I purchased these for the quality Merrell reputation specifically recommended by my Podiatrist. I need extremely supportive shoes due to peripheral neuropathy and hammertoes. My osteoarthritis is only relieved by walking according to all my physicians. These shoes luckily came in a wide width for my feet. The MOAB name helped my decision as well since winter ice and snow arrived when they did. Would appreciate a wider toe box for toe comfort but otherwise undeniably satisfied. Look forward to warm weather hiking as well.

I really liked these shoes but they are just too small. Oh, Merrill, why don't you make women's 11 1/2 and 12? And 10 1/2 while you are at it. I also ordered the men's shoe which fit fine but it is not nearly as attractive. I am returning both.

A very comfortable hiking shoe that left me with no sores or sore feet. These did shoes did not qualify for water resistant. I will keep them and waterproof them myself. I was very disappointed that while walking through wet grass then leaves my feet became wet. Buy the end of a rainy hike my socks were soaked while my husband's Merrells performed much better. Perhaps I received a defective pair, not waterproofed?

Bought these in June/17 because they fit my narrow heels/wide front feet perfectly. They are very comfortable, though perhaps on the warm side, I assume because of the extra padding/material. Terribly disappointed in the waterproof claim. I do a lot of gardening and walking with my dog and my socks and feet were wet from wet grass: no stream/river forging, no hosing down, wet grass! But, exceptionally comfortable. Acceptable trade-off, I guess.

This shoe fit my foot from the start. No "breaking in" issues. The toe box is roomy, so no pinched toes. The shoes are waterproof. My feet stayed dry in a recent hard rain. My only complaint is that my feet are a bit warm in these shoes as the airflow is limited. I'm guessing that's the price of waterproofing.

These were really comfortable right out of the box and I love the wide width. Still comfortable after hiking for two weeks in Glacier National Park. My only complaint is that I didn't find them to be entirely waterproof, which is really disappointing. It's possible my pair is flawed, but I can feel water come in the side when I step in a puddle that comes above the sole. This is my third pair of waterproof Merrells, and I've never had this happen before (I always bought Siren Sport 2 in the past).

My sole complaint is that the shoe is EXTREMELY slippery. I almost fell on the first day on both a wet wooden step and a wet rock. Reading comments elsewhere about some Vibram being quite slippery, I will scuff them up and attempt to remedy the situation. If that doesn't work, they will be almost useless for true hiking. But they are very comfortable and will work for walking around town.

The shoes felt great when I put them on. I wore them around town to break them in. When I finally started walking in wet grass the toes were soaked through and so were my socks. One of the key features I was looking for was waterproof because I knew I would be walking in grass and on days when there might be light rain. The shoes look great. I will try to waterproof them myself, but choose to only wear them on dry days.

The quality of this shoe is great. So comfy and light. Traction is unbelievable. I am definitely a Merrell girl for life.

I purchased a waterproof shoe to wear to spring soccer games which tend to be wet. They were great and I also took them on a trip to Boston at the end of March. They certainly came in handy as it was windy, snowing and wet.

This is the 4th time I've owned these exact style of shoes but the first time ordering the wide size. They are great! Much better fit for my flat, wide feet. I work out in them mostly but they are also my go-to everyday errand shoes. Always a bit stiff in the beginning (I attribute that to the durable material it's made of) but they break in after wearing them for about a week.

Needed a sturdy but comfortable hiking shoe. Do light hiking and great deal of walking rural and urban. These are the perfect choice plus I adore the color.

These are harder to break in and not as comfortable as the Sirens Edge I bought previously. Did some hiking but they feel bulky on my feet.

Fit is good, but these shoes are terribly hard and uncomfortable. I would like to exchange for something softer, like a trail shoe. I have plantar fasciitis and after walking even short distances in these shoes I am in terrible pain. They are too stiff and hard for my liking and purposes. Aside from that they are a good looking and well made shoe. Just not for me.

Great tractions on sole. The material on the heel were out before the traction.

I have bought and worn Moabs for the last 8 years and loved them. However the last two pairs have been off. They are to wide. I do not have a narrow foot. I have to tighten the laces all the time to wear them.

I wore these for the first time and they hurt. Never happened before. On the top of my foot. The tongue of the shoe is sewn in two pieces and rug against my foot.

These Moab 2 shoes are clunkier and heavier than my other Merrell boots. The tongue on these are also longer and uncomfortable. Disappointed that I have to return the pair. Will try another style from Merrell.

Although the comfort was good these are very chunky- looking shoes. Even though they weren’t tight, The tongue is so thick it makes it look like the shoe is way too small! I love the toe width but just can’t keep this shoe.

To replace an old (2014) Moab 2 pair of shoes, I bought the Moab 2 WP version as well as the Moab 2 Vent version and the two fit very differently. The Moab 2 WP was comfortable and fit perfectly in every way with the exception of the length of the tongue, which is longer than the 2014 version. It’s so long that it bumps into the front of my ankle with every step. Merrell has also added so much extra padding to both width and height that my feet look like absolute clodhoppers. So, even though the fit was perfect and they were very comfortable, I wouldn't wear them for their sheer ugliness. I ended up buying a pair of Oboz. However, if Merrell returns to its older slimmer design, I will look at the Moab once again.

I am a standard 10M but these were short, my toe rubbing the front of the shoe.

My original waterproof MOAB 2s in wide (I wear orthotics) from 3 years ago have been great in all ways. They fit perfectly from day 1 and still do. I was happy to order a new pair - until I tried on the MOAB 3s, then the 2s - both in my original size. There's less room inside in both. They were too tight to be comfortable. What have you done to them? I had to send them back. I was so disappointed. :(

This is a solid shoe. I bought a 1/2 size larger because I read the Moab 2 runs small. I am glad I did that. I am still on the fence on whether I really love it or hate it.
