I ordered a 9 Wide, but it appears to be a standard D width. There is no indication on the tongue label that it is a Wide. I have not been able to wear them. Please advise.

After two season of moderate wear, tie cap starting breaking away, affecting waterproof status. In three season m, the heels were done and logs fell off. Other better boots in the line.

The heel of the shoe is poorly constructed such that there is a seem on the heel that can give you blisters initially.

I have had these for about 3 years. They are generally comfortable though they could use a bit more cushion in the heel. They provide excellent traction and wear well. I had to exchange my first pair because they apparently run about a half size too small. My biggest gripe is that they are not waterproof as advertised, e.g., a mile walk on a rainy day and the entire front portion of the interior is wet. Thus, I would recommend them unless you really need a waterproof shoe.

Been wearing these for many years and been through several pairs. Originally they were indeed waterproof, but sadly this is no longer the case with newer versions. My current and my last pair of MOABs both leaked when walking in wet grass. The other problem with the newer versions is that the uppermost eyelet cuts the shoelace. I'm actually on the Merrell site trying to find replacements.

I jut wet for my first walk in wet grass with my Moab 2 shoes and my socks are soaked. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I paid extra for the Moab 2 WP model, but it's clearly a waste of money. I hope some waterproofing spray can fix these.

I ended up disappointed with this shoe. Online reviews were favorable so I thought I would give them a try. Beware, they run small so listen to the online reviews and order a half size up. The style isn't of huge importance since they are for hiking, but the look isn't as nice as some other shoes, like Salomon. What really surprised me was the comfort. Out of the box they felt great. I was very pleased. Then as I continued to wear them around the house my heel began to hurt and got worse the longer I wore them. I read somewhere that you should wear new shoes for at least half an hour to see if they will work or not. These did not, at least for me. If you decide to get these and keep them, I suggest getting new insoles. The last thing you want if you take these on a hike is for your feet to hurt. I used Zappo's easy return policy to send these back and ended up with the Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX.

This is my third pair in as many years. I use them heavily but they have lasted about as long as expected until this pair. Only had them a few months now and the sole is starting to seperate from the shoe. Disappointed in this pair for sure.

I must have bought 1/2dz Merrell shoes/boots over the last 10yrs, but this is the 1st time I've been disappointed. Bought these 'Waterproof' to replace a pair of worn out regular Moab 2 (water resistant). Those were amazing...actually required stepping in a puddle to soak through. Finally tried these after 6 months in my cupboard, and these puported 'Waterproof' ones soak right through just walking across a damp lawn after a rain. Very surprising fail and definitely not as marketed. I need to shop for a competitor's real waterproof shoe.Otherwise they're comfortable and supportive with a great tred

I returned and went with the Moab 2 GTX. This is a cheaper version, and may be waterproof but the back of the heel was weak and you could feel the internal fabric slide down and rub against the back of the foot. I have never had this problem with other Merrells, but usually order the Goretex versions.

I have 2 older pair of Merrell shoes (trail type) and love them, the arch is perfect, but this shoe and the last pair, the arch support is closer to the heel and is very uncomfortable.

The right shoe’s removable insole had a large ‘wrinkle’ in it that created an uncomfortable bump. 3rd shoe in a row ordered from Zappos that had some kind of manufacturing defect.

After wearing 2 days, not even on trails yet. Just normal walking. The top ankle area has started to show wear.

Wear these shoes everyday. When walking through wet grass first my left foot then right foot both are saturated. Maybe a pair of duds. Merrell told me to talk to the retailer. The retailer said to talk to Merrell. Last ones I buy. They are comfy when dry.

First try on shoes were very tight. I had a pair of the Merrell Accentor vent hikers which ran big in a size 13 but just added an extra insert and shoe fit fine and comfortable. These again fit small for a size 13 and the cut around the ankle did not fit my foot well either. With the size being tight I was not able to place a more cushioned insole in to replace the hard as a rock regular insole.
Solis shoe but not very comfortable for my foot.

Was really excited to try this shoe as have heard great things about the Moab range. Unfortunately on first use my feet were soaked during wet weather. No shoe can be 100% waterproof and there are areas I expect to get wet. However after 30 mins of hiking my feet were squelching around inside the shoe so much I had to check i had'nt bought the Vent by mistake.

Shoes were fitting perfectly well initially, but that was when i had tried them on in the morning. As day went, my feet swore up as usual and my toes started squeezing in to the shoes. I think its also due to having too much padding at the heel of the shoe. I thought i could break it in, but becoming more and more uncomfortable as days went. I already wore it few days, and now i am stuck with it... i wish i could try these on before purchasing.

I have only had the shoes a short time. At first they were waterproof, butI have been wearing the shoes around my yard to break them in because I have a hiking trip planned. They say waterproof but they are not. The left shoe started leaking first and now the right one leaks. They aren't waterproof anymore even in just wet grass. They a comfortable and I love them except the leaking.

So I've been wearing these for a couple months now and the fit is great. Nice and light, fully waterproof and this has been tested by walking through creeks and not a drop of water is felt and socks are completely dry. The downside is the traction on smooth rocks and or small loose gravel is very poor. It has caused me to lose my footing twice. I have lost my trust in the grip of these in rain and confidence when going down an incline with rocks and mud.

FYI these shoes were significantly shorter than other Moab 2 Merrill’s. Had to return.

Past generations of these shoes were made with Goretex and I have owned many pairs over the past several years. I live in Vancouver, BC, and have really appreciated having dry feet after walking home in a typical winter downpour. Unfortunately, these are now made with "M Select DRY", a cheap knock off that does not come close to being waterproof. I have been wearing my latest pair with the knock-off material since the summer, and today after walking home in a downpour my feet were wet all around the toes. Although my older pairs with Goretex are worn out, they are still waterproof. I would rank these shoes higher if they didn't claim "waterproof."

My first pair lasted me almost 4 years and were great until I wore a hole through them. Just purchased my second pair this year and after approximately a few months there's water leaking into the toe area leaving my socks soaked. Could not be more disappointed.

These shoes have virtually no arch-support. If you have low arches, they are incredibly painful to walk in them. I had to replace the insoles, and that made a world of difference. But the biggest problem with these shoes is the lack of grip. They are only good on bare and dry terrain. As soon as it's wet out, it's as though the shoes are covered in oil. You have to be hyper-cognizant of every step you take. God-forbid you have to walk on wet concrete, or be out in the rain on a wet trail ever. If you want these for cold-weather, don't even bother. As soon as it gets close to freezing temps, the sole freezes up and provides zero-traction whatsoever.
