My husband swears by his Merrells...this is his third pair and they do not disappoint.

This is the first pair of shoes I bought of this style in quite a long time, but I'm extremely happy with them! I really liked the flat black look of them. Initially, I was a little concerned because the orange accents really stand out in the pictures. They're definitely there, but it's not quite as bright as the pictures make it look. When I first put these on, it seemed like my foot had a little too much room from front to back, and my foot would slide forward in the shoe a bit while walking. Adjusting the laces resolved this issue, and after having worn them for a few weeks, I think they're just fine. I would suggest adjusting the laces the first time you try them. These shoes are not waterproof, like some other Merrell owners might assume (I heard this from friends). They are water resistant enough, though. I wore them outside in the rain, all day, and my feet were warm and dry. I wouldn't advise walking directly in any streams though.

Love these shoes! The W width gives me room for my orthotics. They are a little stiff as new shoes often are but they feel great and will fit even better as they break in.
