoe. I am sure I will wear these a lot in the summer.

Love the comfort and style of this shoe. Put them on right out of the box and wore them for the rest of the day. They are lightweight and have great support.

I have these in the red. They are adorable and I get compliments whenever I wear them. They are so comfortable. The foot bed and the straps are soft. I wore them all day three days in a row as soon as I got them and they were never short of amazing.

Fit perfectly. Very cute style for such a comfortable shoe. Blue color is a little more "denim" in real life but still very pretty. Am definitely considering more colors.

Cute and comfortable, exactly what I wanted. However I'm not sure I appreciate the sight heel- adds to the cuteness but detracts from bring on feet all day.

I'm having issues with my feet and need a good supportive, no-to-low heel. I really like the look of this shoe. Feminine, classic, and goes with everything. It is comfortable for my wide bunion feet. Straps across wide area of foot tends to be tricky since often the leather is cut in a way that it bites into my high arch and wide foot. This shoe did NOT!!! Which is great. The European sizing put me in a 6.5-7.0 range since I'm a 6.5. Unfortunately for me, that euro 37 felt too loose around the strappy area -- even with the velcro adjustment range. I'm sending it back for now as I check out some other shoes. But this one will remain on my list of "maybe" to come back and try a different size.

Last season, I ordered these shoes in burnished black in size 39. I did have to go down a size to 38. I recently ordered them in pewter napa, beautiful color. These shoes are very comfortable and look good with pants or dresses. I would definitely recommend the Vera Dansko.

I wear a 9.5 regularly and ordered a 40, which fits perfectly. This is my second pair of Veras; the first was the metallic leather. The quality is excellent and the sandals are comfortable right out of the box. They are practical since they can be dressed up or down. I wear mine with jeans or dresses. The velcro strap makes it easy to adjust around the ankle. Eventually I may get a third pair.

Love these sandals and own them in 3 colors: black, tomato, oyster! I have foot problems including low arches, arthritis in my left foot and bunions on both feet, and I often suffer pain in my arthritic foot when shoes don’t provide proper arch support. While Dansko is one of my go-to brands, I was worried these might be too flat for me. But they’ve turned out to be the most comfortable ones I own! The band over the foot is a bit wide, so it probably wouldn’t work for a narrow foot, but it accommodates my bunions comfortably and I like having more coverage over my toes, too. I like the little bit of height at the heel and the adjustable strap. Cute and versatile, they can be worn with both casual and dressy outfits. I wear a size 7.5 and the 38 fits perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about them!

I love these shoes! Like some other reviewers, I also have a really high instep and arch. These shoes fit perfectly and are super comfortable for walking. I get serious heel pain if I wear shoes that are flat and it is hard to find a shoe with a heel that I can walk around in. These are perfect. Cute and comfortable. I'm thinking of buying them in every color!

I had purchased this shoe in pewter. It is so beautifully made and comfy that I chose another pair in black. It is just as lovely and the size 40 fits my American size 10 feet well. Having the velcro upper strap helps my slightly narrow heel stay put.

This shoe is like walking on a cloud. It’s so comfortable and it looks good. Can dress up or down. I love this shoe.

I was looking for a comfy shoe that was not a flip flop, yet still casual. This shoe ran a whole size larger; I wear a 7.5-8 and went with a 37. It runs wide but that was fine for me as my feet is somewhat narrow but I don't like tight shoes. The peep toe part is cut high so my toes barely peek through but again that is fine with me. Consider adding a thin insole or a ball of foot pad to reduce any unwanted width. Overall a comfortable shoe out of the box.

Long time buyer, first time reviewer. These Dansko Veras are remarkably comfortable. It's a word that's tossed around lightly, but I mean it. More comfortable than many flats, and infinitely more comfortable than any height heels. The footbed cradles your foot. The arches are a tad high in these shoes, but I got used to them quickly. I have high arches. I'm just unaccustomed to a shoe actually supporting them fully. I marked them as "wide" and it's not as if they're gaping, but they are a tad wide; not uncomfortably so. Nothing rubs wrong, the straps adjust easily, thanks to the velcro connections. Here's the best part: they look great. Like a lovely European shoe, rather than a dowdy "comfort" shoe. I bought the red pair, next I'm buying the black.

I loved this shoe. Really well made and comfortable. Unfortunately, I tried two different sizes and could not get a proper fit. Just not the right shoe for me. Thank you Zappos for being so wonderful about returns.
