These are my second pair of these hikers. I wear them to work every day with a replaceable orthotic for added support.
They are comfortable and durable.

Bought same size as I have purchased before. The new boot is much wider and longer than the last one I bought in the exact size!!!!

This is my first pair of Merrell shoes. I'm very pleased with the appearance and performance of shoe for the first 2 weeks. I did have the situation with the top loop breaking on first lace up.

True to size and width .purchased the ventilatpr model because the wp model felt to warm on my feet.however would like to see better insole. I.e. more spongy.

Hikers were comfortable right out of the box. Sized correctly. Maybe a little too much lift at the heel, but just my personal preference. Good looking footwear. I would buy Merrel again.

I've worn these for a few days so far. They are larger --mostly in width-- than other Merrells and other-brand footware I've had of the same nominal size (9.5 M). I added a flat insole under the Merrell one, which has improved the fit some.
They have good support, and if they didn't feel a tad loose, they would give a good feel of stability.
These Moabs are considerably larger than my other current pair of Merrells, the Chameleon 7 Limit Mid Waterproof, which are good except that they make my feet sweat. I got the Moabs so I would have a cooler option, and so far, no overheated feet or sweaty socks. But I prefer the fit of the Chameleon, which is less bulky and has a more nimble feel for activities like climbing ladders and staging. I think it would be a good move for Merrell to make a version of the Chameleon with the material used in the Moab.

Probably the most comfortable boot ever! I wear this everyday casually. Not exactly the best with soaking wet rocks. But I think it performed better than my Salomens. Climbed Mt. Washington, New Hampshire with these boots.
Also no "breaking in" is nice.

I have had a pair of these shoes for over 7 years, still in GREAT shape, but my foot has grown a bit and could no longer wear. So I ordered a new pair. Very durable with fantastic construction.

There could be more shoe cushioning, but this is a well fitting shoe. First time I didn't have to return I'll-fitting shoes.

this shoe/boot is truly all I wear. I spend ten hours a day on a concrete floor and this shoe helps keep me going. honestly, right now I own 5 identical pair, all in different ages and levels of wear. no kidding, if I'm not in them I'm either barefoot or in flipflops.

These are the best boots I've ever found. I've worked 50 years on my feet. I've tried every make and style of boots. These are the very best. I have a narrow foot. These boots are not too wide. I add a DR S insole for added comfort and fill. I wear these boots 12 hours a day 7 days a week. When they get worn looking I order another pair. A friend with wide feet said he could not wear these.
I hope this helps

This is my 3rd pair. I wear these shoes 7 days a week. They hold up very well. I usually get 14-18 months out of them. The shoelaces is the only reason I don't give five stars. I usually replace the strings with paracord to make them last the 14-18 months.

I'm on the HUNT for a good walking/hiking boot like this, and Merrell has the arch which I need. I am a woman, who is size 11, and two diff Merrell's were too short/small. There is nowhere to go after 11 but over to you men! THANK GOODNESS men's feet are bigger than mine. I tried this men's 10, and sadly it was still too short in the toe (my longer middle toe was cramming into the top painfully). So I'm on the 4th try - gonna try the 10.5 and I really think that should do it. Everyone reviews that these and the women's RUN SMALL - BELIEVE IT PEOPLE!! I am a TRUE size, and shouldn't need to go up, and I believe in a boot where they KNOW you are going to wear socks, and probably BIG socks, they should make the size a bit MORE ample, not smaller. COME ON MERRELL!!!!! But the look of these is great. The arch and overall support is great, and the security of it hugging my foot and ankle is so comfortable.

Wrote a review about size the other month. So far. I am in love with my boots. Comfortable. Light weight. Grippy, supportive. Awesome for walking down miles and miles of loose rocks. Good on steel rungs. But. 4 weeks ago I got a break in my left inner heel. It's kept creeping and now I can feel the difference in support due to the degraded state of the left inner heel. I hope it's just my boots that failed and this is not a normal. Still recommend the boots.

Merrell makes the best hiking boots. Two problems: 1) the "Wide" designation is hardly wide. I need between 4E and 6E to be comfortable. In order to use these shoes I have to use special stretchers to facilitate use of the shoes until stretched out.
2) The boots I wear now are Merrell, of course. The style has changed somewhat. Should stay with the style which is always sold out by competing companies such as Zappos (of course they don't have 4E or 6E either. But I love Merrell nonetheless.cC

I HAVE BEEN WEARING THIS STYLE OF BOOTS FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE AN ADMISSION: I OWN THREE PAIR AT ALL TIMES. I KEEP A FRESH NEW PAIR IN THE CLOSET; A PAIR FOR CLEAN, CASUAL WEAR; AND A PAIR FOR YARD WORK. I ROTATE THEM ALMOST ON SCHEDULE (NEVER MORE THAN 9 MONTHS). WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE OBSERVATION: WHEN THE SOLE FAILS AND THE SIDES HAVE BROKEN IN REALLY WELL, ITS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY OBVIOUS AND THE ROTATION BEGINS BY ORDERING A NEW PAIR TO PUT IN THE TOP OF THE CLOSET FOR THE NEXT ROTATION.

This is the 6th pair of Merrell shoes that I have owned, this is the only brand of hiking boot I buy, but this pair kind of disappointed me. Went hiking twice and on the return home found that the rubber over the toe area was torn, could of gotten snagged on something during the hike but was disappointed that it happened to a this new pair of pricy boots this early and thought the rubber toe was a little thicker material then what it actually was. Other than this issue, it was a good fitting shoe, true to size, very comfortable to wear.
