Love these boots. I wear them for work and totally abuse them doing landscaping. My previous pair has lasted over a year which is excellent. Comfortable all day even with my bunion impaired feet.

The Moab II was a little stiff the first day of walking 3 miles briskly. Fit properly but the sole was pretty stiff. After the walk I noticed I could twist the center of the sole some, so I knew it would break in. I have a background in chemistry and rubber extrusion. Swim Team & Cross Country. So... after a week of wearing them everywhere daily ..rain, soggy grass, wooded trails & concrete paths they Finally broke in. They still look brand new and they're Really comfortable. Waterproof. My feet stayed dry. They do a great job of holding your ankles in place in uneven, rough terrain. Good for Bugout. Size 13 M. I'm 6'1" and 210. Athletic.

I ordered these boots on line and they arrived just a few days later. They look good and feel good. An excellent value.

Love the MOAB line, I like to hop from rock to rock on a lot of trails and the sole is stiff enough that it doesn't hurt my feet by the end of the day but is still comfortable that I don't feel like I'm wearing a big boot.

I've been wearing Merrell hiking boots for years. My Moab boots replaced a pair which was at least twenty five years old with hundreds of miles on them. These boots are perfect for most hiking in the desert region where the majority of of my hiking takes place These boots are comfortable and quite literally rugged. They breath well and handle any terrain I choose. I recommend Merrels to anyone who will listen.

Bought it and have tried it twice so far on moderate day hikes. Very comfortable, I felt like they handled slightly rocky paths well. Feet feel fine after hike which is the test I judge by.

This shoe is my standard. I wear it as my normal everyday shoe. It's fine for wearing around the office while I'm working, while being ready to go for a hike and support me on rocky terrain. I'm currently on my third pair.

Very well ventilated, which is exactly what I was looking for, as my feet get HOT AF!!!! Fit great! Very Comfortable. Wore them for the first time on a 5 mile hike and was comfortable the whole day. No rough break-in!

I am in the process of returning these. They felt too narrow for me. I usually wear a EEE in New Balance running shoes. I liked this color so took a chance that they would fit. I ordered the same size but in wide. They fit great. Unfortunately the only color available was charcoal/black and no-one had the color I originally ordered. The fit is more important. I only gave 4 stars for comfort because they were not comfortable because I ordered the medium size, not the shoes fault!
I'd also recommend:
I wear New Balance running shoes, Birkenstocks

I have owned Moab 2 shoes before and worn them out. Separated sole, but probably to be expected after a couple years of hard use. This time I went with the Moab 2 Ventilator Boot to get more ankle support on uneven ground. They breathe well and dry quickly when wetted. I pair them with TX Direct and short socks, & , bog walking or in really wet weather, a pair of Randy Sun waterproof socks.

These are the most comfortable boots i've had in a long time, right out of the box. Light weight, good arch and ankle support. I ordered the wide size boot and these have a nice, wide, comfortable toe box. Good traction from soles. Great for day hikes and longer outings.

Comfort is such an understatement for these shoes. Work or play, these shoes excel in surface grip and traction. I also wear them riding either motorcycle so the traction helps.

These fit really well. I struggle to find shoes that are wide enough without being too wide. These are perfect. Great arch support and no rubbing in the heals

I do not like Gore-Tex or the Merrell "Dry" equivalent. No matter what these two are described as e.g. waterproof yet breathable, they make my feet sweat uncomfortably. These non-waterproof "Ventilators" are the solution for me. I can wear them all day and not have my socks sticking to me when I take them off at days end. I indicated light duty in the heading as the Moabs lack a shank to protect the feet on rocky terrain. I wouldn't put a heavy pack on my back with these. For general day hiking they're wonderful.

Got one of these while working as a field staff in wilderness therapy. Being a hiking program, my pair of boots had to deal with all types of hiking conditions. From loose sands to high mountains in southern Utah. In my first work season I went through 5 pairs of boots. However, ever since I bought a pair of these an older green model) I've never had to buy another pair. I've used them extensively while hunting as well. Though a little taller shaft for hunting wouldn't have been bad. Nevertheless, 4 years later the boots are still good and kicking. A good bit of the traction is wore off; about 1/2 of it. But hey, for taking me about a 1,000 miles worth of hiking they've held up great! Not the best in rainy conditions, but I've found that once the rain stops they tend to dry out decently quick.
