i got these because i had heard great things about it and had the extra money to buy them. i am an outdoors person but i dont have a high paying job, so i tried to be smart with my buy. the sad thing is, these aren't waterproof. if you go on a short walk and it rains a little, yes you will probably be fine. but i was in the rain for a whole day on a long hike, and my feet were freezing cold by the end. it is a disappointment because they claim they are waterproof, but they simply arent, and if they had communicated that i would've bought actual waterproof shoes. so if you are a pro hiker that goes on long hikes, no matter the temperature or if it rains, do not buy these. buy some other kind of shoes.

I love these trail shoes and live in the PNW where there is a lot of wet weather. Had them not long but the waterproofing did not last. Both feet totally soaked walking thru moist dew grass. I wish they waterproofed better or in Goretex wide width sizes

Well made with great grip; however I needed a half size larger than normal. I had it stretched a little and have worn them for 3 years. I am now ordering a hiking boot half a size larger because of the quality of the shoe.

This being my favorite Merrell shoe, I have more than one pair. One for working in the yard/garden, and another for casual everyday wear. This model gives me support and stability, and some cushion.

I've been wearing a pair of hiking boots for the last couple years. I have pretty sensitive feet and suddenly didn't work anymore. I needed more support and cushioning in the heel. These were recommended in several searches. There are several colors to choose from which was nice. Right out of the box they were comfortable. There is plenty of toe room. The laces allow me to tighten and loosen where needed. They fit exactly as I expected. They look more clunky than I was anticipating. They are a little heavy, too. But, they are doing what I bought them for. I'm very pleased.

These are very comfortable and sturdy while still looking good. Not clunky shoes either but a good pair that you need to get a little used to! I actually ordered a size 8.5 women's and had to exchange it for a 9. Time the size run a little on the small size but not much. Highly recommend this style and the company.

I ordered a wide size and was very pleased that it was indeed an appropriately wide shoe which fit as expected. The shoe is high quality and very durable. Approximately the first 4hours was needed to "break-in" the shoe, and during that time I was worried they were/would be uncomfortable, however, after that short time (I did two 2-hour blocks) the shoes were very comfortable and remain comfortable.

I recommend this boot for daily walking or serious hiking. It is sturdy, has arch support and I think it helps my posture. I always wear a size 8 in Merrell shoes but this boot is a bit smaller than I expected. It works for me with thin socks.

These fit my wide feet nicely right out of the box.

I bought the Moab 2 for when I'm doing outdoorsy things up north in Michigan. Hiking, walking by the lake, working in the rain. So far, they are exactly what I wanted and needed. Plus, I originally ordered the wrong color than what I wanted, but Merrell exchanged them easy-peasy! Thanks.

I ordered wide but needed medium.

Because the brand of shoe I had bought for many years had removed almost all arch support, I developed heel pain. I discovered Merrell's shoes in my search for shoes with better arch support. These shoes have the arch support I needed and have support for the heel. My heel pain is gone! Overall, the shoe is very comfortable and stays dry when I walk through wet grass.

these feel great on my feet and sized right, but seem to be huge. I wondered if they were actually a man's shoe. Carrying a 5'4" body on size 8 1/2s, I feel a little self conscious that my foot looks huge in these shoes. Overall, comfortable and seems to be same good Merrell quality. Usually, when I get new shoes, my foot feels numb after the first long, hour + walk or hike. Not so with these. Never got that uncomfortable feeling. So maybe the big looks works!

These are a huge upgrade from what I was wearing before, however I am very happy with how comfortable they are, how they hug my feet without being tight, and don't create any blisters. So thankful for that! I didn't have to break them in and have gone on two 5 mile hikes with them so far, with a lot of variety in elevation so they've been testing uphill and downhill without issue. Also create walking through streams without wet feet :-) They look 1 star for two reasons. Granted it is summer, but man these make my feet hot. In the fall I'm sure they'll be perfect, but I supposed if I want them to be waterproof they will be less breathable so that's the trade off. Second reason is that I wish they had the bungy cord ties as an option instead of regular laces. Not a huge thing but definitely a bonus when available. Overall very happy. I normally wear an 8 or an 8.5 in shoes and opted for 8.5 which was the right move.

My daughter usually wears a size 7.5M in any brand under the Wolverine umbrella but these shoes ran 1/2 size large and had to be returned for a size 7M. The size 7M fits excellent, is comfortable and my daughter loves them. She can't wait to hit the trails in them for the first time instead of suburban trekking like she does now. The exchange process was quick and easy!

I've worn these for years and either my foot is bigger or the shoe a half size smaller. Its great for maybe the first 30 minutes or until I've been out walking for a while, then my toe starts bumping against the end and its uncomfortable. Still a great shoe, I just need to adjust my size in these from an 8 to an 8.5

I'm on my 2nd pair. Love them, but my recent pair ran 1/2 size short compared to last purchase. I found this true with another Merrill similar style purchased 4 months ago. New manufacturing process possibly? I've worn an 8 regular in Merrill for years.....

Purchased these to replace both a very old pair of vasques and a falling apart pair of Brooks sneakers. Could not be more happy - no more knee pain on my walks, the support and comfort of the Brooks and the waterproof traction of the Vasques. Getting the kids their second pairs soon!

Good support and stability. Runs a little wide and there is plenty of room for nice thick socks
