They are true to size. However, very bulky and I feel they don't have a lot of cushion inside.
I would have returned them but I threw the box away.
Hoping to break them in

Initially I thought they would slip up and down like another pair of sneakers that I had to return. If I double tie these sneakers, they don't slip at the heal so I have been walking quite a bit in these sturdy sneakers. They are definately waterproof.

I love my Merrells. The fit is good and they are comfortable for hiking around in the Pacific NW terrain. The only problem with the pair I have is that they are not waterproof. They have failed several times in the wet grass or when raining. I really need waterproof so will have to look as something else.

I had ordered my usual Merrell size in both a Med and a Wide width based on some of the reviews I read. For me the Med width fit fine. I will occasionally find a wide more comfortable but in this shoe the Wide was too much. They are comfy but a little heavy - but I expect that since it's a waterproof shoe. I purchased this model specifically for keeping my feet dry when walking in wet grass. Haven't tested this aspect yet but will certainly update if my feet get wet!

This is my second pair of the Moab 2 waterproof show. I love the stability of the soul and the arch fits well. A downside is the tongue is a bit narrow near the ankle area. I would prefer a narrow fit versus the wide but have yet to find that fit. Overall, a great shoe.

I am a tad disappointed, I have found Merrell to run a bit large w several pair I've owned.
The first pair I ordered in my regular size, they were swimming on me.
I ordered 1/2 size down and I think they are too tight...
Check your fit carefully...

Have worn the Merrell Siren Edge in 8.5 Wide and was hoping to find a similar fit in the Merrell Moab 2 Waterproof 8.5 Wide. Moab was shorter and became narrow from the ball of my foot to toes (boot doesn't offer the width in this area that the Siren Edge does). The Moab has been returned.

It is really hard for me to find shoes that fit. They either fit in the toe box, and the heel is too loose ( hello blisters), or the toe box is too tight. When I first tried these on they felt too nartow in the toe, but I loosened the laces, and they were much better. I've walked around in them for awhile now, and they are fine, but I will never be able to wear a heavy sock with them. Also, they are very sturdy and should be a great hiking shoe.

Foot slides forward in shoe. Really had to tighten the laces

These shoes make my feet look very wide and do not get any points for style. That being said, they are comfortable, and so far, good for the short hikes I've been on. I cannot, yet, attest to the waterproofing.

I love the look and feel of this shoe. Suggestion would be to strengthen the stability of the heel as the lining seems to collapse too early in the life of the shoe. I have a pair of the Moab 2 waterproof mid boot and I live those as well

I have narrow feet, and this shoe is a little too wide for me. It's also rather heavy because it's constructed for serious hiking.

My foot in these good looking shoes felt secure, ready to hit the trail. Unfortunately they weren't quite what I need, stiffer than I expected & half a size too small. I love the waterproof aspect but I need something more lightweight for walking on city streets. The soles on my old Merrills are just now starting to wear after 3-4 years (a record for me!) so I'm a fan for life!

The Moab 2 Waterproof fit was slightly smaller than my other Merrells but still comfortable due to the roomy toe box. The Moab 2 is waterproof. I wore them in the rain and my socks stayed dry. Great shoe, Merrell dies not disappoint.

I have not gotten to wear my shoes a lot at this point..I bought them for our trip to Europe, so will have a much better feel afterwards. I have always loved Merrill shoes. I am expecting the best which is my experience with many other Merrill shoes.

I wanted to love these right out of the box but they are a bit uncomfortable and feel clunky. I own a pair exactly like these that are 4 yrs old and they were fantastic so I thought these would be the same. They seems to be more rigid but I hope that time will help resolve that. I do still like the style but am a little disappointed they were not as comfy as my old ones.

I liked these at first, but after wearing them on a hike, I found that they were painful for my toes. The toe box is an odd shape and it crushed my toes together too much. Maybe if I had ordered the next size up they would have been better, I'm not sure. I had worn them too much to return them. I've had Merrill hiking shoes for a long time, but these are shaped differently than the older Merrill hiking boots. If your toes need room these may not be the shoes for you.

This was my first purchase of Merrell shoes and I am quite pleased with the quality and fit of the style. Provides the support I need and were comfortable from the first wearing.

I purchased the same style as my current MOAB2 waterproof shoe due to age and find that the style has changed. New: There is a band circling the inside of the shoe. Also the toe box and the eyelets have changed. The result for me is a less comfortable shoe. I cannot find a better Merrell hiker so I’ll stick with them but wish they hadn’t made changes to the design. Those changes were not for the better

Overall, I love the Merrell Moab 2 Waterproof. I did have to size up 1/2 size in the length, and while I have narrow feet and the medium width is roomy in the toe box, my heels don't slip at all! I figure the extra room will let me wear a heavier sock in the cool months. They really do help stabilize my somewhat wobbly ankles and after several full days of wear, my knees are saying these are a winner! I chose the dusty olive with blue accents, and I think the subtle color makes the boxy shoe not look so big. Goes well with jeans and dusty trails. : )

I tried these on in a store before buying online. They have been comfortable and ease the back pain I get when walking. The past few weeks however , I'm finding my toes are hitting the end if the shoe and they feel tight.

This product runs small. I was disappointed when my 7.5 shoe did not fit. What was surprising was that I wear a 7.5 in other Merrell hiking shoes. I will return them, and try another size.

I've been on the hunt for new hiking shoes as my Keen's have come to their end. Thankfully Zappos has the best selection and return/exchange policy with instant refunds! These ones fit the best. Not too wide while fitting very comfortable with thick hiking socks. My only problem was I seem to be in between 2 sizes, so I ended up going with the bigger size just to be on the safe side. The quality seems great and while I have not tested the waterproof feature I'm happy that was available.
